Not bad of a screenplay honestly. Interesting alternate timeline of the first game too. Definitely has that "A Boy and His Dog" feeling, one of Fallout's original inspirations
I feel like the cheesy aged wholesomeness would have added to a movie but I digress. It was a highly divisive time in the film industry, with hardly a good remake or film adaptation around until subscription streaming services started hiring actors and the decentralization and delegation of a large audience to the private sector helped with quality overall
I thought it was alright. But what really is bad is Bethesda hoarding their IPs, and making shit games with them. God forbid they collaborate with Obsidian again and make FONV2.
Ya know, i always felt like streets of fire seemed like it belongs in the fallout universe, almost like it was an unspoken story taken place in some NCR city.
meh, first one was awesome, all the rest was H-wood trash.... why didn't they use marco Beltrami again? manson i get it was busy but marco is a good composer! the plots of afterlife and the third one was just stupid....and even afterlife's beginning didn't match the end of part 1! the RE movies are more action than horror! and the series degrades with every movie!!! hell every Adaptation project degrades and is worse than the last one lol
@HiAgainTheNameIsStillAyle I think that vibe was mostly acquired with the advent of the Bethesda games. In the original two games it was far less pronounced.

We had a very fallout movie already... It wasnt called fallout but City of Ember was clearly made with a LOT of love for fallout.
Yes!
It was based on a book
Honestly this leaked script sounds less like Fallout movie and more like some really lame sci fi comedy... Idiocracy-light if you like.
thats what i was thinkin. The computers, telephones, the cars, a Valet for whatever reason, etc. Feels nothing like what makes Fallout so special.
It’s almost like that’s exactly what it is, 1950s stagnation to mock that decade

This alternate timeline is fascinating
It's cool to see what themes from this they took for the FO show. Nifty.

We almost got 1 movie & 1 tv show but both didnt get the funding they needed so both were scraped😢

Sounds like the planned movie had pretty strong 90's post-apocalyptic vibes.
That's actually bad, since Fallout should have 50's/60's post-apocalyptic vibes 💀
