    I played a SW tabletop RPG in which my character was a droid engineer. I made a floating spherical droid with two primary arms. One was a squeegee, the other was a squirt gun full of cleaning solution. There was a third, hidden arm that was a blaster, and it also had a compartment where it stored Thermal Detonators that it could activate, drop, and then float away from the blast zone. Nobody suspects the Squeegee-Bot! I named him 5Q3G3.

    This is a really big drawback in the prequel series of Star Wars to use droids and later on to change them with clones. Why do you need an army of humans (even enhanced), when you already have endless supply of basically terminators? Yeah, yeah, I know that in the prequel it was explained that the droids are dumb and don't have abstract thinking, combinative mind and so on.

    • @MrBiggrim
      @MrBiggrim 5 лет назад +1

      Psychological impact. Who would you, a civilian human, view as a greater threat to your life and liberty. A programmable killing machine or a living, breathing, feeling human that can demonstrate compassion ? It's easier to gather public opinion to support the Clone trooper than a emotionless killing machine. It all help's place Palpatine in the role as the leader of the good guy's.
      Be mindful, there is no drawback for Palpatine who is pulling the string's on both side's. It's his War

    • @MB-xo2lx
      @MB-xo2lx 5 лет назад +1

      Clone troopers are like zombies. Because of the armour, they look all the same. Also being humans, they need food, water, oxygen, life-support systems, shielding from the cosmic environment...you are getting it. If I were the emperor, I would make numerous armies of droids. Let them be dumb. Let them lack combinative thinking. The emperor would win by brute force and sheer number of the robots. Not to mention the insanity of building a Death Star...several times throughout the franchise. With the same amount of material you can build countless armadas of destroyers. It's not necessary to blow up whole planets. Just smash into them something small like a bawling ball travelling with the speed of light. It's the same like the meteorite killed the dinosaurs.

    One of my favorite legends assassin is the dashard from the old republic game.

      The Dashade were not really specifically assassins, just very big, super force resistant hulking brutes that eat force users.
      Sure they work as assassins but they are much better at being bodyguards.

    The new canon Nightsisters are a pitiful shadow of what the original Witches of Dathomir were, and so they added canon breaking "alchemy" to try to make them a little less stupid. Too bad it just made them more so.

    You forgot the dusha (I know that's not how its spelled) species that is force resistant and enjoy eating force users

    Hey Allen I believe you forgot to mention the mandilorians even if they're humanoid I believe they should have been mentioned

    If you're going to cite the Clawdite's shapeshifting as a main reason they're great for assassinations, then you should 100% have mentioned the Gurlanins. Even Jedi couldn't detect them unless the Gurlanin wanted them to.

    Surprised you left out the Trandoshans species. They literally have a religion dedicated to hunting other beings. Not to mention they have so many abilities that give them such an edge in hunting from their wookie level strength, infrared vision, excellent sense of smell and the list goes on. Really I feel like they should have been on here more than the Twi'leks a species less famous for hunting in general.
