It's enough of a challenge in figuring out how to live my own life. That said, the ramifications for or against polyandry and/or polygyny are different. It comes down to a simple math problem (fleshed out in greater detail in the concept of "male expendability")--e.g., Remote island/we need to save humanity--99 women and 1 man versus (again, remote island) 99 men and 1 woman. Which choice optimizes for population (re)growth? As an aside, if the choice is "99 men and 1 woman", I can say with a high level of confidence that the 99 men will try to kill each other, leaving only 1 man alive....
