I made this with just apples (we didn't have any cranberries) and my little brother LOVED it! He never likes ANYTHING I make, so this was huge, and after about 20 minutes the entire thing was gone and he was complaining he'd eaten too much. So now I know what to make for his birthday. Thank you, Julia!
This looks so good! I have had many a crumble before, but never made it myself. Last summer was the first time I made a pie even! (I made a tarte-au-sucre, very french canadian!)
yummy! I'm such a fan of recipes like this! I'm actually making something similar in a crock pot for a function i have this week - you take a couple packages of frozen mixed berries, some cranberry juice, and some dried cranberries and then add some sugar & cinnamon and let it cook on high in a crock pot for three hours. then you make a crumble that's basically like your crust and add it to the mix when you serve it - SOO yummy! :)
Omg it looks soo yummy, so gonna do this for Thanksgiving!! Thank you, I know my niece and nephew will go crazy for this, they both love apples and cranberries
WOMAN! You are killing me! I just made you cheesecake for the fist time last night, it was amazing. Now I'm going to have to make this too! Thanks for the awesome recipes!
this looks amaazing=) as all ur recipes Julia!!i cant tell u how much I love them al,think i will make this for christmas=D thank uu,please do recipes more often xx
YUMMY!!! Julia, where exactly do you get fresh cranberries in Switzerland? I want to try this recipe & just an fyi, braeburn apples are THE BEST apples I've ever eaten!!!
With Truvia and other stevia sweeteners, you are advised to only replace some of the sugar with it or the consistency won't come out right.Especially with the crumble topping, you really need some real sugar for it to become a crumble. I'd put the stevia in the fruit mixture just to reduce the sugar, I have had success doing that with apple crisp.
Hey Julia, Brown sugar here in the states is sugar with Molasses in it. It's very wet and has a ton of moisture and probably isn't what you want to be putting into this recipe. You could use White sugar OR we do have raw sugar here as well. Just wanted to clear up the difference between Brown and Raw sugar.
Ich hab es nachgemacht aber nur mit den Äpfeln und VIEL weniger Zucker :) Es war nach 20 minuten weg :D meine familie hats augegessen . Mega lecker danke für das Rezept ^^
Wish I could make this, but my mom's allergic to apples and couldn't have any. Do you think something like strawberries would taste just as good with the cranberries?
I've made this without cranberries and its easy and delicious. Next time I'll try adding in the cranberries, that makes it sound so much like a fall dessert. Do you have a good recipe for persimmons? My neighbor just gave me some and I thought I'd try some muffins or bread.
Sieht wirklich fantastisch aus :) trifft total meinen Geschmack :) könntest du vllt irgendwo das Rezept mit deutschen Maßangaben reinstellen? Wäre wirklich klasse :) liebe grüße
I can't find fresh cranberries in Barcelona, can I replace them with frozen cranberries or even dried cranberries ( I'll let them soak so they return to its normal consistency)? And what type of apples are U using, sweet, acid..? I'm not familiar with the ones U suggest in the video... Love from Barcelona
I literally come back to this video every December.
Re-watching to refresh my memory! Woot, making this again today! Love this recipe.

Hei juli. Did you use the plain old oatmeals or the processed one? Which is like in smaller cuts more like grains..
Sieht lecker aus. Sind quick oats zarte Haferflocken oder Babyflocken?
