So excited you chose to do my recipe. I clicked on the video this afternoon and, and my goodness, it was the one I sent you. Made my day! My husband and I love it and I’m so glad you and Melissa like it as well. Yes sir, a little ice cream is delicious, too. I’m ready to make it for Thanksgiving and Christmas!❤❤❤
Ruth, we held on to your recipe for quite a while because we wanted to use it in the fall of the year. It is a fantastic recipe and, yes, we enjoyed every bite of it. Thank you so much for sending it in for our Sunday Subscriber Series. We appreciate that you sent us the recipe and we appreciate your support for our channel.
Thank you to for sharing Ruth's recipe. I shortened some of the work by combining apples & cranberries in a bowl and mixed with sugar, then put in sprayed dish. Microwaved butter in bowl for a minute, stirred in b sugar until paste, then added oatmeal. Easier to spread over fruit by hand. I did bake in 9x13 but I would do again in square baker next time so it's thicker. Super easy, simple ingredients and quick to make. Good holiday taker. Sister loves cranberry so made her an early taster . Thanks again for sharing.😊
@@lgreen4479 after I made this recipe a couple of times I, too, started using a 9x9 dish to make it thicker. I’m sorry I failed to put that info in the recipe I sent Tom and Melissa. It’s delicious no matter how it’s baked! Glad you like it. Blessings!
I have had this recipe since the late.1980s. My recipe does not call for the apples to be peeled and it is delicious. It is also great served as a dessert with ice cream or whipping cream. I enjoy your channel and your cookbook is wonderful. Thank you for your work. Your kindness shines through.
Oh my, that recipe looks so delicious. I most definitely will be making it for Thanksgiving. My family loves cranberries as well. I just ordered y'all cookbook. Can't wait to get it. Thank y'all so much for sharing your recipes. God Bless and keep y'all safe❤
My wife made this tonight and added 6 tbs of butter and we are making it a Thanksgiving and Christmas dessert for years to come thank you for the beautiful lady who sent you this recipe and ❤
I see a new dish on my Thanksgiving table. Yummy and looks so pretty too. Thanks Ruth for sharing with Tom and Melissa. Thanks Tom for sharing with the rest of us.
I stopped pealing apples years (and years) ago. I wash them really well and cut out anything that needs it. This recipe sounds and looks delicious. I keep a regular supply of dried apricots, raisens, plums, mangos, and cranberries from Cosco. I scub my fresh fruit in baking soda and water. Thank you for finding another way to get me to eat an apple.
AZCanner, the apples do not have to be peeled, but Melissa and I much prefer for them to be peeled. I’m not crazy about apple peeling. Thanks for your support for our channel and for leaving us a comment!
Oh my! This dish came out of the oven a little bit ago . I made a separate little dish and tasted a little bit from that one! I absolutely love it!!!! I can’t begin to say how good it is!!!❤
Oh my that looks delicious!! My mouth is watering! I loved Tom’s reaction!! Thank you, Ruth, and thank you Tom and Melissa for making this and sharing it with your fans❤❤😊
Annette, I think you are going to find that this is a fantastic recipe. We hope you enjoy it just as much as we did. Thanks for being a part of our channel!
This is a winner and so simple and easy to bake. Shout out to Ruth. Thank you Tom and Melissa for a fine holiday edition. It will look so festive on my holiday table.
I absolutely love the "Subscriber Sunday Series." There are so many different recipes from so many different places. I don't know that you and your beautiful wife would have run across all of them. There are certain things that come from the north (chicken fricassee) and then there are certain things that come from the south (grits). My ex was from New York. I had never heard of some of the things that I learned to make because he liked them. Anyway, I could write a book on how much I like it so let me just say "Thank You" for continuing it and I hope it goes on forever. EDIT: I should have waited to comment because you said basically the sane thing lol.
This looks so good...I'm bed ridden so I'm hoping to have someone make this for me...also because I don't have any teeth I will have the apples shredded on a cheese grader and put the nuts in a food processor or blender so it is in powder format, but I will still have the flavor. Thank you so much for your great videos and recipes...I enjoy watching your videos more than any other cooking vidio...you explain everything and do it slowly so I can understand. ❤
We always buy frozen cranberries. Easy and convenient; and for as many as we use in a year (maybe 2 pouches) it doesn’t break the bank, either. Looking forward to trying this recipe!
Cranberries combined with apples can ONLY be DELICIOUS! We have cranberries where I was born and raised, but I have never bothered to do anything with cranberries. When I worked at Ocean Spray one year during cranberry season, and I actually did eat a few cranberries, fresh from the field. Needless to say, I am saving this recipe - - my family will be so surprised, and will think MOM has slipped a cog! LOL
This sounds absolutely yummy! I love using fresh cranberries. Ever since I started making my own cranberry sauce, I can no longer eat the canned stuff.
Grumpyoldlady, I totally agree that homemade cranberry sauce is 10,000 times better than the canned stuff. However, I like the canned cranberry sauce too. We hope you try this recipe and enjoy it as much as we did. Thanks for being a part of our channel and for leaving us a comment.
WE like cranberries so will make this. My sister bought a bunch of cranberries and made her own cranberry juice, soooooo good. We made cranberry milkshakes. Out of this world.
I would add a little cinnamon & then it would be perfect for me. I would peel the apples & I like the choice of pecans too. Going to make for Christmas.
guesswhonancy, thank you for that sweet comment. I just have to make sure that the food doesn’t burn her.😃 Thank you for being a wonderful part of our channel and for leaving us a comment.
What a wonderful combination of ingredients, I love them all. I'm going to make it this week and take it into the non-profit where I volunteer, I guarantee it will disappear in a flash. Tom and Melissa, I look so forward to Subscriber Sundays, you have no idea. The recipes have been out of this world.
Made this. Very good, especially with pecans chopped rather large. I would prefer less cranberries and more apples, due to the tartness. Thanks to you and to the contributor of this recipe. The crumble topping is superb being not to sweet or full of fat
Hello Tom & Melissa- this looks like a great recipe. Thank you Ruth for sending in this recipe. We will be trying it for the holidays. Thank you Tom, Melissa & Ruth. God Bless you all and vary a blessed week everyone. 🙏👏👏👏💕🌻
My favorite fruits all in one dish❤ 😋 Thank you, Ruth, for subnitting this recipe and for Tom & Melissa for sharing it! Amd your right Tom about stocking up on cranberries when in season. (I may be excessive in my purchase of 24 bags😂) Then freezing them for the year😊

Ty viewer for recipe!! For the viewers cranberries always goes on sale after the main season! Like 50 cents a bag, please stock up for the freezer! Than like cranberry recipes threwout the new year!! Just me, but I would put this on a Turkey sandwich just sounds good!
Oh, my goodness. I think putting this with a turkey sandwich sounds absolutely perfect! Tom and I love the food this season of the year! It's so, so good! We always appreciate the sales of cranberries post-holiday time, too. And we never seem to freeze enough to last us until the next holiday season. 😊 We really appreciate that you are such a sweet part of our channel, Mary. It's great having you at our table with us.
I've made this many times and I agree it is absolutely delicious. I serve this as a dessert on the Fourth of July with a bit of ice cream. I also always keep a large bag of cranberries in my freezer, if you get a craving for cranberries mid summer you may as well give up.
Oh my, another wonderful easy dessert! Thank you Ruth, Tom and Melissa. I love all those quick, easy and delicious desserts. I’ll be making this one for sure😊
When I saw the thumbnail, I thought we were getting a cherry dessert, not a huge fan of apple desserts, but I think that cranberry addition would save it for me. I like the idea of the tart that they would add. Always excited to get a notification that y'all have uploaded another video. You never disappoint.
Bowed305, we really do appreciate your love and support. We think you'll really enjoy this recipe and the tartness that goes with it. We hope your week is off to a wonderful start!
I love cranberries, and just bought my first ones for the season. I can't wait to try this wonderful recipe. I often throw a handful in my oatmeal as I make it, along with a generous amount of sugar. (I also love that you're still coordinating your shirts with the recipe. LOL) Thank you, as always.
You guys make me excited for the holidays. With the weather getting cooler and the time change coming, they will be upon us in no time. Thank you Tom, Melissa, and Ruth. Have a blessed Sunday
We love this time of year. It's our favorite time to cook and bake and share food with family and friends. We are so pleased to have you as part of our channel.
I'm so happy to find this channel. My husband is the cook now that he's retired. So...I just ordered the cookbook from you and Melissa for his Christmas gift. Thanks for making cooking fun again!! Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year to you and your family. 😇❤
Just received your cookbook in the mail! It came a whole 2 weeks ahead of schedule! Whoopee! I haven’t started “reading” it yet, but right out of the gate I know it is a good one for 2 reasons! 1. Spiral binding: lies flat on the counter. It also makes it easy to write comments or any tweaks I should make to a recipe. 2. Photos: boy, was I surprised with this feature; and they are in color!! It’s a great thing we are headed into cooler/colder weather. I can spend my days inside my warm kitchen perusing your delicious recipes. Thanks!
We are so happy that you have received the cookbook! Our local printing company has worked so hard and has been so dedicated to helping us get these cookbooks sent out! We are so happy to hear that you appreciate the spiral binding. For a cookbook, we think that is crucial because it’s frustrating to try to cook with a book that flops back together. They are adding cookbooks every afternoon and evening. Hopefully, everyone that is interested will be able to get one soon. We certainly appreciate that you are a part of our RUclips family.
I love cranberries. I can't wait to make this. I buy bags of cranberries and freeze them. Seems like they're available around Thanksgiving only. Got to stock up 😅
I love, love, love cranberries. I always have extra bags in my freezer cause I love homemade cranberry sauce on turkey sandwiches all year long! I will definitely try this wonderful looking recipe. The banter between you and Melissa is always so precious. It truly shows how much you love and respect each other. Thanks to Ruth for sharing this recipe and thank you Tom and Melissa for another wonderful subscriber Sunday!❤
That looks so good Tom and Melissa and came along at the greatest time of the Year too. Thanks for sharing the recipe with us and to your subscriber for sharing with you too. Fred.
Fred, we have held on to this recipe for quite a while. Ruth sent it to us several months ago but I wanted to save it for the fall of the year. I think it’s a perfect autumn dessert. As always, we appreciate your support and encouragement.
I always buy cranberries in the fall and freeze them. I love to make my mother's cranberry salad every year and sometimes I love to make it during the year and freeze it. I am going to have to make this. It sounds so good and I really need to use my frozen cranberries. I saw fresh cranberries in Walmart in our local store the other day, so they do have available fresh cranberries already. I enjoy watching you so much. I copy/paste your recipes and print them off. I have almost a folder full of your amazing recipes. It sure is hard to cook for one person but I do it and by the time I get through with eating whatever I have cooked, I sure do not want to see it for a while. Thank you for sharing all of your amazing recipes, I can't wait to see your holiday recipes.
Goin to make this Cranberry Apple Bake for Thanksgiving. It will be so easy to make during the Holidays. Thanks for the subscriber who sent in this recipe to you, and thank you for making this. Much love Thomas and Melissa, stay blessed, and safe🥰🤗😇❤🍎🍏🦃🍁🍂🌞
It would be good to put a little cornstarch or flour on the fruit so that the liquid would thicken up. Stir in some melted butter, too. I always add a pinch of salt to sweet dishes like this. You're right, it just calls for vanilla ice cream!
Apples, cranberries, and walnuts are one of my favorite fall flavor combos! Will definitely be making this - a winner for sure! Thanks for sharing! ❤️🍁😋
I can't wait tontry this recipe. I love cranberries. I am going to make it for Thanksgiving. Thank you for sharing so many great recipes. I made the chicken dressing with Stove Top and it was delicious.
When I sold Pampered Chef, I always stressed which tools were right AND left handed. My apple cores and peels go to the deer. This one looks like a winner too.
So delicious looking. And even before you said vanilla ice cream i had already visualized it on my serving when i make it. Good video and recipe. Thank you both.
I’m new to your channel. I tried this cranberry apple bake yesterday. It’s just my husband and myself so I made 1/3 of the recipe using a 5x5 pan. YUM!! Tonight it’s gone. I’m making this for our thanksgiving this week instead of cherry pie! I’m glad I found your channel, thanks so much!
Hey my family from a special channel as always I enjoy sitting at your table. Hope you both enjoying your weekend as God continues blessings you both. I got your cook book and what gift it is to me . I send my love and prayers to you and your family Jeff from Maine
That looks delicious. I'll be making that for Thanksgiving. I received my cookbook on Saturday, 3 days earlier than what I was supposed to. I opened it up right away, and I have to say that the dedication page and the introduction of you speaking about your childhoid was lovely. The cookbook is well designed and oh so many recipes. If you haven't ordered one yet, I recommend you do so. Now I have the recipes at my finger tips and I no longer have to search for them.
My husband & I had to watch this twice. Why? We both fell asleep the first time. Blame it on the yard sale on Saturday and Sunday. We're a few days behind on all the youtube we watch. It was just as fun to see the parts we remembered as what we didn't.
Hi Tom and Melissa! Just thought I would let you know that I just made this dish now. It's been in the oven for about 5 minutes. Of course, I had this video at the ready to refer back to. I can't wait to try it. Thank you to Ruth for submitting it.
I'm making this today. I did it the easy way i put the apples, cranberries, and sugar in a bowl mixed, then mixed it. I did add more butter to the topping. It's very tasty, but you have to love cranberries.
Hi Tom and Melissa ! This recipe sounds very simple but I bet it will be absolutely delicious ! I might just make the for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas. My family and neighbors are going to love this !
Hello Tom and Melissa, this recipe is right on time with thanksgiving right around the corner, I’ll most definitely making this for my family gathering, thanks for sharing stay bless 🙏🏾🕊️🍂🍁
I bought one of your cookbooks, and I love it. And I followed you during Thanksgiving, and that was great. I like it because you do step by step instructions, and I need that.🎉
I inserted in the 1 1/2 cups sugar (mixed with 2 TBSPS. cornstarch) and sent it on to all my friends. Thank you Tom and Melissa! I love all your recipes and have tried many. From Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

Good Morning this looks delicious love cranberries i think i would add either ice cream or whip topping
Thanks Melissa, for posting the recipes among your many video work.
I’m not crazy about cranberries and green apples but I think I’ll try this recipe. You had me a butter, brown sugar and pecans. Looks yummy. Thanks!
Making it right now. Added 1/4 cup flour to apple mixture to thicken juices, We’ll see. Thanks so much
It would be good to put a little cornstarch or flour on the fruit so that the liquid would thicken up. Stir in some melted butter, too. I always add a pinch of salt to sweet dishes like this. You're right, it just calls for vanilla ice cream!
Oh definitely serve it warm with vanilla ice cream on it
This looks delicious! That's coming from a cranberry lover of many years! I'm making this for my Bible study group as they love sweet things!
I love watching your and Toms's videos I cant wait to try this one
Apples, cranberries, and walnuts are one of my favorite fall flavor combos! Will definitely be making this - a winner for sure! Thanks for sharing! ❤️🍁😋
Making this for dessert with tonight's dinner. You rock, Tom & Melissa.
Thank you for sharing this. I haven't been home for Thanksgiving for 12 years. I will make this for Thanksgiving
I made this yesterday. I wasn't expecting much but it turned out to be very good !! I will make it again. Very simple too.
I can't wait tontry this recipe. I love cranberries. I am going to make it for Thanksgiving. Thank you for sharing so many great recipes. I made the chicken dressing with Stove Top and it was delicious.
I love cranberries and will be making this soon.
This looks really good- thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe !
Frosted cranberries!??! Yes, please! I LOVE cranberries
I throw my peals over the deck. The birds are very happy
Our 🐓’s love the peels as well! 😊
I'm sure they are! 😊
Hey my family from a special channel as always I enjoy sitting at your table. Hope you both enjoying your weekend as God continues blessings you both. I got your cook book and what gift it is to me . I send my love and prayers to you and your family Jeff from Maine
I might make this for our family gathering. We’re getting together the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It’ll give me a cranberry dessert.
I'll be making this for our Thanksgiving too. Thank you so much for sharing. Looks so good.
What a great fall/holiday recipe! Thank you Ruth, Tom & Melissa 🍁 🧦🧤🧣
Oh tom serve with whipped cream yum. Yum
Love cranberries! Like to make cranberry orange scones.
Hi Tom and Melissa !
This recipe sounds very simple but I bet it will be absolutely delicious ! I might just make the for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas. My family and neighbors are going to love this !
This will be good for Thanksgiving or Christmas.
I have some dried cranberries and think I'll rehydrate and try this before the holidays.

I live in New Jersey where they grow cranberries for ocean spray. It’s nice getting fresh picked cranberries at their annual Cranberry festival.
I bet those are fantastic! What a nice treat to be able to get them locally and fresh.
I made this for our Thanksgiving meal at my apartment complex today. Everyone really liked it. Thanks for sharing such a delicious recipe!!!
