I like the 3rd photo, with the buttons on the top, you can change your setting without taking your eye from the view finder, seeing every change that you make. No diving into the menus is great.

3rd photo is my fav as well, Panasonic have really good ergonomics, button placement/layout is great.
It's really quick to adjust settings on the fly lie you say without diving into the menus all the time.
      Cheers.

I like the feel and the look of Lumix cameras and lenses but can't afford them!! I really want a full frame but will have to stick to my Panasonic G9 and make do.

These S1 cameras are getting cheap now, this particular camera I borrowed from my local camera store has it for $1350NZD which isn't much above a good used G9 camera, of course the lenses are bigger and heavier but if you want full frame you deal with that right?
These S1 cameras are really good value and really underrated, they pack a lot of tech into the camera.
      Thanks for your comment.

S1, S5 used are at 900 euro now. Meike started selling decent l-mount AF primes new for 200 euro.

@@mipmipmipmipmip-v5x That's great that 3rd party manufacturers are making lenses for the L mount now, the more the merrier I say.
The L mount is turning into a great system now and the Panasonic full frame cameras are great value.
      Cheers.

Got my S1 few months ago and mainly use mf lenses. I hope panasonic will release some classic rendering lenses

They all seem to be chasing the ultimate sharpness in lenses these days, the Zeiss 50mm F1.4 I just tested is manual focus and produces some really nice photos, not the sharpest but really pleasing look to them.
      Cheers.

@@pictureworldphotography thx for your reply. Some of the chinese manufacturers seem to realise that sharpness is not the most important asset of the lens. They are releasing some low element count lenses with no special elements like ED and aspherical elements. Yes they have vignetting, CA, some softness, not much corner sharpness etc but the rendering is life like! Also, they are way cheaper to produce!

@@Someone_Else1 Yes the Chinese are certainly making some affordable lenses, all good for the consumer though 👍
      Cheers.
