Another fun fact: NF has said his favorite movie is Inception Mansion is one of several of his deep cut songs. No one is ever prepared for "How Could You Leave Us" It's an emotional journey but beyond worth it!!
As a few others have already commented, remember the line “fear came to my house years ago, I let him in” when you get around to listening to “Intro 3”, it’ll make a lot of sense. Keep up the good work guys!
Old video I know but I have to say this: To have an artist that I love, come out in his song and say “dragged me downstairs and beat me until I screamed and cried” is so… so raw. So real. So honest and beyond brave. And it is so so so helpful for people like me. It helped save me. And I will always be thankful. For someone that I idolized and went to for aid, to feel like he reached through my phone and grabbed the ONE FEAR that I am most afraid of by the THROAT. I’ve never felt more heard.
I just realized! “I fell in love with my pain and slept with my regret”. That verse from “remember this” is a recall to THIS song where he talks about his room of regrets and it’s the room where he “sleeps”. That’s 🔥 I originally thought that the anger, love, pain, and regret was cool wordplay and scheme but it’s deeper than that, of course.
He doesn't "just know". He just talks about real shit everyone in the world goes through. He might put it in a really specific context of his experience, but he talks about it like anyone can relate to the emotions he's expressing.
Guys... damn. The empathic mom in me wanted to climb through the screen and hug y'all during that last verse. Y'all literally brought tears to my eyes... GREAT reaction.
@@the_campfire_official There are a few that are pretty tough, even being in my mid 50's and having gone through some pretty tough things in my life... the journey is definitely a rollercoaster ride for the emotions!! SOOOOO many relatable things in so many songs. Love and hugs to you both!
Most underrated artists out there! He’s built different! Seeing you both have the emotions hit you was special because that’s the same way most of us felt in those same moments. Great video! The NF journey is unmatched!
its ok to be emotional bros. Everyone either can or has related to some of these things at one point or another. The best music will always make you feel something. Great Reaction!
"Im not coming to the door, so stop knocking..." This line in the song gets me every time. Took me a long while to be able to listen to this song completely thru, and I was an emotional mess. Still get super emotional whenever I listen to this song, Awesome teaction to one of the most lyrically emotive artist. Sending yall positive vibes and positive energy!
I was just wondering the other day if you guys were going to come back to NF! I do wish that you didn't cut anything out... I personally prefer longer, uncut reactions because #NFrealmusic deserves a 100% real reaction. Thanks for recommending the movie - I'm planning to watch it tonight 😊
@@Rykerroad I felt like y'all cut out the silent parts, even said that to my son ("I think they edited out some of their speechlessness")... that last verse, I could tell y'all were searching for words. In a way it was heartbreaking to watch even what was still there... felt like one of those moments when someone says "If you know, you know"
I was right there with you guys on this one, it hit hard and I am amazed how honest this guy is. Props to you both for not breaking down....you're better than me...Great reaction...More NF please
Y'all got me over here bawling my eyes out. This is what I refer to as the foundation to the journey. It really helps you to understand Nate's and the things he's gone through. Be sure to remember Fear. He comes back throughout the journey...
FOR REAL it doesn't need a video. Listening to this song, I forget it doesn't have one. I feel like I'm watching him give us a tour of his "house" and when I snap out of it I realize the video is all one thing.
I will never stop talking about this man. His music and his words have such a powerful effect on me it’s not funny. The verse “I built a safe room and I don’t let no one in there, because if I do, there’s a chance that they might disappear and not come back I admit I am emotionally scared to let anyone inside so I just keep my doors locked you might get other doors to open up but this doors not. Cause I don’t want you to have the opportunity to hurt me and I’ll be the only person to blame when you desert me” hit me on such a deeper level. Every time I hear it I cry.
We can all relate to this in so many ways but its an artist like NF that has such a way with words and expressing the pain that he can cut right into the heart of feelings we don't know how to verbally express.... He says all the things we wish we knew how to say.
Nate is an intensely talented artist. His videos are not only visually stunning, but laced with clues that connect them and his lyrical metaphors impressive. But his skill that takes it all over the top is his passionate story telling. I'm so happy I ended up finding your channel! I'm always down to take this journey again. Buckle up, guys. It's one hell of a ride!
Thank you so much for a real reaction to such a real song. NF is one of those few artists that not only gets into the toughest topics, but does it in a way that makes you want more even when it hurts.
In the end he gave „Fear“ the pronoun „he“ . My assumption is that he identifies fear with a male component that physically abused him. What y’all think?
Absolutely loved this reaction! The emotion we could see always makes a reaction more real and honest. I too am more a metal head but NF is such a great artist, I don’t see how anyone could not see the greatness. Even took my daughter to see his concert. Keep up the great NF reactions, I’ll be here for all of them.

I love how yall show the real reaction. Like for real I remember my first listen and wanting to show people like yall. Cause NF music is always so in the moment.
Watching this video, having been on the journey many times, I just kept thinking, “Just wait. Just wait”. NF is untouchable as an artist. And he is one in every sense of the word.
The way the lyrics just hits you guys near the end to the point you are just speechless and need to catch your breath really speaks to how RAW and Heartbreaking this song is. I love Mansion, but I find myself skipping it sometimes if I don't wanna get emotional.
Wow, this song, your reaction! You guys got me in the feels on this one. I don't know your storys but I can see the pain in your eyes so vividly. I've been struggling lately but I'm that girl that sees others pain and wish I had a way to comfort them and forget about mine. Virual hugs for both of you! 🥺🤗
Thank you for your raw and honest review. NF has a song or two that will hit every person in the feels and make them think. It won't be the same song for everyone and not every song is going to make you sad. Looking forward to watching the journey
I found this song over 7 years ago in rehab. Instantly became an NF fan. Been showing him to people for years. He's finally getting the recognition and respect he deserves. Lyrical ability and storytelling are unmatched. My stress. Only. Prideful. I know I'm annoying. But you'll see my comments at some point. 😂 y'all killing it. Appreciate the reactions and your own vulnerability as well fellas.
Just watched your reaction to his release ‘Hope.’ I began this reaction journey with you because your energy and passion for music from MY favorite rapper is too infectious to not start from the beginning!!
I'm way behind on your content, I'm just finding you today. But seein' your reactions brings me back to the first time I ever heard this song, and seein' the reactions... chills.
ive heard this song so many times before this reaction but whole hell i have never properly sat down to listen without a distraction around and im literally in tears
I love how NF takes us all through his healing journey its commendable. This song makes me sob because its the deepest pain he holds inside the abuse from his moms boyfriend 😭
I pretty much exclusively watch NF reaction videos because I absolutely LOVE seeing people getting "hit" with that sweet sweet NF Real Music for the first time. I am 100% watching the rest of your NF reacts as you make them. As you continue on the journey, pay attention to the recurring themes of his songs and it truly is amazing the web of lyrics he weaves.
first watch- Kyle, I'm very similar and like metalcore a lot due to the insane emotional aspect of the music and it's energy and that is also why I love NF. I relate to some of the things he says heavily and even when I do not, he says it in such a way that can hit you. Nice to see someone who gets a bit teary/emotional like I do lol Earned a sub, like the balance you guys have.
Love your nf reactions, you can always take time and talk about the bars if you want, dont need to cut it out, we love to hear what you think about that. But as always, sick reaction👌
Aww Kyle I always just wanna hug ya...I don't wanna see u cry but 'how could u leave us' is an Important song and will help u to understand more of nfs background and a big reason as to y he is the way he is ..love u both xoxoxoxo
This perfectly describes the realities of child abuse and its permanent impact on the person as an adult. The sad fact is snd this is borne out in the reactions I've seen majority understand bc something Similar in their history. Child abuse is by far the most prevalent thing in th3 country with see something like 75% if not higher of populace coming from some form of child abuse. Abd this song illustrates perfect how it leaves a permanent mark on the soul and in some way drives so much of your adult life. And ya I speak as one of that 75%.
Okay so i was gonna save my sub for How Could you Leave, I've already watched 'The Search' and 'Intro' Reactions so I knew it was coming. But to see you guys emotionally melt as the song went made me tear up the same way I felt hearing this song for the first time. Welcome to the family bros. Some advice, let it flow. w.e it is, tears, words, let em out. all of us do when we listen to NF.
I listen to you guys at work, so often I listen more then see. So you react to a song with just lyrics, is damn awesome. The song was hitting home hard. Thanks for the reaction and I am with you guys on this journey! Let’s go!
FYI: unless he has listed nme that he featured in a song it is always him singing. He changes the pitches in his voice to sound like a child or a woman, etc. He is very creative that way. Always listen to his songs to the very end too because you may miss something. NF is so worth the whole listen anyway. Much love ✌❤
This is for anyone new who may want to take the NF journey as we call it because he intertwines his music like marvel movies. All four albums is like a connected series. For instance in his when i grow up song, paid my dues, leave me alone, and why song, the black smile is the fake smile that he mentions in therapy session song. He hides eggs in his videos. In when i grow up song there was three hidden eggs in that song. A black balloon by the trash cans and in burger joint he grabbed at receipt that had the date and time of when his song time was being released. He had outcast name tag on in the janitor part from his Outcast song. Another example is in the search song he had cage in background he rapped in from his outcast song. Here is the song order: Mansion Album: All I have (video) Intro (video) Mansion-connects to intro 3. Fear moved in. Wake Up (video) Paralyzed Notepad (video) Therapy Session Album: Intro 2 (video) calls our his wake up song Therapy Session (video) Very important song. Explains the black smile I just wanna know (video) How could you leave us-(video) have tissues nearby. Real song- (video) he pays homage to lil wayne in this song “ feed me rappers or feed me beats” but adds feed me both of them Grindin ft Marty (video) Oh Lord- this song gets referred to in returns two albums later. Great song Statement (he pays homage to eminem and drake in this song) Warm Up -single (hype song) (video) Epiphany- collab with futuristic. Video. Pays homage to meek mill. Green lights (video) pay attention to what he has written on the notepad at the end. Perception Album: Outro (video) pay attention to the video. It is like marvel endgame how he connects tons of previous videos in this. Intro 3 (one of his best songs) connects to mansion. Fear and him battle. Outcast (video) Know- pays homage to eminem and 21 pilots Destiny One hundred Let you down (video) watch to the very end! If you want love (video) Remember this- 💎 Gems all over this track Single: No Name. (Video) This gets connected in leave me alone song an album later. Single: Why- (video) NF pays big homage to Big Sean as he uses his flow from bounce back in this and mentions Big Seans name and his album I decided. (This isnt nates flow he says) Also he has a ton of eggs like Dont mess with real music written on walls. Pay attention to all the writing. Additionally, Big Sean paid homage back in harder than my demons song he had the black balloons in it among other things Search Album: Whole album should be listened to but you can choose which you would like to do: The search (video) pays homage to Kanye West When I grow up (video) Leave me alone (video) Change My stress Nate Time (video) Returns- (hype song) one of his best for flow switches and word play Only Let me go Interlude then I hate myself song I miss the days No excuses (hype song) Like this Options (hype song) Thinking Trauma singing only song. Amazing Paid My Dues (video) It was to the awful article rolling stones put out because the writer was a big chance the rapper fan and was pissed NF took number one spot. Over 400 people bashed that writer in the comments lol Chasing -demo he did with a fan. Clouds the Mixtape- Clouds (video) Lost ft Hopsin (video) Story (video) That’s a Joke (pays homage to J Cole) Just like you Prideful Layers Drifting Trust ft Tech N9ne Also there is many good songs not on this list like Dreams, you’re special ect if you like him then take the time and go back through and listen through them all at some point. His lost in the moment song was just used for the promo for the new show called the equalizer starring Queen Latifah.
Not every song gets a video but with the way he writes I feel like his lyrics create a one for you.
I don’t need a video to paint the picture he creates.

A black balloon by the trash cans and in burger joint he grabbed at receipt that had the date and time of when his song time was being released. He had outcast name tag on in the janitor part from his Outcast song. Another example is in the search song he had cage in background he rapped in from his outcast song.
