- In this episode we cross the border, sailing our boat from San Diego, California to Mexico to start our new cruising adventure!
Peter and Tom are gay sailors who learned to sail relatively recently in the San Francisco Bay, before casting off the lines to cruise Mexico and sail around the world!

69 year old from L.A. I went on the Star Of India when I was SIX years old !! A 'Must See' if in San Diego ! My nephew has a 42 ft sailboat in San Diego. And, at 2:30, I was stationed in those hangars in 1974 ! Behind you to the right. North Island Naval Air Station. GO NAVY !!

You guys are living my DREAM! Such a joy to watch you handle it. The farthest south I've sailed is Ensenada. Can't wait... three or maybe four more years... then SEA OF CORTEZ here I come!

Millions of years ago (1987) my bud and me attempted to sail to SoCal from SF, with me dreaming of Baja, we made it to Monterey, CA and turned back. Super stoked y’all crossed the southern line. Great Videos!!!!!!!
It was soooo exciting! 3 years in the planning and it finally happened! we miss California waters though! So pretty!

Back in 2010 we sailed from SD to Ensenada and then San Martin. On the way down we caught two blue sharks and a plastic bag.
Ha ha well that plastic bag must have been delicious!! Marinated and grillled? lol

Moc dekuji a ještě že jste mi to připomenula, zítra oficiálně nebudu na lodi nic dělat jen oslavovat svátek. Už jsme ve městě La Paz-Mexiko a je tu latinský karneval, tak si užíváme. Hezký vikend .

Mrkla jsem na to , nádherná příroda všude kolem, ale i to město i karneval ( Tam se dal dobře oslavit ten svátek.) Jen to všechno vstřebávejte a užívejte !

Děkuji za další epizodu. Koukala jsem na ni z mobilu a teď i na PC, dala jsem si to na TV - abych měla větší obrazovku a tím pádem i větší požitek ze sledování. Velký obdiv u mě máte, jak dokážete plout v noci a skoro nespat, to bych asi chcípla :-), ale pak si přes den můžete zase odpočinout a nemusíte do práce. Tak to vám závidím. Přeji příjemnou plavbu a už se těším na Mexico. Pa a pusu....

No need to sail overnight from SD to Ensenada... just leave SD very early. (In 2013 we sailed overnight... learned it simply wasn't necessary.)
You missed alot of really cool anchorages on baja.
Yes sadly were in the clock for our temporary resident visa. After checking in in Ensenada we had about two weeks to get to La Paz to complete the process
Hey. What was the point of the CBP 1300 form to “legally check out”
Is that something US citizens need to do before sailing to Mexico?
It's the closest thing to a Zarpe that the US issues. I don't think citizens need it but it's sometimes good to have if the customs official in the country you are going to is expecting a Zarpe.

Can you be more specific about what happened with Mexican immigration? I'm planning to sail the same way, US visa b1/b2
it turned out to be that its very depending on who you get on the counter that day!! the first person who said NO to us ( was obviously having bad day) and the 2 nd person who we saw there when we came back processed it with no questions or problems! Welcome to Mexico!!

Never did . In fact ,5 years later.. still sailing and never been stopped
