Footlock Escape to Mount

This is a highly effective escape when your opponent has you in the footlock position. What’s different about this escape is that it leads you to mount, where all of the other escape options simply buy you time without actually advancing your position. Sometimes you get lucky and your opponent will gift you an armbar while you’re pulling yourself on top.
