I have had the Alesis qmini for some months now and whilst it is not my main studio midi controller, it is fantastic for use on the move and/or traveling. As far as I can tell, it is identical except in name, to the M-Audio Keystation Mini32. I can see the looper pedal could be great for laying down ideas quite quickly.

Also, happy birthday Kyoto/Kioto (if it's even spelled right?) She's a very good girl.
Nice compilation of affordable gear in order to make music making more accessible! I love the Daddario tuners, got one for my guitars, but a different model.
So many bargains there! That MXL mic was unexpectedly good! (I recently bought an AudioTechnica 2020 as an impulse buy and I love it, even though it was more like $150. Good mics don't have to cost a fortune.) Behringer make a few really small USB mixers, too. People like to rat on Behringer but they do make good stuff.
the m track solo has been by far the best Investment i have ever made to myself. i do a lot of narration work so it helps massively improve the audio quality in that regard but also because it came with its own audio driver it totally replaced the crap built in sound cards of my laptop tbf this is probably standard on audio interfaces but the fact that the thing is only 50$ and it does everything you need an audio interface to do! rock solid absolutely outstanding i love this thing

Hey Sanjay, I was a little surprised that you weren’t giving out treats on the studio desk 😂 The MXL sounded surprisingly good! Pushing it through a budget interface nonetheless
Hi Sanjay. I am looking to buy a midi and was wondering which one to get. I’m stuck between the akai mpk mini plus, or the arturia minilab 3. Which one do you think is better?
Hey Sanjay! I just recently got a launchpad x and i was thinking of getting a synth or maybe upgrading my midi keyboard to a 49 key one, could you make an updated video on midi keyboard reccomendations? Or maybe a video on beginners guide to choosing synth? Thanks man! Have always loved your contents!!
If you want more of a Groovebox (with rhythm/drum section), I’d recommend Roland JD-Xi (it also has vocoder and lots of other fun options), or Roland SH-4d (just got mine and absolutely love it)! If you are more focused on playing keys I’d prob recommend the ASM Hydrasynth Explorer or the MiniFreak/MicroFreak. All of them have great sound, are fairly easy and extremely fun to use, come in at a fair price point for what you get, and all (except maybe the Mini and MicroFreaks) are fully portable and can be powered by batteries or external power pack). Just my humble opinion and two cents. I’m fairly new to Synths, myself. Instant fun, and helps me learn and understand music and sound, and really helps me come up with things I probably wouldn’t, otherwise. Hope this helps and I hope you love whatever you get. As far as midi keyboards, it really depends what you want to use it for, use it with (DAWs, other hardware, etc…), what size you need for studio or portability, and how much you want to spend. I’m partial to Akai’s drum pads, Arturia’s keys, and like Novation for their integration with DAWs and hardware (although, other companies are starting to catch up in that department). Lot’s of awesome options out there. I will say, I absolutely love my previously mentioned Roland Synths/grooveboxes! And I hope to get a Hydrasynth Explorer and/or Mini/MicroFreak in the near future, as well… But I might just get another SH-4d… 😜
Good day San jay I love to see reviews because it’s a pro and con display before you get the real thing I was just wondering if it is possible to talk to you personally because I think if I email you it will be difficult to get the attention because your a very busy person… I would really love to talk to you because I had difficulty purchasing online
I really appreciate your reviews. My 9 y/o son has a growing interest in music, especially electronic music, that I would like to support. I'd like to get him set up using is iPad to start learning piano and basic electronic music creation skills, and I'm interested to learn alongside him. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on a good USB midi keyboard for the iPad, ideally with pads, and what iOS app(s) you would recommend for a beginner to learn piano and to start learning how to create music. From one of your other videos I was looking at: - Arturia Minilab 3 - Akai MPK Mini or Mini Plus - Novation Launchkey Mini - Nektar Impact LX Mini - M-Audio Oxygen Pro Mini As a beginner it's hard to differentiate them. I do know that I'd prefer him to have physical controls over having to go onscreen, where applicable. Again, thank you!
Arturia Minilab is an excellent choice. I can't comment on iOS compatibility because I haven't tested all those with iOS. But I highly recommend GarageBand to learn how to create music on an iPad. You can do so much with it! And its easy to understand.
