Well what a fantastic place, the meal was outstanding,and the cheesecake looked to die for. This country has some outstanding countryside.
Nothing to be ashamed of memory’s of loved ones do make anyone cry at times it’s good to remember them

That’s the kind of quality of fish and chips I’m used to in the Award winning The Bay Chipper in Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire, though they now have strong competition from the two other fish and chip shops in the town, (Redcloack Chippy and The Carron - where the deep fried Mars Bar was invented). That place you were at looks absolutely superb 😊

fish and chips with mushy peas and curry sauce every time the pub is certainly out of the ordinary.the meal was expensive for a few chips and haddock but the fish did look good 8/10

Just in the area just now, as I’m staying in oxenholme. Been to a few places in the past couple of days. Went on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway yesterday and took the boat out to Ambleside. Today I’ve been away to Grasmere and Kendal. Tomorrow off to Bowness and Thursday we’re going to try out the Keswick Market.

Good Evening my Friend. I absolutely Loved your video. What a really Stunning Establishment situated in this Beautiful place called Bowland Bridge. The Hare and Hounds Inn. This one is on my Map to go and visit and have a Excellent and very Sumptuous cooked meal. Your Fish & Chips with the Home Made Sauces looked Absolutely Delicious Lee. The Menu, was so simple and the Dishes looked Incredible. I would have chosen the Venison Pie with all of the Trimmings and to follow, deffinately the Grandma Leone's New York Cheese Cake. I have eaten New York Cheese Cake a while ago. It is just the Best. Your meal Lee, was fit for a King. You are a King. You do not need to Apologise for getting upset, I totally Understand why. Your Mother and Father would be so Proud of You today. They would be, looking down at You and what You have Achieved in Your Life and Yes, both of them are Smiling at You Lee. Very Well done to You from myself to You Jonathan/ Peterborough. ☺🤓❤❤🙏🙏🙏
There is definitely a theme in pubs of serving bigger condiments than meals. Chips are cheap, give us more!

I can understand the emotional attachment to the place, but I agree with you overall. But...the fish was too thin for that price. Chips looked nice, perhaps a few more would be appropriate.

Lovely pub and the Fish 'n' Chips looked amazing, with regards to the Cheesecake it also looked amazing and was well presented and was a shame to cut into it, it looked proper photogenic. Hoping to go to the Lake District next year so that will be on my bucket list.

What a very well presented plate of fish & chips Lee in a lovely looking pub; clearly borne out by the taste and texture of them. Great little sides of the usual stuff and quaint salt & pepper. Testament there to the management and chef(s).

What is it with everyone being stingy on the chips these days? Potatoes grow like weeds, they're so cheap and are given away they're so plentiful. So I really have no idea why they decide to give you like one potato worth of chips.
