I find this channel amusing. Mainly because when I glance at the comments, I feel such a sense of social superiority it confirms my standing. In a limited but sublime manner.
No, it's not. I remember as a boy 50 years ago, people were moaning in exactly the same way that 'Xmas' was replacing 'Christmas'. Soon we'll get fed up with 'White Christmas', 'Merry Christmas' from Slade, 'Do they know it's Christmas?' etc, etc
Not surprising when Christianity is disappearing and churches empty! Whilst Jesus is mocked at Olympics most Christians don’t care people from other religions were more outraged
@@CaptainperfectionPeople can't tell the difference between nouns and adjectives these days. If people keep saying "happy Christmas", which of course they will, how can it be "replaced"? People are so silly, paranoid and spineless.
British Christmas, is charming and beautiful. The one place in earth it is truly comforting.. No one dose festive like the British. Food , decorations singing .fantastic lee. Breakfast looks delicious ,the eggs perfact love a grilled tomato. 8/10
A video about Breakfast and I strangely couldn’t stop watching 😂😂😂 unusually entertaining 😂👍👍👍 The music from the Magic Roundabout took me right back 😊
Magic Roundabout was just legendary even though there were references to drugs and stuff. I also loved the Clangers, The Barpa Papas remember them, The Banana Splits, and The Double Deckers. The Christmas ads I remember fondly Woolworths and those awful Ronco products, I recall The Goodies in the ads among many others. Also ads for kids toys like action man and Hornby Railways of which I was a fan. Anyway the breakfast looked good, eggs slightly over done, black pudding and bacon exactly how I like it😉👌
Hi Lee. Great to see you back in the Lakes as we are off to Newby Bridge for a weekend next month. Will be visiting some of our, and your, favourite haunts, including Cartmel and Windermere so this is perfect taster. Just back from two weeks in Tenerife, wonderful weather with wall to wall sunshine, just missing a tall, bespectacled vlogger. Miss your triosover there. Still keep them coming from all your destinations.
Good Evening Lee. I really Loved and Enjoyed your Lovely video of your visit to this Beautiful village situated at the side of Lake Windermere. Bowness, lots of Gorgeous places to go and have a meal and perhaps a Lovely cool one to Quench your Thirst. The Magic Roundabout Cafe' and Restaurant. A very Lovely and Generous menu of Delicious Dishes to peruse through. Full English Breakfast, Fish & Chips, Steak, Sausages & Mash etc, etc. All of the Food item's would have been Sourced from the Local Farms. What a Stunning plate of Loveliness and very Well Presented. Sorry to say this, but once again, Horrible plate fillers!!. Toast should always be served seperately on a side plate, and the Baked Beans actually on the plate, Not in a Ramakin!!. The, Tomatoes should have been served on the Vine. It is a much Better and Fuller Tomato Taste. A very Lovely Latte to go with your Fine Fayre Lee i thought. Magic Roundabout, was one of my Favourite Children's Programns. Dougal, Zebedy, Ermin Trude was the Cow, Brian was the Rabbit, but i can not remember the young Girls name. I think that it was Produced in the 1970's. Apparently, so i was told that, it was all Based on Drugs of that Era??. I am not sure thou. The old Christmas Adverts were the Best. We all need some Nostalgia in out Lives these days. Thank you very much Lee, for Sharing your video and putting a Smile on my Face again. Jonathan/ Peterborough.
Hi Lee love your vlogs. Especially the English breakfast it looked delicious and the scenery is beautiful In the Lake District. Have a great evening too ❤️
What an amazing place, a one to visit next time I'm in England.....Magic roundabout what a classic show, don't forget Dougal....Ran home from school to catch a bit of Danger Mouse, SuperTed...Saturday mornings with Scooby Doo, Captain Caveman and Inch High Private Eye.....oh how I miss the 70/80's...
I am enjoying your Lake District vlogs more and more as the months go by. Can see the obvious sentiment the area means to you and growing up. Nice Lee, really nice, keeping the memories alive.
Breakfast looked really good. Hp sauce is always good extra in a bottle. Surprised, you are referring to winter lots when it's autumn as you're normally spot on. December 21st is the start of the 3 months of winter. Love your videos, especially your UK and Spanish content.
Cracking breakfast, Lee. As you may know, The Magic Roundabout was of French origin, dubbed in English for us. Another great French one was "The Flashing Blade." Also: Catweasel (actor Geoffrey Baildon who later went on to be the Governor of Slade prison in "Porridge"). Scooby Doo, Josie & The Pussycats, The Hair Bear Bunch ("Ooh Ooh Mr Peevly," ....."Botch!" - great American actor Joe E. Ross, who voiced Botch and also voiced Sergeant Flint in Hong Kong Phooey). 😊
That breakfast looked delicious Lee but I prefer tinned tomatoes too, I love seeing the places your mum and dad took you to sounds like you had a lovely childhood pal 👍🏼
I remember the Ronco adverts that sold crap that was obviously for relatives you hadn't a clue what to buy them for Christmas presents that would get used once, or broke, (whichever happened first), then got shoved into the back of a kitchen cupboard, never to be seen again. Kids shows? Johnny Ball and Think Of A Number, was one of my favourites. Jackanory, Magpie, The Tomorrow People, Rhubarb and Custard, Henry's Cat, Willo The Whisp, Vision On, Captain Pugwash.. the list goes on and on and on...

Christmas Tele Addicts , Battle Of the Planets , The sentinels , Hair bear Bunch , Captain caveman . My list is endless on the childhood memories 🥰🥰
Thank you for the trip to America it was fascinating as I have never been there and probably will not ever go there . Loving the childhood reminiscing 😂 I recall them all especially hong kong fuey 😊 .
Yep, unofficially dubbed “The War on Christmas”. I did have relatives who worked in retail as cashiers and such, and many were ordered not to say ‘Merry Christmas’, replaced with ‘Happy Holidays’ back in the early ‘00s’. Fortunately, it received so much bad press, that many stores reversed these policies. But it was the beginning of Woke, Cancel Culture being born.
The majic roundabout, one of the best programmes from my childhood. Zebedee/dougal the dog/florence, remember the snail but not his name. We went to the Lakes for Christmas one year when i was a child, im 53 now so qùite a few years...bagpuss was one of my favourite tv shows. Toys i can think of tiny tears/ spirigraph/ weebles. Hiya Lee. I am with Sarah. Winter. Fewer people. Works for me. I loved Woolworths for the pic and mix. Mousetrap. The bread was hiding the eggs. LOL. They were a little over but they still looked good. The black pudding was huge. Nice size breakfast. It looked pretty good to me. Those Geece freak me out. They always chase me. LOL. Cost of living. Vine tomatoes are more expensive. Maybe?. Have a great evening.
Nice one. Lee the Tv add i liked as a kid was the Evel Knievel add I always wanted one but I ended up with Snide one off the market it never worked right did not see owt magic in that brekkie 🤣🤣have a top week Lee 🙂👍🇬🇧✌️
In America, in my youth (very, very close to your days Lee, I'm only slightly older than you) at Christmas it was Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer stop animation show with Burl Ives and A Charlie Brown Christmas. On Christmas eve, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was always featured, not sure why. Rudolph and Charlie Brown are still a tradition today, but they were brand new back in the day (late '60's thru the '70's).
Scooby-Doo same story for 50 years and still one of the best. Tom and Jerry uncut versions. Whats this Country come to. When a Cat, Mouse and Dog cannot Bash each other.
Who could forget Ermyntrude the Cow, Brian the Snail, Dylan the Rabbit, Mr. Rusty and Zebedee🤣 Cripes; I shouldn't remember them, as I was far too old in the first place😲
Your breakfast looked delicious except for the black circular thing on the plate. I was there in October and it was slammed with people. Would like to go back again. Waiting for your next travel adventure. Keep safe.
Magic Roundabout characters include, Ermintrude the cow, Florence, Brian a snail, Dylan and Mr Rusty that's about all I can remember other than Dougal and Zebedee
Captain Pugwash, with Master Bates, Seaman Staines. On Magic Roundabout. Dougal, Brian and Dylan were high on LSD, with Zebadee suggesting bedtime., boing. 1960s BBC.
That looks like a very good breakfast, Lee. The portion was generous. Mind you, the price merits some generosity of quantity and quality. Everything seems nicely cooked and the portion of black pudding was generous, yummy. I did think they could’ve carried through the magic roundabout, theme to the tables though. Oh, forgot about the sausages. I didn’t see any herbs in it. I get Cumberland sausages over here in Australia but they don’t seem to put enough herbs in either. Still, what can I expect on the FAAAR side of the world?
Lee was you tripping like Dylan and Dougal. The magic roundabout was fantastic and I completely didn't get the undertone to the stories until I was much older

Being from New England states in US, now living in UK, Autumn is used in the states, may depend on what state your from, since every state is different
Bangin looking breakfast I must say. You wouldn’t get that over here in Ireland. Mind you you wouldn’t get robbed either. £18.60 for that! It would cost about €12.00 over here. Not as much bacon though. Mr Ben. The Clangers. Swop shop. The Wombels of Wimbledon. Blue Peter. Magpie. The banana bunch. Ah Jaysis those were the days my friend. 👍
I find this channel amusing. Mainly because when I glance at the comments, I feel such a sense of social superiority it confirms my standing. In a limited but sublime manner.
Yeah, but little people are only amusing for about 40 seconds. Then they become annoying.
Another character in the Magic Roundabout was Mr McHenry.Enjoyed the video Lee.The magic is that you didn't have a heart attack after all that!
Unfortunately the word 'Christmas' is being erased by the word 'festive" happy memories when I was a child, I agree.
Not in my book it ain't!! It will be Christmas until I leave this world!!

Both words are different, christmas is the event and the word festive describes things that are connected to christmas. Its simple to understand

The Singing Ringing Tree. That was something else, scary but fascinating.
We love the Lakes in late November, cold, wet, scenic and wonderful.
Probably less chance of being poked in the face by a stray selfish stick as well 😂
