You are right, Bill!!!! Freeze dried food is great to keep in the pantry as opposed to buying seldom-used items fresh and having them get old in the refrigerator or counter..(scallions, peppers, tomatoes etc). Thank you so much, Elizabeth and Bill, for this video!!!! Be well ❤️🩹 !
Looks delicious! Hope Elizabeth’s sleep study went well. I like the fall sweater - looks comfortable. I keep Thrive Life for emergencies. Each time I think I am going to need them, I haven’t had to use them. I will check out the sales.
Thank you for your instructional videos. It really takes the apprehension out of cooking with it and shows how much time is saved rather than spent on meal prep! You’re saying the blessing over your meal is a blessing to your viewers!! 🙏👏🏻😀
Thrive is so good to have on hand. I have enough for emergencies and always keep some in my kitchen pantry to cook with on a regular basis! Your recipes and instructional videos have really helped me get creative in the kitchen. Thank you!!
Wow, nice! I bought the Powdered Milk and Ground Beef. Perfect. I need to buy Mushroom, Cheese, Onions! Sounds great. This Recipe looks very good! Thanks!
This recipe reminded me of the "Impossible pie" recipes that used to be printed on the Bisquick box. Not gluten free, since Bisquick was one of the ingredients, but they turned out similar to quiches and were easy to make. For some of your videos, I don't want just smellovisuon, but tasteavision, too. 😊
Thank you, Elizabeth! I will order the ingredients. I like the spinach tortillas. I do the free shipping every month. I dehydrate most of my garden, too.
I am slow starting and reading all the material because I am a teacher and that takes up a lot of my time. BUT the eggs are awesome I am going to try that quiche pizza and with the spinach gluten free tortillas. I can’t wait to try the sausage, potatoes , onion and peppers jack cheese.
That looks like my next lunch meal.... Tomorrow. Learning curve: when refreshing peas use cold/room temp water and they soften. Hot water makes them hard and chewy.😂 and that's how we ate them for a year!
Bill & Elizabeth, i know this is an older video, but i wanted to drop by and thank you for posting it and ones like it. Life has come at us hard these past weeks, and I've been having a time, just keeping up. In the past, when I've been overwhelmed, we've relied on delivery and takeout, but we lived in the city, and had lots of options; now i live in rural Florida, and my options are limited to crappy pizza and mediocre Chinese. Having a well organized, and well conceived (not just well stocked) pantry has made it so much easier to eat proper meals. I saw this quiche recipe in the monthly flier, but probably wouldn't have made it, had i not watched your lovely video. I'm so glad i did, and I'm so glad i made it last night! Another instance of Permanently Skeptical Hubby remarking how it "doesn't taste like End Times Food!" Anyway, i just wanted to thank you for the inspiration, and wish you a very happy and peaceful Thanksgiving. ❤
I had one but one side broke and I went back to the old all metal egg whipper mixer. They aren't fancy but get the job done when you don't want to get out an electric mixer. I like them way better than whisks. Whisks take strong hands or wrists.
Looking forward to making this! Those onions are fabulous! - Well, it all is, lol - and so handy - no 20 mile trip to town, no delivery charges when I take a notion for something - just a trip to my pantry. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for cooking this up for us! Elizabeth, I *completely* agree with you about chopping onions, etc; that was always something I disliked doing (o, the tears!), and with recent vision issues and no depth perception, I run a real risk of injuring myself. The Thrive Life veggies make it so much easier and safer in the kitchen. Thanks again for the cooking demo, and stay well 🙏🏼❤️
Ms. Elizabeth I bet your give the best hugs 🤗. I'm pulling the trigger and ordering. what would you recommend for first time FD buyer? Individual pantry cans or the chef meal packs? My dietary needs to keep my pain at bay is mainly single ingredient and ancestral ( meats and eggs with a smidge of veggies) I get such joy from watching you both. Mr.Bill and his construction... The cooking. You're travels and studying. OH and you're voice Ms. Elizabeth so calming.
Where do I start? This is a common question. Here’s what I recommend. Start with Pantry cans rather than Family cans. They are smaller, and thus cost less. (Family cans are one gallon, Pantry cans are one quart.) It will give you the opportunity to try a greater variety of different things with less overall cost. Start with a few items that you use all the time in your cooking. (For Elizabeth, that was onions, peppers, and mushrooms). You don’t have to cook a meal from 100% Thrive Life ingredients. Just start to incorporate a few of your favorite FD items into your meals. Once you are using those freeze dried items, you can start to expand into other items that you like, whether that be veggies, or meat, or fruit (for smoothies). Another GREAT place to start is with a Chef Pack. (Found under Shop>Variety Packs on the website.) This is a box that includes 9 pantry cans (or 8 pantry cans and a spice can). And it includes 6 or 7 recipes that will show you EXACTLY how to use the items that come in the pack. There are 3 packs to choose from: Southwest Chicken, Ground Beef, or Pulled Pork. If you get one pack per month for 3 months, you will have a complete “culinary tour” (with instructions) of what cooking with Thrive Life is all about. I hope that was helpful.
Got my soup fixings ( beef, corn, green beans, tomato powder, onion coming my way. my child will be receiving vacuum sealed portions similar to mreS) My breakfast scramble (potato, eggs. Sausage, cheese, onions. Peppers, green chilies...out of stock for diced tomatoes)
I'm planning for next month already lol I've been wanting to get into FD food for some time. I enjoy watching the recipes you put out and decided why not. It's just me and my husband so starting off small.
Elizabeth is the one who sold me on Thrive Life with her allergies and health needs. I have issues too. I make a crustless quiche with an oiled pie pan add flax seed meal all around onto the oil, gently add your egg and milk mixture or add veggies and or meat (already cooked meat, like ca ned meat or fish) then pour the eggmix ontop. Needs 3 whole eggs and 12 oz of milk of your choice. It's good with cow, hemp or soy milk, goat milk might work too. 350 fer oven Bout 40 to45 min.
'Quiche pizza' Hmm ... That's a tough one to swallow, but I'm willing to be persuaded.😊Last week, I made lasagna replacing the pasta noodles with matza. Who would have 'knowed'? I'm with Elizabeth, I'm not precise with every ingredient either. Just give me good food 🍽 🎉
@@wendyburston3132 The cauliflower could be rehydrated, I guess. But, even better, the freeze-dried florets could be crushed up and used. A little extra liquid would be needed. 😊
I have not purchased Thrive yet, but I am truly considering it, with buying produce in Canada at off season, by the time the produce gets into our stores, they are getting old and the nutrients are not as strong, if we don’t use them as soon as we buy them they are starting to spoil.
You are so right about fresh produce in the winter! That's one of the strengths of Thrive Life. It doesn't spoil or lose any of its nutrition. And you can save a lot of money by ELIMINATING all of that spoilage and waste.
You're stressed Elizabeth, don't panic, there's time to do what you need to do. I do so much better when I take my time. You don't need to hurry, hurry causes accidents and slows us down even more. Ask me how I know. 😊
Elizabeth that looked great Do you and bill eat all your food from thrive life or just certain things? With this how much does that cut down on your weekly grocery bill? You had a sleep study? Hole that went well
We use practically all of Thrive Life products. And we use Thrive in about 50-60% of our daily cooking. Some meals are all Thrive, some are all fresh. Most are a good mixture of fresh and freeze-dried. For instance, fresh steak or roast with freeze dried potatoes and veggies. As far as cost, we DO save money. But I can't tell you how much because we've been using Thrive for over 10 years. Which means that it's been over 10 years since we bought ALL of our groceries from the grocery store. Here is a video of a woman who did document how much she is saving be using Thrive Life. ruclips.net/video/rVQK4d0fXv8/видео.html
Looks so good and I have everything (for a change)! I wonder if cutting tortillas in half, so they don't over lap so heavily in the middle, could work. Place one or one cut into a smaller circle in the center of the plate? I may try it both ways.
The quiche looks so delicious. With it being a Pizza Quiche, I was curious as to why there was no sausage, ground beef or pepperoni. I like those hand mixers too. My mom has had one for many years. Blessings to you both.
Well, we just followed the recipe as it was written. But you can add whatever meats you want! And there are many vegetarian pizzas without meat. Personally, I (Bill) can't stand pepperoni! If I was to add meat to this dish it would probably be ham or bacon.
Ooo, that quiche pizza looked yummy. 🤗 👏🏻 Thanks for inviting us to your table... and I appreciate saying 'grace' along with yall. Glad for my visit. Those vegies looked fresh, I just don't like subscribing to food deliveries... it's just me here, that would be way too much food for me on a monthly basis. 🤔 Lord bless, be safe, peace abound. ✝️💟🙏🏻 💐💐💐 for Elizabeth.
Here's the cool thing about the Thrive Life Monthly Delivery Service. You can completely customize it! You can skip several months if you want, and you can cancel at any time. So if you want to order every other month, or every third month, you can do that. Just save $30 per month towards your order and then order once every 3 months. 😊 And by joining Delivery, you will save 27% on your Thrive Life orders! You automatically save 15% on all prices on the website, and then you get free shipping on every order over $99. Shipping is usually 12%. So that's a total of 27%. And as a member of the Delivery Service, you will have access to the Monthly Specials, which feature sales up to 35% off every month. It's the best and cheapest way to purchase Thrive Life products.
