- Pink Floyd - Division Bell (1994) REACTION - to one of the most beautiful song for me .
David Gilmour such a unique magician - it's not just music - it's a cosmical unreal songs - one of the most awesome solos.... live in Gdansk (2006)
Lyrics.
Beyond the horizon of the place we lived when we were young
In a world of magnets and miracles
Our thoughts strayed constantly and without boundary
The ringing of the division bell had begun
Along the Long Road and on down the Causeway
Do they still meet there by the Cut
There was a ragged band that followed in our footsteps
Running before times took our dreams away
Leaving the myriad small creatures trying to tie us to the ground
To a life consumed by slow decay
The grass was greener
The light was brighter
When friends surrounded
The nights of wonder
Looking beyond the embers of bridges glowing behind us
To a glimpse of how green it was on the other side
Steps taken forwards but sleepwalking back again
Dragged by the force of some inner tide
At a higher altitude with flag unfurled
We reached the dizzy heights of that dreamed of world
Encumbered forever by desire and ambition
There's a hunger still unsatisfied
Our weary eyes still stray to the horizon
Though down this road we've been so many times
The grass was greener
The light was brighter
The taste was sweeter
The nights of wonder
With friends surrounded
The dawn mist glowing
The water flowing
The endless river
Forever and ever

Thumbs up to anyone who can get emotional to pink Floyd. Loved your voice as well.
Jonathan Bell thank you so much!
I didn't hear a thing :)
"He is not a musician, he is a magician" thats pretty accurate!
Finally, someone who listens to and feels the music, without trying to analyze what it all means. The only thing that matters are your genuine emotions. Thank you for your great reaction and for introducing me to a new and beautiful version of this song.
You get it, David Gilmour is evocative and emotional in his playing and singing, a gift from God and an epic legend.
I was born in 1951.
Listened to Pink Floyd during the sixties and seventies
Being almost 70, i still get goosebumbs listening to this song.
a wizard never walks without his staff....David Gilmour must have his guitar.
Being a huge fan of Pink Floyd and David Gilmour's solo work, I was involved in a car accident many years ago that left me in a coma...my best friend who is also a huge David Gilmour & Pink Floyd fan had the nurses place a set of headphones on me in hopes I would return from wherever I was. I came out of my coma listening to their 1994 Pulse concert. So yes, music is very powerful and David Gilmour is magical indeed!
A beautiful reaction from a beautiful soul…..
Excellent!!! I love Pink Floyd! My dad raised me on Pink Floyd, every day he would wake me up to one of their albums blasting through the house. I can remember many long deep conversations about their music and meanings behind it. My dad passed away October 2019 and now there's a hole in my life. I thank you for this video, it helps a little to ease the pain. Thank you.
PS You seriously have a beautiful voice.
"I have so many rainbows of emotions, I cant explain"...you got it, river of tears came up while watching this, tyvm soul mate... Gilmour doesnt only knows the notes of soul, he plays them in a connective way that you feel that there is more then misery, high hopes literally combines all his playing... through the pain of life, the struggle within, when you think it cannot be darker like in comfortably numb there is allways beauty inside and through his guitar sound waves and timings you feel rainbows and find the light channel of hope to come back to life: high hopes!
This has always been one of my favorite songs by Pink Floyd and the orchestra strings compliment it so beautifully David Gilmour is so talented as a guitarist & singer this reaches me deep in my feels 🎶☮💜 a masterpiece for sure as YOU say😍
No enormous vocabulary necessary, it's Pink Floyd, it's art and it is absolutely beautiful...
If there's a thing that deserves to be called greatness it would be PINK FLOYD 🌈
Agreeeeeeee
I can so see that you're overwhelmed. High Hopes does that to people. It did it to me from the first hearing
I had this played at my mothers funeral. We both loved it. ♥️
The song is about getting older and looking back at easier times in our lives. I am 74 so this song has added meaning.
Don't worry. We all cry when we hear Pink Floyd.
This is one of my favourite songs ever. Probably part of the lyrics will be my next tattoo.
Marco C. Mine too! Thank youuuuu
We are blessed to have the best in our lives
You're not the only person who gets emotional when Gilmour puts down the acoustic and sits down at the slide guitar.
Throwback Julia is so beautiful to experience. Love YOU !
David Gilmour Forever!
It is really a piece of art. So emotional song played by awsome musicians. Makes me cry ervery time
His beautiful guitar playing reminds me of your beautiful soul, they go hand in hand. They have and always be my favorite musician's. God Bless
Without a question my all time favorite guitarist
I love Pink Floyd! My favourite song 🎶

I love your reaction pure gold
best band of all times .. 👍😎 when you go to sleep . listen Pink Floyd - Marooned .. song without words .. they win a Grammy's for this music .. 👍😎
Gerry Weed There’s an hour long version of Marooned here on YT...I listen to it every night when I go to sleep.
Divine musician... I love him!!!
Brilliant reaction, voice and understanding! Best I've seen! Your depth is beyond you days!
💜😍Still Loving YOU!
I work as a lighting technician for a manufacturer and was able to meet David a few times. Especially in preparation for a show or tour. I have never met a person more liberty, friendlier, more polite than him. He takes care of everyone during a tour, whether driver, helper or musician. He is not only the perfect and most brilliant musician, he is also a person to look up to and inspire in every area. If someone had a problem, whatever, he set heaven and hell in motion so that it could be resolved. And that's how he lives. Should he leave this world, she will lose one of the greatest people ever.
Role model! Very nice and interesting story , thank you for sharing. He is really unique 🪐
The song is about growing up in Cambridge, where both he and former Pink Floyd members Bob Klose, Roger Waters and Syd Barrett are from. Also Storm Torgerson who made all the artwork ekcept The Wall and The Final Cut. The lyrics is written by Gilmour's wife Polly Samson, who's a writer. Don't think Waters is thinking about this at all, as it's from almost a decade after i quit the band.
Props to the guy ringing the bell, he has incredible timing
" I am so glad to be alive when you're alive." That was so sweet! You got me, girl.
There can be only one....and God said....let it be David Gilmour. You defenitely get the Floyd!! Thank you!!
The song is about a person’s journey through life from childhood to death. Victories, defeats, happiness, sadness, bitterness, etc. Remembering how he dreamed as a child of how the world would be but things do not always turn out as one imagines. Enjoy the journey of life beautiful lady!🌹🎸👑
This is music from another world.I love Pink Floyd so much.
Best reaction I have ever seen, because you genuinely felt the true emotional depth of this incredible music. You have to be truly and fully alive to get it. Your comments and singing are as beautiful as the music. You connected emotionally on a higher level than anyone else I have seen. Truly beautiful.
Thank you very much, it means a lot to me❤️
My favorite Gilmore song ,best version and a lovely reaction from a fellow human music lover.that's now I reacted when I first heard this. Thank you, forgiving me that feeling again.
Beautiful 🤩
YOU is so beautiful too as well as this Pink Floyd masterpiece ✌🏻🇳🇱
I YOU .. I love when you sing a little bit of harmony along with the song.
You have a lovely voice and you have a very good ear for music!
Rest in Peace Richard Wright. The piano and keyboard-synthesizer player for Pink Floyd..
What a beautifull voice you have ... greetings and thank u
He doesn't plug his guitar into an amplifier, he plugs it into his SOUL!!!!!!!!!
Thanx
Master ... master ....Piece
the sweetes reaction ever ;)
Thank you! But by statistic clearly see that for some reason vast majority viewers don’t care about PINK FLOYD; how it could happened)!
So moving on another level that is the artistry of david gilmour and creativity that is pink floyd to feel it on an emotional level is a privilege to share that emotion with others freely which is clearly what you have done is our privilege thankyou Xx
Pulse perfected their song sounds, a last chance to present it to us perfectly
Take a bow young lady for your beautiful voice and your tears for your reaction to this video. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
No ordinary lyrics, no ordinary words, no musical arrangement. Nothing, really nothing, my friend, is ordinary in this music...
I Love YOU Yuliyaa so much it warms my soul !💜☔ 🔥
The best version live of high hopes. So emotional.
Definitely the best🥦
Yeah have listened to this song so many times and couldn’t think this song could get any better but with her harmonizing with them is amazing 🤘
🧸🧸🧸
Totally wonderful reaction.
You have a beautiful singing voice! Love your reaction, sooo emotional! You need to do more Pink Floyd.
Yoh need to see High Hops with David Gilmour in Pompeii 2016!!
Your vocabulary is just fine YOU express your emotions perfectly 💜
I cried the first time I listened to this. It's one of my favorite Pink floyd albums. Try Marooned from the Division Bell. I'm not sure if there is a live version, but the studio version is truly a master piece.
Yes, there is a live version of MAROONED. and it is AWESOME ! Get ready for some serious goosebumps. David makes his Stratocaster sing like a Stradivarious! He stole the show from this all star line up of other guitarists celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Stratocaster. Enjoy. ruclips.net/video/J4kgBpgoQaU/видео.html

I cry me a lot in this song too
Beautiful reaction to my favourite song ever made. Greets from germany and welcome...to your senses. TOP
all time favorite pink floyd song. glad you gave it a listen, and glad to see you enjoyed it. whoever recommended it is a G.
Don’t know anyone else this song has done this to, love you
Genius will always touch the soul and make you appreciate talent!!! Nice reaction!
Hello Beautiful Woman. Yes David IS a musical magician! One of the best (in my humble opinion top 5 guitarists in the world.) I loved how you added your beautiful perfect voice to the music to an already perfect song. If you want more, might I suggest "Echoes" from the same concert Live in Gdansk 2006. It was originally a Pink Floyd song from 1971. It is a pure unadulterated blissful Music, especially towards the end where he and fellow Pink Floyd member Rick Wright go back and forth sweetly conversing musically to each other.
Sonnet 18 David Gilmour sings this song net with no guitar only on the mic
Correct, this was a David Gilmour solo tour. He of course plays Floyd songs. This was Richard's final performance before he died.
I worked on this tour in 1994. Division Bell Tour / 600 people to build the stage !
Feels like reading a love poem by Yeats or Shelley. Bittersweet, melancholic and soothingly dark.
I had this played at my mothers funeral. We both loved it. Epic ♥️
Beautiful version of this magic masterpiece, and beautiful reaction. Greetings ❤️
Great too see people from my generation being hooked on Pink Floyd ❤️👌
The slide guitar brings me to tears. So much emotions in those notes. Incredible live
This version is actually better than the pulse concert, because of the accoustic guitar solo in the end. Incredible, how he conveys the emotions and the feel. I like your reaction. I also had to cry when watching this...
Seriously, what an incredible voice you have! I loved! Please react to David Gilmour - Echoes (live in Gdansk). This is for me one of the best live performances of all time, especially at the end, when Gilmour talks to Richard through his instruments.
Agree! One of the best concert, something special there
I like seeing reactions to this song and yours was lovely...❤ They're mostly all from Cambridge UK where I live. the official video is filmed very very close to my home
I appeared on this channel by your first Metallica reaction and I'm glad I've stayed here.
Love your reactions. I've got also some facts about this concert in Gdańsk:
It was called "Przestrzeń wolności" (which means "Space of freedom") and it took place in the area of Gdansk Shipyard on the occasion of the celebration of the 26th anniversary of the Solidarity movement.
David performed together with Polish Baltic Philharmonic orchestra. Very beautiful concert.
Waiting for other Metallica and Pink Floyd reactions :D (maybe you'll try some Polish bands??)
Anyway, love from Poland ^^
(btw, you've got very beautiful voice... especially that moment when you were singing)
Great song, and i like your voice!
Please make a video from this song, where you singing in the background the second voice (from begining to the end).
What a beautiful reaction to a beautiful song- and it was lovely to hear you harmonising, thank you!
Great choice, great reaction, please continue reacting ti pink floyd songs
The beginning of this song is about the rise off the band they had no boundaries. The line ( the ringing of the Division Bell has begun. David is saying it's the beginning of the end of Pink floyd. The grass was greener, the light was brighter, with friends around us. The night's of wonder. Also we reached the dizzying heights of that dreamed of world. They reached fame and stardom. They reached the pinnacle of their career, at that point they began the process of what we see today. Sad but true. Excellent song about a bands start and ultimately what we see now as their career slowly becomes to the last page of Pink Floyds journey.
Try David Gilmore's "Coming back to life" Live in Pompeii 2016.
Of course! Thank you 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Such a splendid reaction! You have such a lovely voice. And thank you for baring your beautiful soul to us. I had to watch this one twice. Take care, sweet lady. 🤗🌷💖
there's only one song that he sings without a guitar, in part, and that's 'A Boat Lies Waiting'. it's a truly beautiful song; a tribute to his friend and past band member, Richard wright. he begins by playing the steal guitar. then he stands up and sings without any guitar. check out the 'live at Pompeii, 2016 version. you'll love it
I literally can't bear to listen to that song. My dad died the day that album came out and I spent the night listening to it and thinking about my father. That one song just cuts to the core. If I listen to it, I need to make sure I'm alone for a while as it'll take me a while to recover.
@@jimo7593 my sympathy
I was literally telling my friend how David just comes out in a black t-shirt . It is so endearing to see the man just be confident in his talent . He is a master & this is one of his great works
Great song choice! Love Pink Floyd... Seen Roger Waters in May 2018 in my country (Portugal) 🙂
Great reaction by the way 😂
Been searching for a reaction for someone who feels this as strongly as I do and I found it. Time really isn't on our side, let's not waste it. Much love.
Can you imagine sitting front row or anywhere else for this concert? I saw the Wall by Roger many years ago and it was great but this.... well...
Waters said in an interview "the was pure rubbish from start to end."
I think the is a wonderful piece of work!!!!!!
About what exactly he said that?
Roger Waters, who left Pink Floyd in the 80s, dismissed The Division Bell as "Just rubbish ... nonsense from beginning to end."
He said that because he was in conflict with the group,... for him "Pink Floyd is nothing without him"..BUT that was in the 90's....now he's on good terms with David Gilmour and Nick Mason
@@maxgallagher2535 not really...they coexist but cant really stand each other.
Max Gallagher No, he’s not on good terms with them at all. There’s a YT video from about a week ago or so where Roger rants about PF...
There is no Gilmor's live performs without guitar...
Awesome Reaction...I love the ad lib harmonies, I do this myself all the time, just not nearly as beautifully.
Como tú, siempre me caen las lágrimas cuando escucho este tema. Sus solos son mágicos. Time, Confortably Numb, Echoes, Dogs, Hey You, Mother, On the Turning Away, todos ellos son de otro mundo
Was always drawn to this song if I ever went to a bar/restaurant that had digital CD Jukebox I conscious would play this song every time it speaks to me on a deep level🌎 💜
That's the beauty of this music your tears are beautiful
Wow you have a beautiful voice to.
I would suggest watching David Gilmour Marooned Live 2004, it will blow your mind away! :)
it's perfect for meditation too, love this song, well, all Division Bell is pretty good
From Gdańsk 2006 I was there 🙂
That was such a beautiful reaction, and the way you sang was so beautiful. No disrespect to your lucky husband!!
Thank you , so nice! My pleasure 😇
thank you, was very nice
He plays the tenor saxophone 🎷 royal Albert Hall 2006
Wow that is truly the most beautiful reaction I have ever seen!!!
