Really fun to watch a younger generation experiencing Pink Floyd for the first time. What really gives me hope is seeing how many are profoundly affected by the music, like an awakening somewhere deep inside judging from the expressions on their faces.

Great reaction. I seen them live 2 times back in the 70's, some of the most talented people ever. The bands back then were so creative, with raw talent. I have trouble getting into the current music, I was spoiled I think. Stuck in a time warp. lol

An interesting bit : Chuck Berry had a concert in London that went so well, the stadium/theater almost had to cancel the Pink Floyd concert scheduled for later that evening. They had to get the crowd from Berry's concert out before they could get the PF fans in. So yes, Pink Floyd has been around a very long time if their paths crossed with Chuck Berry...lol.

Been following PinkFloyd to close to 50 years. Absolutely in a class of their own. Suggest you listen to Echoes, live from Pompeii but with no audience. Something totally different and just the original four members e except for Sid Barret.

I think the best version of this song is the David Gilmour 2006 Royal Albert Hall version. You can really see the difference from 5:00 on! The gentle acoustics at the end! Love your reactions!

That would be "BEAR with me", although baring with you could be interesting, too! "High Hopes", one of Floyd's best songs, IMO. The lyrics describe the amazement and wonder of our youth, which gradually fades away as we get older.

Don't forget to do Great Gig in the Sky after Time as they were meant to be listened to together. Actually, the whole album was meant that way but especially Time and GG.
Seeing a Pink Floyd show was more of an event than just a concert. It was a smorgasbord of the senses.
It will be difficult, but I have High Hopes that the next generation will provide some new, thought provoking and well played music. With everything going the way it is, music needs to get better and smarter, so that people get better and smarter. The more the record companies purposefully dumb down music, the dumber people seem to get.
Watch Great Gig In The Sky from the same concert. It's the best song ever sung without any lyrics whatsoever. Now if you want to see the best solo ever, which also happens to be from this concert, check out Comfortably Numb. You will emotional seeing it for the first time.
You owe it to yourself to watch/listen to the performance of this song David Gilmour did (with Richard Wright, the keyboardist) in Gdańsk, Poland. There was a live orchestra with them. Wonderful!
The special thing about this song was that this was the last Pink Floyd song on the studio album The Division Bell with the keyboardist Richard Wright.
After Richard's passing eight years later in 2008 David Gilmour (guitar/lead vocals) and drummer Nick Mason had uncovered some unfinished tracks from that same recording session, finished the songs and released it in 2014 as a tribute with the album title "The Endless River", the last phrase David sang in this song (high hopes) before jumping onto the Steel Pedal Slide Guitar for that solo.
Fitting as High Hopes is about reminiscing ones life.

Pink Floyd is my favorite band and Dimash Kudaibergen is my favorite solo vocalist .You should check him out also. Dimash is widely considered the greatest technical vocalist in the world. He has a 7 octave range and is a master of classical and contemporary music. Peace and love from Pennsylvania.
