    I personally have an opinion.
    Nadal is the GOAT for the simple reason of his tennis game. He might not be the guy with most GS (Federer is ahead) but he certainly has been dominant against all tour players for the last 13 years. The only H2H he is down to is Djokovic and just by 2 wins over Rafa. Also, you have to take into account whether people like it or not, Djokovic was far behind on H2H against Nadal, but Nadal had a pretty bad downfall in his game due to injuries and also mentally, so Djokovic took advantage and that's why he is ahead of Nadal only by 2 wins.
    Nadal as of to date (which can change, Djokovic is still down just by 1) is the Master of Masters 1000.
    His Tennis game alone, no titles, has been so overpowered against any player on tour and nobody can deny that. And maybe still when they retire, Nadal can finish on top of Djokovic on H2H, maybe.
    I'm not talking about consistency or titles, that would be Federer in any case. But Federer's tennis game although I love it because is classy and elegant, is not better than Nadal's tennis game at all.
    On top of all of this, he has rewritten history by owning this single GS which is RG. He is the King of Clay by a darn good reason.
    Some might disagree with my opinion but I believe it's there, is not something that can be denied. Nadal has been better than all top tennis players of his era and yet being the King of Clay, he also mastered grass and hard courts. Something Djokovic and Federer haven't done in their careers, master clay like Nadal. Despite of them winning some clay tournaments including a RG title each. But Nadal has beaten them and dominated them on hard and grass courts throughout their careers, yet Federer and Djokovic haven't dominated Nadal on Clay throughout their careers.
    In the end its each individual's opinion and taste. For me, Nadal is GOAT without a question.

      I completely agree with your opinion, only the people who have been watching tennis for a long time can understand what you have shared in your comment.I suppose it is a great ideal from you, this is totally fair and exact but it's also the things which are mostly denied by Fed and Nole 's fans for sure

      Not to mention all the injuries that cost him GS opportunities. He could very easily have 23-24 by now and that’s not even close to an exaggeration. And his injuries are not a fault of his play style contrary to popular belief, but actually just because of a foot defect he was born with.

      +Anarkayy how are you gunna put Novak ahead of Rafa, that's premature, he doesn't even have a french open, and nadal hasn't been at the top of his hand this year and no wonder why he's beating him so badly, the head to head is 23-23, and Rafa has beaten him more times in grandslams, and pete doesn't have RG either, Rafa has a gold medal too, in his only Olympic event

    • @Anarkayy
      @Anarkayy 8 лет назад

      Joe I because he's a better tennis player than nadal. already has nadal beat at weeks at #1 because he has actually dominated the sport of tennis for a long time. rather than just winning 1 tournament.
      h2h will be in djokovics favor next time they play. nadals h2h carried by clay results & beating pre prime djoko.
      LOL olympics. who cares? they barely include tennis in it at all.
      sampras played before homogenized surfaces so winning on all was a lot harder. still he was the best player including all surfaces for a very long time unlike nadal.

    Never in the history of mens tennis has such a one as Rafael Nadal appeared,how I miss these glory days,when he was practically unbeatable.
    The crowds favorite.
    He was a joy to watch,so exiting and unpredictable, full of fire and energy, the mad bull from Majorca!
    I cant see him playing like that any more,unless he gets a new coach or two.
    Uncle Toni's done a good job ,but unless new fresh coaching is introduced Rafas dominance if over,he is one of the most physical endowed of all players,so it not lack of strength thats the problem, its technique.
    Thanks

      @ismahimibnal-khattab9644 9 лет назад +2

      Onmysheet the problem is Rafas h2h against djoko is very close! if djoko surpass Rafa in their h2h rivalry, then federer-fans will say, look Rafa has also a negative h2h against djoko! but i know it is not comparable because Rafa is leading federer by a big gap!

    • @TheBryanky
      @TheBryanky 9 лет назад +39

      Onmysheet That's only because Nadal can exploit Federer's only weakness. They're both the greatest players ever but Federer's better stats and the fact that he's world no.2 at 33 years of age puts him at an advantage for me.

    • @Onmysheet
      @Onmysheet 9 лет назад +2

      Bryan Kwong A lot of people go on about the age gap, but i still think Nadal would still lead the h2h record. Federer would have more wins than 10.

      h2h and carrer achivements are two very different things,nadal has better h2h but federer achivements are superior in number weeks number at 1, GS titles,WTF titles,number titles overall.

    Top moment of Roland Garros No.6 - Djokovic's fans talking like it was a foregone conclusion that he would lift the 2015 trophy, talking about him dishing out 'bagels' to people etc. Ironically the final 'bagel' of this tournament is the number of Roland Garros trophies Novak has lifted - 0

    It's impossible to pick ''the top 5 moments of Rafael Nadal at Roland Garros'', and it'd be difficult to pick a Top 10.
    I think that the 2010 Roland Garros has to be included because in that tournament Nadal came back to win after having lost in the previous year, and he did against the very same opponent that defeated him that previous year.
    I also think that the 2012 Roland Garros has to be included because in that tournament Nadal broke Borg's record for most Roland Garros titles won.
    And I think that the 2014 Roland Garros has to be included because it was his last victory in the tournament.
    It's hard to pick!!!!
