      At 36 years old you are still relatively young. If you don't age too fast and keep a good lifestyle you can still be near your best. The real decline is after 40 although you can still stay a good player.

    Imagine Novak playing against anyone now, and he's 25 years old. I think that it would be something unprecedented in tennis when he is playing like this at the age of 36. Brother, it's something really for great respect that he is fighting and that he is still number 1 in the world of tennis. Support for Novak

    • @patrikmarflak6559
      @patrikmarflak6559 Год назад +44

      Everyone is talking about his age like it’s a disadvantage, but it’s obviously not. With all his refined skills and experience I believe he is actually better player than he was 10 years ago. He is more effective, because he’s become more offensive while he can still defend like no one else. Over the years on tour he’s also clearly become a better server, definitely better at the net, mastered the strategy and tactics and mentally he is stronger than ever, no doubt about that, he proves it again and again in the pressure points. The only factor that could make him struggle against younger opponents is the physicality but there is no obvious regress just yet. So I have no idea why everyone thinks he was better than he is now. All this “prime” concept is strange to me because if a player is not struggling with injuries like the other greats of his generation were/are in his age, there is no reason to get worse. The young guys still have a lot to learn and experience before they get to his level in all aspects of the game. I think this 36 yo Novak would beat 25 yo Novak. If you disagree, tell me what was he better at without the 11 years of gradual improvement and all the experience he gained over these years.

      I really think people still don't understand what competition he had last 15-16 years, we are not talking only about Rafa and Roger, guys he had to beat to get to semis of a GS, Wawrinka, Murray and other guys. Believe me this new guys would have hard time to beat Tsonga, Roddick, Berdich, Ferrer, Delpo...

    • @patrikmarflak6559
      @patrikmarflak6559 Год назад +5

      @@nebojsaseletic2766 We will never know if Alcaraz, Sinner or Rune would regularly lose to the players you named and I am not going to argue about hypothetical match-ups. My point is that by playing all those different opponents and countless of tournaments and by constantly improving his game Djokovic has become so strong that it’s actually a really good sign for tennis that the players from the upcoming generation who have so little experience and still have so much to learn can cause him trouble and sometimes even beat him (unlike the previous generation where only Medvedev is a proper rival for him). All three are already in top 10 and they have become the most dangerous opponents for him in this era despite the fact he has more advantages over them than disadvantages.
      And you should remember when Djokovic was 20 he wasn’t beating Federer regularly and it took a few years before their h2h shifted his way. He was also losing to many other players who were not multiple grand slam winners. Nowadays no one is judging the young players in perspective. And everyone is like Djokovic at 36 can beat them so they are shit when in fact they are great and he is better than he ever was. The only question is how long will it last before they truly take over.

      He didn't smash Alcaraz, he won because of his unforced errors and benefitted from them. Novak's tennis is built on defense until he finds an open space for a passing shot or a sharp angle going cross court. It's actually quite boring to watch. It's just grinding. Novak has a strong mind i'll give you that, but nothing memorable. Sinner will wipe the floor with Novak in the final and it will keep happening from here on.

      To not be a fan of Carlos is crazy. He is humble and willing to learn. You don't become the youngest #1 in history by luck. He is a great player, just lacking the experience of the older greats. Novak will eventually decline and Carlos will only get better

    Este nivel yo,con mis 65 años,no lo había visto nunca.Partidos aislados si, pero tantos y tan numerosos súper partidos es excepcional.
    Djokovic manda,sin duda, pero...quien ocupará su "trono"?? Los aspirantes son un buen puñado de excelentes jugadores.
    Lo de Alcaraz es un bajón normal, debido a su juventud del que seguro aprenderá.
    Esto se pone muy,muy emocionante.Suerte para nosotros los aficionados.🎾❤

    Wow.. Alcaraz threw his racket after winning shot from djokovic. I think if Alcaraz want his career more greater than before, he needs to not only his physical limits, but also his daily routine before and 'after' every matches. He might gonna involves his outer gossips after year and year. We know Why many tennis players admire The big 3(sorry for andy goat murray). The legends still contend every newcomers.

    Everybody has to ask themselves this question; will either Carlos or BEN be able to play at this level at Jacky’s age when they can’t beat him yet at their age. I’m Not saying it’s embarrassing, I’m saying it takes more than youth and athletics.. It’s TIME & EXPERIENCE and they don’t take money or give out credit, you have to put in the years, you have to have the maturity of game. Sagacity is only bestfriends with time and good choices! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

    It’s matches like this that show alcaraz’s game is not as good as some of the other top players on hard courts. Grass will be his best surface as he hits a lot of line drive balls when he needs more angle and variation in speed here

    • @tricker14
      @tricker14 Год назад +1

      Alcaraz is pretty good on hard courts though, but on a slower hard court, such as US open, miami or indian wells.

    • @teasellermodi5897
      @teasellermodi5897 Год назад

      Then, how he won USO 2022? Tell me. 🤔

    • @Bird1502
      @Bird1502 Год назад

      Yeah I should have been more clear, he is obviously a top player on all surfaces, which means he can win any tournament on any surface. Even still…hardcourt is not his best surface relatively speaking because of his style of play. I expect his win % over his career will be better on grass and clay than it is on hard court. There are more hard court tournaments in general so he may still win more hard court tournaments, so I’m speaking more to his win percentage. If you look up his win percentage by surface today, he has a win percentage of 89% on grass, 82% on clay, and 72% on hard court. Compare that to djokovic who has a win percentage of 86 percent on grass, 85% on hard, and 80% on clay
