    I pressure cook potatoes in their skins then put them in the Air Fryer - spray with olive oil Sprinkle Pink Rock salt & fresh Cracked black Pepper on them & roast in air fryer until skins are golden brown = delicious and you get to eat the protein & vitamins & minerals that are stored in the layer right underneath the skin - if you peel potatoes all you are eating is the starch = white carbs - all,the REALLY nutritious stuff is thrown away!

      I gotta try this. 😊

    • @htmc2022
      @htmc2022 2 месяца назад +2

      @@Socialshug In mid afternoon I fill up the pressure cooker stainless steel inside pot - add salt - recommended water - boiled water - a cup or more - pressure cook potatoes for 14-18 minutes in Instant Pot depending upon their size & let the steam release naturally so they cook gently for some more time - then open lid - let them air dry off naturally - so they’re not too hot to handle when I put only enough potatoes for tonight’s dinner in the air fryer - the rest, when cooled enough go into lock-lidded glass containers with plastic lids into the fridge; ready for a few more suppers or to be sliced up & Air fried as home fries for breakfast. Put potatoes in Air fryer basket & Spray top of potatoes with olive oil - then sprinkle fresh cracked pink Rock salt & Fresh cracked black pepper on the top. When you flip them there is enough oil/salt/pepper on the silicon mat for us - but you may want to season 2nd side more. It takes about 25-30 minutes total to brown potatoes & crisp up the potato skin in Air Fryer - 15 minutes @ 375 or 390 on one side, 10-15 minutes on other side of potatoes depending upon size. I set temp for the meat, chicken or fish in the other basket & potatoes can “match cook” at any temp. You can adjust the time & temperature to how brown/crispy/dry or moist you like your potatoes. When making more for subsequent dinners I just oil salt & pepper potatoes from fridge the same way. So nice to have par-steamed potatoes waiting in the fridge to make a quick supper! Sometimes I cut potatoes into wedges to brown - spray with enough Olive oil - salt & pepper - hubby likes them best that way! Might take a bit longer to brown the potato’s white flesh. Play with it!

    • @htmc2022
      @htmc2022 Месяц назад

      @@licksnkicks1166 You’ll love these because the Rock Salt & Black Pepper are ground coarsely & they stick to the Olive Oil on the potato skin which gets nice & crispy! Hubby just today bought me an 11 Quart Ninja Air Fryer so now I can Air Fry more potatoes at one time!

      Yes, very popular in the Great Plains of the United States with many old world German families. Although these buns are a little different than how my family makes them, but every family has their own recipe! This makes me want to try it and to fry it in my air fryer to taste the difference. Yum!

    Даже незнаю, что Вы готовите. Думаю, что всё таки что - то очень вкусное. Я просто смотрю всё подряд без названия. Уже сама начинаю понимать - что Вы делаете ? Потом, чуть позже, куплю продукты и всё сама также сделаю.Я давно уже сама дома пеку и готовлю. И поэтому, хоть какое то понимание того, что Вы делаете имею.. Сына моего зовут Артур. Он тоже любит все " эти дела ". А второй сын у меня вообще Кулинар. Дома постоянно готовит нам. Ну конечно же лёгкие закуски. Сложные не делает. Кстати, я пишу из Краснодара. Старшему сыну моему 25 лет, а второму 20 ( Робертом зовётся ) Сами мы армяне и очень любим Кухню. А главное - Любую Кухню

    My mother used to cook something very similar to the first recipe. She called them Potato Bread Dumplings. I do not know where she learned the recipe. She was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1923, and educated in Gaelic speaking schools and colleges where, as well as English and Gaelic, she also learned Latin, Spanish, French and later some Portuguese. Because of her language abilities she was hired by the United Nations as an instructor and as such, lived all over the world and cooked many varied dishes accordingly. We, unfortunately, never were able to record all of these recipes and as she cooked, almost entirely, just from memory, she didn't really have any written record either. This is the closest thing to her lovely Potato Bread Dumplings that I have found. I am so happy to find this recipe and to be able to recreate a favorite of my chilhood. Thank you so much for that and for the accompanying memories of my beloved mother, a woman of amazing intelligence, ability and accomplishment.

    Das Rezept kenne ich von meiner Oma + es ist sehr vielseitig, denn neben der hier gezeigten Variante machte sie oft eine leicht gesüßte, bei der die Mitte eingedrückt wird, so das eine Vertiefung bleibt, in der dann jeder seine Lieblingszutat rein gibt...von Marmelade über Apfelmus bis Rübenkraut, oder auch Obstkompott (Ich möchte das am liebsten mit Rhabarberkompott), auch Pflaumenmus passt sehr gut!

    This brought back many childhood memories. Thank you! My grandmother made something similar back in the 1970’s but she cooked the potato bread in lard, not vegetable oil. This was the only bread I would eat as a child. When she passed (I was 11 when she and my grandfather were killed in a car accident), I struggled to eat regular bread and it took many years to be able to eat and enjoy regular bread.
    Thank you for sharing, I cannot wait to make this potato bread this weekend! It will be 45 years next month that I have gone without this bread as I never knew the recipe. Thank you again! And thank your Mother In Law for me too. 🙏❤️

    My grand mother called the milk and egg mixture Egg Cheese. She made it every year for Easter. Since she's gone, I've continued the tradition. So yummy!

      My Irish-Hungarian grandmother made something similar w raisins at Easter. They called it Sidack or Ceedack. Never learned how to make it until today!

      this looks like i could make donuts. I think punching some holes in the middle and a glaze would be great.
      Good on you for keeping the tradition alive. I make several dishes that were handed down from my granny who was from Copenhagen Denmark. Her baked beans were legendary. Her chicken and dumplings have no equal. My Mother was the best cook I've ever had the privilege to be around. I miss her every single day. My Father passed two years ago . He was 96 years old and tough as a boot. He passed away in his own bed and never took a thing for the Cancer and horrible pain he was in other than Ibuprofen . I promised him that i would never put him in a home and i sat by his side and he passed away in his own bed. Forgive me for sharing this. This video brought back memories.

      @@supersquid369 My father in law made it with raisins at Easter too. He called it yellow cheese :) It was yellow like lemon.

    It's potatoe bread and my whole family eats potatoes like this. Very delicious. We even eat potato pancakes and dip them in apple sauce.

    These look so scrumptious ! They make me think of fried biscuits and doughnuts. I imagine they would be so good with a glaze spread over them while they're warmish !!! YUMMM !!! 😋

    My mom does it this way too...i boil them whole, skin and all. The skin peels off easily, but I typically leave some in my mashed potatoes, like Applebee's
