I just have to say thank you for running this game that I never had within my childhood since I didn't have the correct console. Thank you for doing this for Doctors without Borders and have a good time. Try to see if you can get in to do as much as you can for this great cause! From everyone that has worked in my channel and from me the owner, we thank you and hope to see you in another GDQ video!
Honestly, he would have gotten sub 5 if it wasn't for the postman. I believe, like he said, the postman did bug on him so he never would have gotten it unless he had reset the game.
the entire thing was so funny and the donation that said "the blue dog incentive has been met" was the funniest i lost it bc patty said it as if it was a real thing

Amazing run and holy cow, that was some incredible endurance despite some unfortunate setbacks. Excellent and informative commentary, beyond excellent announcer and some amazing jokes that I won't soon forget. 50 from anonymous. No comment. Blue Dog Forever!
What an absolutely mind blowing run. Big props to Phil for even attempting this category, I'm always on edge when just playing casually due to the lingering threat of random crashes on the GC anniversary edition, didn't realize even the VC version wasn't safe from this, that makes this run all the better. With all that in mind, the postman really was the least of the potential things that could go wrong. Excellent dynamic with Patty as well, this was definitely one of the best runs this entire marathon, didn't manage to stay awake for the entirety, but rewatching it was a treat nonetheless.
My personal favorite run of this year's SGDQ. I ended up catching it about 1 hour 30 minutes in at midnight after I got off work, and watched it all the way through after. Super fun all the way through, Phil and Patty's banter was hilarious, the run was fantastic, and, of course, BLUE DOG. Hope Phil and Patty come back for another run next year!
I love the energy in this run. The commentary is great, the comments/donations are incredible, the banter the jokes and voices…I love everything about this.
Amazing gameplay, good commentating and a huge entertainment factor between Phil and Patty! There were so many astonishing runs this SGDQ, but this was my favorite by far. Well done to everybody. I enjoyed the run very much!
It's also pretty interesting how "low %" is delineated; there's a lot of games out there with very time-consuming ways to skip otherwise necessary pickups, so there are some world record speed runs on games several times longer than the same run, with one or two extra items picked up. Some very interesting videos out there on it.
This was the most fun run ever. I loved the mic and couch relationship so much. What an experience to experience it live. I was an Anon back then too. I still think about this run a lot.
Despite this only being a 99.99% run, still one of my favorite GDQ runs of all time. Banter between Phil and Patty was legendary. Every run should aspire to be this good.
Patty is one of the most enthusiastic hosts I've seen and it just made this run all the more enjoyable to see him have such a good time interacting with MajinPhil. Excellent run and I'm glad you got a PB!!
I like that Anonymous fella, not only are they incredibly generous with their donations they're also very humble and rarely if ever have anything to say.
Thank you so much for putting this run up, it was on at 5 in the morning here, so I couldn't catch it really, what a great SGDQ it was this summer. Fantastic work guys and great run Phil!
When the moon hits the ground And the clock crashes down Thats a’scary, thats a’scary When you dont want to die So you rewind the time Thats a cool Shoutouts to whoever sushi stole theirs from and to sushi for shouting it out in this run!
The death warp actually got me I was cooking breakfast not looking at the screen at all so only heard the 8 minute reroute I was so upset for them for a second hahaha
Even the GC version of the Collectors Edition disc isn't immune to crashing. I had one happen to me on my casual playthrough of the game when entering the well. To add insult to injury, I did ALL of Great Bay on that same cycle. Also, owl saves are NOT permanent outside of the 3DS version.
The gc version is actually the absolute worst copy is way more unstable than vc and n64. It has sound problems and a lot crashing problems, the theory is that because mm uses the ram expansion slot for the cycle it was a lot harder to emulate
I thought the GC version was way more prone to crashing than the N64, at least from what I remember. I don't recall the N64 version crashing much other than something bumping the console/cartridge, might just be a problem with the ports.

Phil didn't realize that I had actually been gone for like 5 minutes and he saw me walking back lololololololol
Patty, I sincerely enjoyed your over the top commentary and genuine humor. You are a phenomenal person and I will follow all of your outlets.
Patty I love your commentary you could do commercials with your voice
I always rewatch Xelna’s LTTP runs with you on the couch. Gold patty, gold!
You absolutely thrashed it, man
Couldn't ask for a better announcer
I could listen to ya'lls banter forever
wait where? haha give us a timestamp i think i missed it. golden commentary btw
We redeemed ourselves! Just got a personal best and the run had a first try postman
ok, you got me with the intentional death early in the run at the temple. You aren't THAT bad an actor!

Feels glad man
That Deku Palace skip was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen :0
Patty: ATTENTION EVERYONE! WE HAVE REACHED THE BLUE DOG INCENTIVE
Phil: Excuse me what
the host/runner relationship was really fun to experience lmao
Phil got so scared when he heard patty say "WE REACHED THE BLUE DOG INCENTIVE"
OMG he did too

Shoutout to speed runners who have the patience and passion to complete these games like this!
I swear Patty is the funniest and most charismatic person I have heard on mic
watching phil keep saying hes gonna get sub 5 hours and me watching this vod with the time in the title is so sad
Honestly, he would have gotten sub 5 if it wasn't for the postman. I believe, like he said, the postman did bug on him so he never would have gotten it unless he had reset the game.

38:00 - I was watching Twitch chat at the time and can confirm that in fact, many people were fooled.
I got completely jebaited
38:44 I fell for it and burst out laughing when you revealed that it was an intentional death warp, thank you phil you're a great runner
5:08:09 is the best donation in the history of GDQ
Fun fact: the 2500 dollar donation got read while the mini game counter was counting past 2500 points at 4:04:30
My favorite part was when they got $50 from Anonymous with no comment.
Timestamp please?

Overall my single favorite speedrun video. I’ve watched this like 4 times all the way through. It continues to blow my mind.
The interaction between the runner and the host is so hilarious!
I'm an hour and 20 minutes into this run and I'm really enjoying it.

GC version is considered the worst version with the most crashes and worst load times. VC does have places it can crash but nowhere near GC.

What an amazing run, I don't usually follow majoras mask runs but damn the runner, host, and couch were all incredibly interactive and entertaining
By far, some of the best commentary out of the whole event.
I love all of these long speedruns because then I can just have them in the background all day
Postman and Blue Dog - best friends forever
I can't believe you guys hit 3 million! Grats to everyone involved, donors, runners, event staff, etc!
The most entertaining run of SGDQ19
I think it's tied with Crystal
That Metroid-ALttP rando coop tho
@@pedroscoponi4905 that was fantastic too. So funny
I loved the Resident Evil 2 Remake speedrun as well, it had nice commentary and the crowd was very hype.
I love the energy in this run. The commentary is great, the comments/donations are incredible, the banter the jokes and voices…I love everything about this.
The way the runner and the moderator interact is insane.
Epic commentary and a great run
Amazing gameplay, good commentating and a huge entertainment factor between Phil and Patty! There were so many astonishing runs this SGDQ, but this was my favorite by far. Well done to everybody. I enjoyed the run very much!
It’s interesting hearing about how Speedrunners and Completionists define 100% in games that don’t track completion. Great marathon run!
It's also pretty interesting how "low %" is delineated; there's a lot of games out there with very time-consuming ways to skip otherwise necessary pickups, so there are some world record speed runs on games several times longer than the same run, with one or two extra items picked up. One of the best GDQ runs. The chemistry between Patty and Phil is exceptional. They make the entire 5 hours interesting.
That postman was insane.

I love how the hardest trick isn’t even a trick but in fact an actual mini game in the game… dang
Patty and Phil need a buddy cop movie
Love the synergy between the runner and the donation guy

Majora's mask is always the best speedrun of the event. I loved the 4-person run from 2016(?) the most. Glad to see a 100% run of the game back again!
These speedrun charity videos are giving me life. Good job guys!
I like that Anonymous fella, not only are they incredibly generous with their donations they're also very humble and rarely if ever have anything to say.

Also the announcer is a legend and the banter throughout this run is so fantastic thank you all for the hard work!!
Probably one of my favorite runs from GDQ this year. the commentary was incredible
I love this run especially since there are some tricks that can be used in a casual playthrough
Man this is the best commentary ever xD
Turned into a 99.99% run but nobody can blame Phil after that kind of RNG.
Damn you Postman!
It is amazing how good this game looks. Even in 2019 it still looks good.

Patty is best couch and best microphone.
after seeing this run patty has easily become my favorite host
I always love seeing 100% runs! Great job :D
ive been waiting four years for this. & it was perfect.
One of the best runs I have seen on GDQ, awesome stuff Phil
Love watching these Majora's mask speedruns, great job to the runner and everyone involved at SGDQ
i love the guy reading the donos, such a charismatic attitude
The interaction between Runner and Commentator made this one of the most enjoyable runs of the season.
Instead donating for every Gordon bump, they should have done a donation for every failed postman attempt.
I just discovered this community of speed running and i love it.
Best run of agdq this time around imo. The run and the commentary both top notch.
Will always be my favorite speedrun ever at an agdq
best ending of a run, loved all of it
When the moon hits the ground
And the clock crashes down
Thats a’scary, thats a’scary
When you dont want to die
So you rewind the time
Thats a cool
Shoutouts to whoever sushi stole theirs from and to sushi for shouting it out in this run!
Amazing run and 10/10 commentator. Best run I've ever watched.
MajinPhil es de los speedrunners que más entretiene ver. Podrían pasar más de 10 horas y seguiría interesado en el juego.
This game was light years ahead of its time. OT and MM are two of the greatest games of all time
I stayed up late watching this run live. Great job Phil, and thanks GDQ for an amazing event!
The amazing chemistry and banter between Patty and Phil is what makes this run so good. We need more runs like this.
that god damned postman minigame... so frustrating to watch
Wow, the ending was just literally perfect. Good job Patrick for donations, almost didn't recognize the voice at first!
I was so wating for this upload - loved the run!
I like how the mountain climbing in Majora's Mask is the same as the mountain climbing in Skyrim
"See that mountain? You can climb it!"

I love the Skyrim jump up mountains approach! LOL Awesome run
This speed run is insane...
I come back to this video at least once a year. :,) 2021!
Took me at least a year to beat this game. It was scary af to play. That moon is just outright mean to look at

The savage postman and his 9,99
