I remember reading a post on reddit where a self-proclaimed incel posted a photo of himself asking for advice in how to make himself more attractive.
The absolute vile that came from the others was just revolting. Many told him he had no hope and should just not even try. They tore him to shreds.
When I saw the photo, he was actually quite attractive. Just needed to take care of himself better. He was clearly dehydrated and in need of a shower.
Long story short, incel culture is like emotional S&M for them, I swear.

I am 37 years old and I have always been single, I have never been in a relationship and I am still a virgin. I have been affected since childhood by a very rare genetic disease that handicaps me physically. Despite this, I have no hatred towards women. I understand very well that being in a relationship with me can be complicated because of my physical situation, and I don't blame women. My situation is different from most incels, but they should see things differently instead of being so negative. They don't have any major health problems that prevent them from finding someone. Even if they have had women in the past who have behaved badly with them, not all of them will. Some may not agree, but I think these guys should change their mindset, if at all possible.

You coule argue, that people are superficial online, but what other options are there, when more thean 50% (and rising due to the virus) of 21st century relationships are created on dating apps. The end result is, that most men of generation Z will be left in the dust to rot on their own. And that is where BP comes in to collect.

It is important to remember that understanding the grievances of incels or neo-nazis is not the same as recognizing those grievances as legitimate. Their views are wrong but we can't put an end to these groups until we really understand how and why they radicalize their members.

I wouldn't say that any particular group is wrong or right. I don't think it's as simple as being black or white. It's about perspective and relativity imo. As the status quo of society begins to molt and evolve/devolve, so does what is considered acceptable or not.

While I share your sentiment, I hate that it's being touted by those who wish to suppress people's First Amendment rights. These groups are indeed dangerous and are totally unworthy of respect to any person with intelligence or compassion. However, no person in a free society should be denied the right to SPEAK, no matter how evil their speech may be.
It has been repeatedly proven that the best way to get people out of these groups (the same is true of cults) is to find ways to broaden their horizons. When you dismantle their twisted worldview, staying with such groups becomes unpalatable.

I almost got sucked into incel thinking. I always used to be an passionate football player in my school days. But before starting college, I gained a lot of weight and had 5 herinated discs and I lost the ability to play football. And therefore in college, in order to find happiness, I tried dating and thought that having a girlfriend and sex will make me happy. But I wasn't happy with myself and therefore couldn't attract anyone.
However I saw that guys who I knew were playboys (and were vouched to be so by my sister too) were getting girls left and right. So what the incels were saying (about the Chads and Stacies) seemed true. But the I started boxing and MMA. And that saved me, along with me finding the love of life (currently dating her).
Turns out the I needed something to be passinate about. And I had lost that when I couldn't play football anymore. So having boxing and MMA saved me.
Well it is true. It's true for all mammals closely related to us and for many more animals.
What incels say is just what any zoologist says.

In our day to day life, we are taught to rein in our "animalistic" urges and emotions. We never get to face them, and hence cannot deal with them.
But if you start martial arts. And ESPECIALLY when you start sparring (hard sparring) you will face two of the most primal human emotions: fear and anger.
The first time I got punched while sparring (boxing rules) I was filled to the brim with fear and anger. Fear because I knew I was taking part in an activity where I can get physically hurt and angry because my opponent had just punched me. Even though my brain knew that I am more or less safe (as my coach will not let me get seriously injured) but I had never been in a fight after 5th grade. And the rush of fear and anger was unknown to me.
My first match went bad as I couldn't control my emotions and my fighting form went out of the window (2 months of hitting pads but nothing helped as I lost control).
But after 4 sparring matches, I was no longer fearful and angry to the point I lost control. Coming face to face with those emotions again and again helped me master them.
I suggest you try martial arts too.

As a father of two daughters, I legitimately think thoses people are dangerous. I believe in free speech, I believe in liberty of expression. But I also believe in taking consequences and responsibility in your action. You can't say or do anything hateful without impunity. According to _actual_ studies, approximately half of these people are left-leaning / liberal, the other half right-leaning conservative, and only a small minority actually supports far-right and/or white supremacy ideologies. Furthermore, ethnic minorities are disproportionally represented in the incel community, so racism is indeed a frequently discussed topic, but in a completely different context than claimed by mainstream media. For everyone who's interested in a more realistic perspective, I'd recommend William Costello, a sociologist who investigates the incel phenomenon. There are a couple of quite good interviews with him on YT, for example on Chris Williamson's channel ('Modern Wisdom Podcast'), and on Novara Media (with Ash Sarkar).
I've had the odd conversation with such people online, more MGTOW types, and there's a weird lack of understanding that if a woman doesn't like you, it's not the woman's fault. They seem to think "I've done a, b & c for this girl, and she won't go out with me" as if affection is a kind of debt to be repaid.
It's actually not surprising, because self-denial is a massive force. The need to blame other people for one's own failings is a very strong urge.

I feel sorry for the kids now. They know nothing about being social. My nephew had a party with kids around 18-22. They all sat staring at their phones. Nobody was talking but they were actually sending messages to each other rather than speaking. One person would laugh at something they read and then another but nobody really spoke to each other. They seemed to be sending messages about each other. It was the most awkward thing. I expect the incel community will be multiplying.

One of the biggest contributing factors I believe would be social media/forums it severely warps a persons perception of reality, people's expectation and reality doesn't match it causes them to resent society. From what I read the guy was getting attention from girls but not the ones he wanted. He wanted a 10 but he probably didn't realize he needed to work on himself and or lower his standards. He visited online forums with a negative few point on life and that became his reality without a healthy outlet.
That’s what I think the issue is! Average guys can get average women. Well, I haven't completely finished my journey, I still have to get a girlfriend and all. But I started out as an incel, started realising that the mentality isn't gonna help, started hating incels, and now I just pity them, kinda wish I could help get them all out of that state of mind.

While I appreciate her efforts, how are incels labeled as far right? I find her description of "anti-femininsts" interesting. I used to work for a hard core feminist organization. The boss was hateful, radical, mean, and a bully. Many of us women were afraid of her. The agency supported sexual survivors. One of my former coworkers was an advocate and radical but she was approachable and not a bully. She claimed to be a feminist for all of these years but when I found out she loved Joe Biden, I had to ask about Tara Reade. She shouted "believe women," but when it came to Tara Reade, she and many others remained silent. After raising this issue, she unfriended and blocked me. Perhaps she just didn't want to face herself. Party over people is NOT feminism. I find feminism to be very subjective so I want no part of it because it only supports women who make the "correct" political choices. I believe in the empowerment of women but find feminism a complete lie and a joke. I'm also concerned about the rage and ideology of many who lean left. Like they have no ability to see beyond themselves. I'm concerned about radicalization. I have no problem exposing the right but let's be honest.
The political right, particularly its most fringe elements, have most definitely adopted a misogynistic platform. Look at the proud boys and their vow of “we idolize the housewife.” So not a big leap that “incels” would find themselves a political home among the right.
