    Hey guys, thanks for taking us along with you. What a stunning place, and those night skies , wow.
    Love your bus....I've got a 1973 westy, and love chasing shooting stars, lol.

      In April (2023) I spent two nights at North Campground (Bryce Canyon) and hit the viewing areas. Beautiful. Didn't have time to boondock. I was heading to Tucson and hit the NP's on the way. Stayed at Mather Campground,Grand Canyon If you get a change stop at Monument Vally and take the 17 mile road Loop on the Navajo Reservation. (Small Charge) Can't camp on the reservation but you can find a spot through @Hip Camp App. Have Vantastic adventure.@@ThatBaldwinLife

    Once again brilliant footage of epic places. We've been to Brice Canyon and loved the hikes. Every corner you turn the scenery changes. We were there in November, no crowds, empty campgrounds and being Canadian we could still were shorts. Oh.....congratulations on making the cut for the Vane Cafe Calendar!!! We are also in there (November). Sooner or later we are going to bump into each other on the trail, until then keep producing these gems. Gordo.

    Good adventure kids. Bryce Canyon one of the many spectacular features in Utah we don't see here. Walked some of those paths myself altho a Harley easier to park!

    Wow! Great adventure video! Thanks for sharing. Agree, wouldn't want to be out there during a rainstorm. Especially seeing how those "dry creek beds" turn into raging torrents. Good thing you didn't ask the cows where to find good burgers out there.

    Beautiful stills at the end, great vid and thanks for sharing! Last time we were in the Kanab UT area we were limited by our rental car, but plan on getting back there with the (in-progress) Vanagon in the future! Keep the great content coming!

    If you get stuck in the back roads of Utah, call Matts Off Road to get pulled out! And beware of wet dirt roads. It would appear that it becomes a very slick mess very quickly after a rain. Highly recommend bringing a real shovel and those traction boards.
    Also rule #2 for driving in Utah, if you can buy gas, buy it. Stations are far apart. Same for restrooms. Always bring plenty of water, you can get help, but it may take them awhile to get to you. (I know that campers have 15gal tank for water.)
    Oh yeah, if you think Bryce is crowded, try Zion which is ridiculous!

    • @ThatBaldwinLife
      @ThatBaldwinLife  Год назад

      Haha, not sure I could afford to call Matt!! I’d just have to get myself out 😁

    No Peloquin needed here, took our Chrysler minivan on this road. I've had my (non-LSD) Westy all over SW Utah backroads. Surprisingly capable, but I am jealous of your LSD equipped van.

    • @ThatBaldwinLife
      @ThatBaldwinLife  Год назад +2

      In some of the washes before the switchbacks, a lower clearance vehicle like the minivan might have struggled this trip. It was pretty rutty and deep on the exits. On the switchbacks, no problem. They were just a little tore up on the inside line as usual.
      We drove our Westy all over the place for the first 9 years with no Peloquin. We just had it installed earlier this year. It is a great peace of mind and allows you to take some of the terrain a bit slower knowing both tires can/will get traction.
      Glad you're getting out there in your Vanagon!

    • @ThatBaldwinLife
      @ThatBaldwinLife  Год назад

      Thanks! The tent is ok. If I were to do it again, I would go with the GoWesty tent or even the Northwesty one. The Bus Depot tent is very thin.

    Maybe u didn’t show it but the only way to truly appreciate Bryce is to walk to the bottom of the canyon and then loop and come back out…

    • @ThatBaldwinLife
      @ThatBaldwinLife  10 месяцев назад

      We didn't walk down to the bottom but did hike down a ways. Unfortunately, we needed to get back to the general store before they closed so we could do laundry and showers but it seems like an amazing hike. Maybe next time!
