While i disagree on a lot of choices made in your decklist, i still very much appriciate the amount of interesting ideas you put into it. Very hyped to find out what is going to be the most obtimal way to play swordsoul in this format, because i think all of us still have a lot of testing to do.
Yeah this is obviously a hybrid with new format still to take shape and the changes from the banlist, no doubt a lot of this will change as it starts to take shape and the deck will be more fine tuned.
I agree with alot of what you're saying but im going to play my version with two pot of desires instead of the yang zing momsters as its 1) way cheaper and 2) more consistent
Yeah desires were the ones that made space for the 2 yang zing monsters, If you do decide to play yangzings you can use cheaper ones as deng can summon from the deck when sent, so without level manipulation you can make a level 8 synchro with a nice 500atk boost aswell using the fire or you can use the level 2 and protect it from traps
You think you could do a,true king yang zing profile. I know it a bit outdated and vfd is gone but I think it's still a neat deck concept espically with a small swordsoul engine

How are you finding dropping hand traps for the -1 small world? In other decks small world is used to generate card advantage from searching key combo peices. Here its to get a win more card that doesnt really make your end boards better, or generate card advantage, while in fact losing you card advantage.
Not entirely. Small world gets you everything you need. So it can get you a starter - ecclisia/ashuna It can get you a board breaker - kaiju It can get you a floodgate HT - Droll. It can get you a combo exstender in Ringo. I haven't dropped anything for small world, the biggest change is that of dropping 3 imperm for the yangzing cards. It's a bit risky at current as the format is slightly undefined due to the banlist so time will tell if more HT are needed.
So for ecclesia, what are your targets? Ashuna, chiwen, vishuna? Only on Chiwen does that play make sense for comb. The Kaiju play line sounds fine, though there isn't much next format that requires you to go that hard to out it if you just play normal hand traps. And for droll, targets are taia and ecclesia? But that would be preemptive knowing what your opponent was playing a deck it hurts, other wise it is -1 and slowing your next turn plays. I think it's wise just to stick with hand traps.
Ecclisia comes from any tenyi into ashuna into ecclisia. you also have ringo gets into her and vise vera. No one knows the exact format as yet, so droll and Kaiju are inter-changable, to what is the most relevant for the format, if Droll ist going to be good in the match up you dont search it. The previous build didnt run loads of HT the only change I made was dropping Imperm, which as mentioned is interchangable, veiler is another good option as she can help get into chaos angel. Im not a fan of clogging down a deck with multiple HT, not only can they brick, but the higher level decks can play through multiple HT, so your going to nneed 2-3 HT and then your combo in order to win the game.? With this you have routes to everything you need through smallworld, going second very few people will stop Smallworld so getting to a kaiju can be invaluable expessily if we expect the format to maintain riseheart pass. If you go off of the most recent YCS/Nats and the banlist its highly possible that kash will be the Number 1 deck, so they struggle against droll, they can be outed with kaiju, and then your remaining cards can build a board they cant beat.
I like the build but I feel it tries to do too much at the same time. PEP doesn't really synergize with Longyuan's burn and I would only play it with Destrudo which would mean playing Bystial but doesn't look like the format to do so. Also, only 3 handtraps? We are in a handtrap heavy format (or maybe not due to banlist) but going from almost 9-12 to 3 is risky imo. Denglong enables crazy Chaofeng locks and it is a shame to not get advantage of it. And I'm physically unable to not play Chungus lol, he is the sovereign after all. Anyway nice vid.
I feel like that’s the entire point of being able to use denglong imo. I totally agree with the whole going from 12 to 3 hand traps feels kinda Bad but I also feel that denglomg being an option means tons of random bricks and whatnot. Also I don’t mean this to sound rude or anything just a friendly response for real!
I was never playing 9-12 HT in the first place so not a massive shift for me. Yes dropping to 3 is a 50% change from my last build, but that's to test out the format and the yangzing cards in the main. Through testing they have worked out nicley as most people don't know how denglong functions and the yangs. Once that becomes more common and the format takes shape the build will continue to adapt.
@@zephyrwargamesyugioh not playing chengying is wierd. He helps breaks boards and works better with the strategy then PEP. You're sacrificing stronger board breaking options imo.
@Zekiel yeah I'm just testing pep due to how easy it is to make it with denglong, The idea is, if your left with bare bones and can't boost/manipulate cheng, Pep will give you a otk push
