In Germany we heard how Russian state television said that trees in Berlin's city parks were already being cut down to keep warm, of course it was all a lie. For us it would be comedy but the Russians were spiteful. We were shocked by this mentality and then laughed that the Russians believed this shit. Yes, it's karma! I feel sorry for the people because it is much colder in Russia than here. Xenia you are so likeable and for me a normal European woman. It´s all so sad. 🌡❄🔥

I remember Western media reporting on Germans stocking up on firewood. At any rate I think we see with the protests in Germany and companies like BASF moving production to China that cutting of Russian gas...which you did yourselves...has had adverse consequences.

@@robopalo8041 Regretfully, it is a large population of homeless, including decent working homeless people and families living in cars and tents in a wealthy Australia. I devote a lot of mine time and money to help, however it is a serious lack of affordable properties for people to rent or buy. I am sure that you can find more than enough desperate circumstances in your own country. We all need to respect and accept each other as humans. Regarding political propaganda, plenty of those in every country.

I'm happy to hear you are warm! I was wondering about you. They played that Russian propaganda video here on the Dutch NOS Journaal of a fictional family in Western Europe freezing in their apartment, and having to eat their pet hamster to keep from starving. We got a great laugh out of it! Nobody froze or starved here without Russian gas. Now Russians are suffering because of the poor maintenance of their heating system. Probably due to the ususal graft and corruption, and the fact that so many technicians have either left the country, or have been sent to the front to kill Ukrainians. Ukrainian infrastructure is being bombed every day, but still they manage to keep their heating intact.

This year I am continuing to laugh at the irony of Russians being the ones sitting in the cold despite their nonsense talk last year. I am currently sat at my desk enjoying the warmth, eating bush's legs (ножки Буша), and listening to you. While the price of energy here in UK has risen greatly, it is nowhere near the situation the Vatniks were claiming it would be here. My house is a nice 20 degrees, plenty of food, and enough money to enjoy life. Wishing you the best of luck and for seeing events as they really are.

The Russian people live in fear and awe of their gangster leaders. This has always been true and nothing has changed. Russians have never fought their own gangsters for their own freedom so they get what they deserve.
The French killed their king, the Americans threw off their British oppressors, the English created a democratic Parliament over stages, the Italians hung Mussolini by his feet and drilled him with machine guns, and all across Europe monarchs were replaced with democratic legislatures.
But Russians hide in the weeds...

I am a plumber. I live in Berlin and i know it well with heating. Russia had maintain the old heating mains, but the SMO is more important. Now repairs worker tanks and not the heating system. You can save a lot of money, if you work constantly and not steal the money for personal belongings for special people from the russian peoples.
The last two years i have isolated the ceelings, new windows and other stuff. Now the half consumption of natural gas. For me was reducing the natural gas the most important thing.

This is not Karma. This is common sense. If the craftsmen go to Ukraine because they earn more there, they are missing in Russia. Corruption is the final straw. The money was obviously not invested in the infrastructure, but disappeared into the pockets of a few people. I hope not for the Russians. But I think infrastructure failures will increase.

In Russia, the heating system is built worse than in Europe. The same water that comes from the district heating plant circulates in the radiators of the houses, it contains air and it rusts the pipes. In Europe, the systems of houses are usually closed, so there is no air and therefore the pipes do not rust. In addition, all maintenance men have been sent to SMO, so it is clear that the system is collapsing... Believe me, this is only the beginning....

Even when it became 10,2 degrave celsius in my bedroom last year because it became more expensive and my dad didn''t feel the need to put on the radiator, but we did continue to have gas and oil. I had no issue with it. For me it was better actually because I work outside for hours anyway. The state declared an emergency and dozens of electric crews were brought in from other states to fix the lines. I’m not sure how Russian government works but if pipes are not getting fixed quickly it’s probably that there is a breakdown in the bigger regional and federal system. People are going to get angry.

@@robopalo8041Many people/families have central units, Ksenia s only talking about the old heating system (we have it too in Romania but it’s not super reliable), which means the hot water (for usage or heating the radiators) is distributed directly from the power plant. We prefer using individual units (on gas or electricity) but in the old soviet-style blocks of flats they have the option to be still connected to the city’s power plant. It’s far cheaper but not the most reliable.
