Kreia's Conundrums - The Void Within
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 10 фев 2025
- In this Kreia's Conundrums we delve a bit into existentialism. Just a bit. In real life we have to find our own purpose. Our own meaning in life. Fulfillment doesn't just happen. In the Star Wars universe things are a bit different. Knights of the old Republic 2: The Sith Lords brought with it something that asks the question: Would you really want to forge your own destiny?

Influence Lost: Quinn
Babe, wake up. New Kreia's Conundrums just dropped.
Just in time for Easter.
6:57 I can't help but feel that Kreia is talking about Revan when she says:
_"It is like having a beloved pupil to whom you have shared everything, sacrificed everything, and then having them turn from you and forget all you were."_
When the Jedi Council wiped Revan's mind during the Jedi Civil War, they obviously also wiped all of his memories of Kreia (or Arren Kae if you believe the connection). Can you imagine being in Kreia's position here? Training Revan from childhood, watching him grow, raising him to become a good man, only to have it all thrown away in an instant. It's like losing a son.
Yes, I've noticed this sentiment. I do wonder though. Revan regained his memories eventually. He probably remembers Kreia. But had no reason to seek her out, I guess. Kreia mentions that he didn't ask her to go with him to the unknown regions. She says that if he did, she's not sure if she would have gone. I guess maybe it would have depended on the strength of Revan's argument as to why it would be so important.
@@PapitoQinn Maybe he didn't remember her by that time, he only regained his full memories when the jedi exile found him and retrieve him his mask, and by that time Kreia was alreary dead .
I Think Nihlus shows the point that comes when that emptiness is surrendered to... a cold, dark comfort that must be shared; the cost be damned. He chose to embrace the meaningless and share it with the galaxy. The Exile is shown how to define their own existence and give it meaning.
So desperately tries to fill the hole with crack. Fails. And surrender to it saying: I"m gonna keep doing crack anyway.

Even tho my brain cant really understand philosophy at all I thank you for this video Qinn! Much love bro! 🤝
Thanks so very much, man! All you really have to do is put your mind to it and you'll get it. Philosophy is just about thinking. That's it. Thinking about stuff.
Bro is back with more knowledge from Kreia!!!!
Somehow, Papito returned.
Come to find out he never left.
A conundrum in 2024, coolocity.
Oh yeah. We're still out here.
This cut far too deep. I know this too well. I lost my religion, I lost people, and I lost myself. Yet I struggle on, devising a purpose for myself.
I'm sorry to hear that, man. Remember that just like the Exile, you're the one who decides what these experiences turn you into.
I don't have a void in my life or any soulsickness. Because I've made it my life's mission to constantly try to become the best version of myself.
My purpose is to always improve myself.
What you just described is the method you use to fill the void. And you're not becoming the best version of yourself. You're changing yourself. Because you've determined that you're not good enough.
*_The Man, The Myth, The Legend as returned!_*
With more Kreia material no less~
Kreia will remain a character in the world of Star Wars that has no meaning that has never existed and will not exist after it
I think this one is your best Papito. Keep on keeping on
Thanks! I don't know about that. I think manipulation is still maybe better. But thanks! I'm glad you think so.
Kreia ia the greatest written star wars character of all time.
Kreia has always solved and given me answer to my most existential questions
Thank you for continuing these videos.
Thanks for still being here.
Excellent editing in this one. Good job!
Thanks, homie. I was worried I got rusty.
I think you hit a new high with this one. I was honestly touched. You succeding in really emphasising the trauma and pain, the exile has undergone in cutting themself off from the force. @@PapitoQinn
Sometimes you have to answer the question regularly - “who are you without [so-and-so]?”
Last July I was laid off my electrical engineering job, and for the past 8.5 months, I’ve applied and interviewed nonstop… in vain. Then I had to answer the question: “who am I without engineering?” “Who am I without a job?” “Who am I without a home of my own?” The answers to all these questions - “an individual with willpower to survive and take back what’s his and more, an individual with boundless creativity, an individual who is free as he pleases.”
Lately I’ve been living in my car with what little I have, going to where I need to go, ie: Los Angeles for a photo shoot with a model. Since January I had begun taking up fashion photography/videography, and despite having little to my name and surviving on scraps, I have a lot of fun, am able to humanize attractive women, and envision a brighter future without engineering…
But now without my creativity… I could be more robotic… I don’t know. My creativity has always been a part of who I am.
Anyway sorry for this rambling. Given the topic of voids within, I was pondering on it.
Don't be sorry. This is important. It's important to express and it's important for others to hear... or read. I truly hope that everything works out for you.
Ohhhh, good topic. Man I've really missed this series. Good work Qinn
"There is no path.
Beyond the scope of light, beyond the reach of Dark…
…what could possibly await us?
And yet, we seek it, insatiably…
Such is our fate." - Aldia, Dark Souls 2
“Yhwach. You desired a world... Where fear would no longer be a burden. But... In a world without fear of death... People will never attain the hope that is to be found from casting their fears aside and preserving through them. While it is true that people can continue to press forward through the simple act of living... That is no way comparable to marching forward in the face of death, while doing their damndest to keep it at bay. That is why... That is why people have given that very march a unique and special name. "COURAGE.”
― Sousuke Aizen, Bleach
It's very ironic how this is so close to real life, the Witcher background is so fitting too.
The thing about existential crysis, that we want to believe in something ,but at the same time let's not forget to live as well enjoy the time we have with those we love and not let a purpose blind us to everything around us.
Time is such a small thing, so lets not forget to live while we follow our purpose or find a purpose.
Snuck in some Battletech Music in here huh, excellent choice, and as always an excellent video. In my opinion purpose gives you meaning, meaning gives you a reason to continue through the suffering as to live is to suffer, and no one wants to suffer meaninglessly.
Nietzsche, right? "To live is the suffer, to survive to find some meaning in the suffering."
This is a surprise to be sure, a very welcome one at that
✝️ Be blessed for your wisdom and purpose, and continue to be a light for others in their journey. ❤
Wow! You are extremely generous. This is more generous than I think I deserve. Thank you very much!
@@PapitoQinn PapitoQinn, your channel and influence have saved a couple of lives and even helped to heal some people. I shared your videos. These individuals, who are/were psychologically impaired, need to see the truth by your example, providing contrast and clarity for those who struggle to understand certain things.
Your ability to do so is compared to the Oracle in the movie "The Matrix Two," who helped lead Neo to make the best choices that led to his highest potential
"Awakening the truth in others," as Kreia says.

THE TRIUMPHANT RETURN
Well... I never actually left.
You share wisdom in your words. Thank you.
Thank YOU for watching.
Oh, how I long this type of storytelling, and characters as impactful on my life as Kreia. It's painfull to see what star wars could be, but it's not - neither in tv shows, movies, animations or other games. They are painfull empty and devoid of deeper thoughts that has gone into KotOR. Honestly, twisting the quote a bit, and looking upon the setting itself, it feels like the galaxy through eyes of Visas Marr - empty rocks, materia, pointless A to B plotlines and designs for the sake of designs, nothing standing behind them.
The one thing I can say went more in this direction was the show Andor. There's a video I want to make discussing it.
Man I love your channel
Thank you!
Do you think the True Sith could have been pawns of a greater Dark Side entity for the Kotor 3 game explaining how they are so greatly empowered to make Darth Nihilus look lesser? With how Ajunta Pall in Kotor 1 explains some unknown Dark Side source called unto them into becoming the Dark Lords they were in the 100 Year Darkness and come to Korriban and how Kreia talks about Wounds in the Force could it be possible in Kotor 3 the true main antagonist was using the True Sith all along and was a Dark Side Force Nexus entity of terrifying power? And that is what Revan was secretly fighting against along with the True Sith?
A self aware Dark Side Force Nexus entity would make for a unique antagonist in Star Wars.
Chris Avellone said during an interview that his idea for KoTOR 3 was to have multiple powerful dark siders as antagonists.
@@PapitoQinn
I am aware of that and that is definitely good. But do you think it's possible the true Sith themselves were also servants beholden to a greater Dark Side entity like a Dark Force Nexus as I explained what Ajunta Pall said and how Kreia says that the wound of Malachor V ultimately controlled Darth Nihilus?
@@thorshammer7883 No. I don't remember exactly what Ajunta Pall said. But Nihilus was controlled by his addiction. I don't really see any evidence for this.
@@PapitoQinn
Okay. You got to admit though the idea that there was a Dark Side Nexus that could control the True Sith and was the true power empowering them to such extreme height to eclipse Nihilus would be a interesting concept if it was. And it would support the themes of Kotor 2 Kreia was talking about. We know the Dark Side has a will of it's own and so do Nexuses. And if Revan was so afraid of the True Sith he needed the Star Forge a artificial Dark Side Nexus to counteract it while not being controlled by it and he also chose the Exile to become a Force Wound who healed herself perhaps this would make the Exile in Kotor 3 a perfect counter to the Force abilities of the True Sith. Being resistant to them but also having the ability to cut or seal them off from the Dark Side Nexus empowering them. It would fit quite well.
I would like to call this idea of the Dark Side Nexus the Heart of Korriban.
@@PapitoQinn
About Ajunta Pall. In Kotor 1 he said something of the Dark Side was calling him and his students from far out in the galaxy mysteriously. I think the Kotor writers were setting up something about the True Sith being connected to something powerful and self aware present out there.
Loved this one.
Fulfilment is finding out a stealth build can indeed beat the Kotor games.
Good to see your videos pop up again.
This might be your best one to date.
With the amount of information is known about what the True Sith empire would be like in the Kotor 3 playthrough being extremely chaotically evil and wicked and how Kotor 1 & Kotor 2 were silently setting them up alongside a unknown Darkside call which Ajunta Pall mentions had called to him and the rest of the Dark Jedi in the 100 year darkness and Kreia's abhorrence of balance amd Revan's constant counter measures he was developing to counteract the True Sith empire what do you think the Kotor 3 plot would be like, the themes, the true most powerful antagonists, and the ending with their defeat would be like and how long the game would need to be to see the defeat of these overpowered True Sith worse then Darth Nihilus?
Would the Exile be the linchpin countermeasure to the True Sith's abilities to enslave the Force and create Wounds? And the kinds of companions and allies needed to be in Kotor 3 to help the Exile set up the circumstances to defeat these evil demonic like True Sith?
This video almost seems like the redemption of Fredrick Nietzsche's philosophy on Nihilism on hating the Force/God/Jedi/Christians (Darth Nihilis) to fill the void in your heart ...If you compliment the will of the force (and or God) to be your ally.
Great Video.
Yes, new Kreia's Conundrums
Wasn't expecting the Wolfenstein clip, ngl
For me, there's the clips of Satoshi Kon's Paprika.
BRILLIANT!
Wow!, that was nothing; and beautiful!
Very cool!
Speaking from recent experience, its indeed a conundrum to have "purpose" in life. On one hand having your fate sealed by a 'man in the sky' leaving you without real choice, but on the other the crushing sense of reality that "you are nothing, less then nothing, you are so insignificant nothing you do will have an impact or matter in the long run" can destroy a mind that comes to this realization. And its funny the latter especially if you try to explain this to others, most will just not understand or will just call you a madman and invoke their religion as their 'solution'.
In star wars for better or worse the force may have a will of its own but it can still grant spiritual purpose without being too blatantly on the nose with what it wants and forcing you to do (aldo the major groups that use it will indeed like any religion enforce how to use it and how to think of it, which i feel if there was more diversity in how the force is viewed and interpreted it might help alleviate the bi-polarity of light side and dark side).
Another great video as usual, keep it up yo.
Yeah, I think I'll make a short video presenting this as a question.
First! Lol jk. Happy to finally see another one of these
It's wierd. It kinda happened by accident. I was writing something completely different and this came out instead.
@@PapitoQinn thinking about the void within?
Hmm... I think I'm tired. I barely remember what it was originally about.
(For a sec, I thought this was about the mysterious core of the Star Wars galaxy.)
0:23: Hey, it's Satoshi Kon's Paprika! Great choice!
1:23: And then Multiverse Theory comes along and makes the ideas both moot and scarier.
1:46: This moment in Wolfenstein: The New Order made me think: was God in that harsh universe deemed uncaring, because He was actually forcefully removed from Heaven/Urdak by one Samur Makyr, hid away for a long while, and then turned into VEGA a few centuries after the inevitable Allied Resistance victory against Deathshead's Reich, so to set the stage for DOOM 2016 and Eternal?
2:04: The Clone Wars 2008 only scratches the surface. If one wants the meat of it, there's the Devilworlds comics, the Cult and Supernatural Encounters novellas, and even weird cringe like The Crystal Star.
...I wonder, what'll theoretically happen if and when a sentient, originating from a universe without the Force, somehow isekai'd to any Star Wars universe would feel in their surroundings?
I don't know. Since they won't have any midichlorians in their blood stream. So they would have zero connection with the Force and many Force powers would be completely ineffective against them.
3:44 i will ruin this moment by saying that the Exile decides to flip over after falling down
God the timing
What do you mean?
Sorry I'm late!
Is this the Witcher 1 soundtrack at the end of the video? 👀
Close. But it's The Lady of the Lake song from the Witcher 3 Blood and Wine.
I am aware I might have a void inside. But I'm ok with that. It leads me to explore and gain more knowledge. So why should I complain if I live in neutrality ?
I Heve a lot to say. your words about the void touched me! I recently turned to spirituality, self-development and started to believe in god. Started to fill the void. May I ask, why you are not a beliver? 2. The more I listen to your wonderfull videos, the more I see Star wars as rigid, being in the grip of the godlike force, with a stricht duality of meaning and perpouse. My favorite fanchise is cursed. both the Sith and Jedi are slaves. This will not only lead to permanent conflict and war, but shallow caracters, because any sort of ambiguity would break the duality. Any Ideas on how to fix that?
Fix it? Not really. I would just suggest exploring beyond the boundaries that Star Wars, like KoTOR 2 did. Technically there's always going to be war. Otherwise the title wouldn't make much sense. Star WARS. If you want to get meta about it. The "Force" is technically the writers.
Guess I'm a multi-faceted failure.... good to know.

Kreia is a very sad character. As a guy who has come to have faith in Yahuah Elohim and Yahusha Hamashiach I feel very empathetic to her character and the circumstances she finds herself in despite me not agreeing nor abiding by either her or Nihilus's philosophy. I find the philosophies and doctrines of both the jedi or sith Star Wars Force to be simply wrong and I reject them. I just see as another brand of lawlessness and I don't like the concept of dualism balances. Kreia is a good example of a tragic person who became very restless and confused due to the imperfect fundamental nature of the Star Wars creation. I feel sad for her.
???? She wanted to do away with the force. She didn't want a "balance between sith and jedi." She wanted them both GONE.
@@I_am_a_cat_
Read my comment again. I am quite aware of that do not suggest that I am not. However I do not agree with Kreia's philosophy or her methodology. I am against them on a spiritual moral level base on Yahuah Elohim's framework and ten commandments. I am not a fan of her agnosticism but I can't objectively blame her for having such intrusive thoughts as she is stuck within a paradigm of constant subjectism unable to find a firm good foundation of anything that is outside the Force and her emotions hating such doctrines.
