Free Movement of Goods (MEQRs) | EU Law lecture

The free movement of goods between the Member States is one of the four fundamental freedoms established by the Treaty of Rome under EU Law. This lecture focuses on the non Fiscal trade barriers, cover article 34, 35 and 36 of TFEU. EU law prohibits Quantitative restrictions (‘QR’)and Measures equivalent to a quantitative restriction (‘MEQR’). In this lecture we discuss the important cases in which CJEU has explained the concept of MEQRs, and its related derogations.
