  • We show you how to quickly retrofit or remove Manfrotto ball head clamp and replace it with C60 clamp from ProMediaGear
    www.promediagea...
    This is a ProMediaGear re-designed 60mm (2.5inches) Long Arca-Swiss compatible quick release clamp. Features hard black anodized surface coating for durability and scratch resistance.
    Manfrotto Pins/ Retrofit Kit compatible with:
    Generally if you have this type of release on Manfrotto head the kit will work:
    RC2, RC4, Q5, Q6, 200PL
    Here is a short list of compatible models:
    Manfrotto 054 Q5
    Manfrotto 054 RC4
    Manfrotto 468MGRC2
    Manfrotto 494 RC2
    Manfrotto 496RC2
    Manfrotto 498
    Manfrotto MHXPRO-BHQ6
    Manfrotto MH055MO-Q6
    Manfrotto MH057M0-Q5
    Manfrotto MH057M0-Q6
    Manfrotto XPRO
    Manfrotto MHXPRO-BHQ2 200PL
    Manfrotto MHXPRO-BHQ6 XPRO
    1/4"-20 mounting thread cut in steel, nickel-chrome plated insert,ensures that thread will remain in good condition almost indefinitely, as opposed to all other designs that have threads cut directly in the aluminum body of the clamp, rending it useless once the threads wear out in the aluminum. It also allows you to upgrade to a different thread if you happen to change your tripod (inserts are available directly from us in all sizes), no need to buy a new clamp.
    Works with any standard Arca Swiss plate.

    I don't understand the advantage of doing such a replacement. Manfrotto rapid clamp is so convenient ! With only one hand and it's done !

      In general, I agree. Even with some decently sized lenses (Canon EF 28-300mm and EF 100-400mm) on my full frame bodies (Canon 5D Mk IV & battery grip, and Canon 1Ds Mk III), the Manfrotto rapid clamp system is easily strong and secure enough. I also use Arca Swiss styled plates when I'm using my Jobu BWG-Pro gimbals on a really heavy tripod in a fixed position, but mainly for establishing a fore-aft balance point. If I have to move around, do a lens change or swap a camera body, the Manfrotto rapid clamp system rocks. I'm not sure why one would even need to change the Manfrotto system when using the fairly small and light camera body & lens setup in the video, but my guess this gear is there purely to illustrate how their clamp works, since it would be hidden under a bigger piece of gear and not visible in the video.

      I would agree with you, but it has become a bit of an issue when I have multiple tripods, monopods to deal with.
      All my new gear (photography & video) now come with Arca Swiss clamps. It was starting to become a real hassle having to change the plate on my equipment whenever I switched so I am making the switch to Arca Swiss style plates for all my equipment. I don't want to throw away my very good Manfrotto ball heads, so this solution is perfect for me.

    the flat top mount of the promedia gear is compatible with other brands?
    the official page does not sell it and it is very useful to have several.

      You mean the Hex Screw from your ball head used to tighten the C60 to clamp.? There are few questions to answer? Was that Screw from the Ball head you used? What size Hex Wrench did you use? That usually happens if Hex Wrench is too small?

    will this clamp work with the Manfrotto Befree One Travel tripod

    • @PromediagearPMG
      @PromediagearPMG  3 года назад +1

      Yes, you can stack the tripod plate you have to the bottom of the C60 clamp and make a sandwich. Then place this unit into your ball head. An Arca Compatible L-Bracket will be able to securely lock into the C60 clamp.

    Thanks for sharing! Does it works for the MHXPRO-BHQ2 Manfrotto ballhead?

    • @PromediagearPMG
      @PromediagearPMG  7 лет назад +2

      Yes, pretty much Manfrotto has a universal way of mounting all the clamps to their ball heads so our kit will work with it.

      Yes it does, add the optional locking pins when you order so that the clamp doesn't twist/turn.
