Pacific Heavy Ensemble is a musical group at University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music, dedicated to playing heavy metal music that connects with the classical and jazz worlds. It consists of a 50 person band, orchestra, and choir.
The goals of this ensemble are to further diversify the musical experience offered at the Pacific Conservatory, expand the musical pallets of the students involved, and to shift the negative perception many have of heavy metal music.
