CHEVYYYYYY Literal day one 😁 But I don't blame you! They've really, truly nailed the S24U. It's going to be hard to top, and is going to be a great phone for quite some time (outside of the battery naturally degrading over time) Blessings to you also! 😁
@localblackman427 LBM, the 🐐! Haha, great eye! That is most certainly coming and in the works right now 😈... After I reset my Macbook because it has a glitch that causing it to endlessly copy files unfortunately 😐
Happy new year! I missed your content! :) I used to use S23 Ultra but last year, I opted for the S24+ because the rounded corners and smaller size were much more comfortable for prolonged daily use. I miss the S Pen sometimes, though!
Happy New Year, Geologic! Thank you so much and it feels good to be back 😊 I love making these for you guys! Theres a lot in the pipeline! I don't blame you for opting for the easily usable S24 Plus size! Do you think you'd switch to the 25 Iltra for the Pen again? 24 is honestly still a great phone!
Awesome video, as always, David. You talked about what helps you with your work using the device, which is one reason why getting a phone makes sense. A smartphone should help make everything easier. Samsung has nailed it with the S23 and S24 series, and I hope the S25 series and beyond will continue this.
Thank You so much, Uncle Drew! I 100% agree, the phones should be complimenting our day to day and making things easier for us! How did you feel about the 25 reveal? Upgrades 🤔
Great video. Just switched from the iPhone 15 to the s24 ultra. Waited to see about the s25 ultra, and it seems there were some drawbacks, and this one was cheaper, so i decided to get this phone. I absolutely love it. I've always kept good photos and google keep because im a very hybrid-type person. I randomly get the itch to go to apple, and then I miss my samsung along with its many features
S25 series will be in a few hours. I am curious with the S25 Slim but I also prefer the slight rounded edges on the new S25 Ultra. I will be choosing between the two mentioned.
I actually have not yet seen the event! I have been busy, but there's a lot to cover there! Thank you for sharing your insight! I will keep the design in mind!
Im a fold user. I absolutely love my fold 6 but the s24 ultra is an amazing phone, i just cant let go of the one handed useability and the big screen of the fold. Once youve adjusted to using a fold its very hard to go back
Wow! Thank you so much! I really appreciate that 😁 I enjoy making these videos for you guys, so I'm glad it could be helpful and hopefully an enjoyable watch!
@danwillmann9193 Hey, Dan! Great question! For my personal, day to day use cases, the Fold 6 wins out for me! I just love having a mini-tablet in my pocket at a moments notice for a ton of different reasons (work/leisure) and its helpful every single time. One handed Fold 6 use is good! I'd prefer a wider screen, but it is good one handed! But even though I prefer the Fold 6, the S24 Ultra is definitely the "better" phone across the board for most people I would imagine. Better cameras, battery life, built-in SPen. Both are great, though!
@DavidAVelez1 Thanks for the reply! I read a lot on the go and I could see the inner screen being great for that and emailing or working on Docs too. Let's face it, one-handed use has its place... Quickly do something Android Auto cant while sitting at a stop-light, Samsung Pay, etc.... but, I'm torn because like you said, the S24 is a "better phone". I'm really torn but your feedback helps me to make a decision. Thanks again!
@@danwillmann9193Both are good it just depends on how you use your phone. I preordered the violet S24 Ultra but ended up trading it in (and added money) after 7 months to get the silver Z Fold 6. If you are heavy into multitasking and prefer a larger screen, Z Fold 6. But if you are a photographer or loves to take pics/videos and doing social media, S24 Ultra. Both are good and have their own uses but the main reason for me is bcoz this is my first foldable and no issues so far. And maybe bcoz I have small hands which is why I prefer the narrow fold over the Ultra.
Great content. On my s24, ultra is getting 12 to 13 hours of screen time. But I only have had it for just over 2 weeks. As for other stuff, multitasking on the s24 ultra is superb. My wife had the s21 ultra with the rounded corners. She has the s24 ultra as for the difference she really can't tell the difference. She says the s24 ultra is clearer. I've had the note10+ all the way through the s23 ultra. The s24 ultra to is there best phone they made till this date.
Hey David. Having a tough time deciding/obsessing over S25 n S25+. Not a fan of big phones but they do have many benefits. U think a pop socket or something like that would make S25+ more of a one handed friendly phone? Thanks if you have time, or anyone else.
Hi there! I can definitely understand that point, and great call mentioning the Pop Socket! I have seen a few of those in the wild on Galaxies. I think the ones that are rings are best because they lay flat against the body, don't take up space and aren't heavy. Very easy to just put your finger in the ring when needed. The S24/S25 also have good one-handed software features that help especially if you download Good Lock!
It is weird. In every battery test I see, the iPhone 16PM always beats the S24U by an hour or more SOT. The same tests have thermal measurements, and the iPhone is always the least hot. So it is difficult when I see these videos with no testing and claim something else. All the AI stuff is on most phones. The S24U camera system is top-tier but not the best, but more than good enough for an average user like me. I have the S24U, and it is a great phone, though I do not use DeX or the S-pen. If it is not Exynos, I will buy the Plus version in the future. It is about £300 cheaper, so it is a better value for my use case. But I prefer my iPhone as my main phone.
Hi, Andy! I'm sorry, you are aftually 100% right! I didn't realize, but I did mispeak. My Iphone, on average, does get more juice in a day than the 24U, though not by a suuuuper drastic difference in my experience. Maybe an extra 30 minutes at most. For Thermals, that I would say holds true on my end still where the 16PM still gets warmer in my experience. And yes! For most people, the cameta system is going to be great. IPhone is still better for point and shoot, and in most video situations, but the S24U is no slouch. But 24 definitely wins in Zoom. That makes sense to get the Plus if you don't use the Pen! And Dex is great, but I agree I don't use it. IPhone is definitely an all around great phone and I 100% understand why most people use it as their main!
Thank you, man! The S24 Ultra is great and has a lot of helpful one-hand usage features that make it more accessible with one hand. But the 24+ is still a great phone also! Easy to handle
S24 Ultra: split screen, clipboard, install the applications you want. Superfast charging. Fantastic battery life. Those who know how to adjust the battery consumption and the camera have no reason to worry. iPhone is great, but every year it's the same thing. The day Apple brings what Samsung has I would consider switching. Until then. Samsung!!
@Mr.Anthem AHHHHHH. I didnt mention splitscreen and multitasking on purpose because everyone knows that already, BUT the clipboard thing drives me NUTS on IPhones. Why can we only keep one thing copied?! 😆 Great call, thank you for mentioning that!
Unfortunately one of the things apple has that samsung doesnt is quality control. 2/2 of my s24 ultras failed in that department. Switching back to iphone even tho samsung os is vastly superior
@@lil_nginya Wait, really?! Did I miss the unpacked event? I just got out of a session, haha. Same Cameras as the 22 is interesting... 🤔 Even though those took great pictures also. Perhaps software enhancements?
I bought this phone in May, and so far it has been giving me overheating problems all the time just by watching RUclips videos like right now and using Google wallet, yeah those basic apps. I've sent over 60 comments on Samsung members and to Google directly through RUclips and the play store. More than 6 months later it hasn't been fixed and obviously overheating means extreme battery drain so my experience sucks, leaving aside other things like how horrible the skin texture looks with the front facing camera or ram management that always completely reloads TikTok, Instagram and Twitter after short period of time. My 15 pro max isn't perfect either but it's way more stable and doesn't have these kind of extreme bugs that don't get fixed. When I renew my phone in 2 or 3 years I'll consider staying with apple or moving to a different brand except Samsung if android 15 doesn't fix these problems
Oh shoot! Im so sorry you've been having those issues with your 24U, that's really a shame! It's genuinely been a smooth, un-buggy great all around experience for me so far. I'm really sorry your experience hasn't been great! I don't blame you for feeling inclined to go elsewhere
Great video, but the Beagles gear has to go!!! JK best of luck to your team! As a lifelong Cowboys fan I would usually hope for a meteor strike during a Fleagles vs Beltway Bandits Playoff game but I'm trying to be nice.
Hahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I saw the Ravens in your profile name and thought that was your team. I greatly appreciate you being nice 😆 You guys had a fluke down year. You'll be back in playoff contention again next year just like you always are. Just please don't draft Abdul Carter, Tyler Warren, or Jeanty.
I sold my s24 ultra after about 6 mos, kept my s23 ultra instead. The flat screen was nice but cameras not so much especially the downgrade to 5x optical zoom.looks like the s3 will be my last S device for quote some time since the 25 will be the same recycled crap except they ruined the design with rounded edges
Honestly the biggest problem IMO with the S24 Ultra (Same with all the Samsung phones) is that it sucks at taking pictures of moving people/animals/objects, etc. Crazy how my Pixel 8 Pro can take a pic of almost anything and it'll 9 times out of 10 not come out blurry. My S22 Ultra/Z Fold6 however are the complete opposite.
Thanks for this great review Dave. Qualitative tech feedback as always in your channel 👌🏾. @EverythingEvo, Fully aligned with your point of view ! However I'm not a professional and maybe this constraint could be manage directly using the Pro mode. Cheers guys
I've had luck with the burst mode. I switched the recording when hold the shutter button, back to burst mode when holding the shutter button and I always get several good shots of my kids when they're moving. It has helped my gf too. Not saying that's the answer, but it definitely helps compensate for moving pics.
