- What a Crazy fun session!!! Huge thanks to my bash Brothers for braving the storm for another action packed Mega pit group mud bash. The M2C chassis brace did absolutely fantastic. Super simple direct fit durability upgrade for guys who don't want to worry about busting their chassis with harder use. Unfortunately, my new Vitavon top brace cracked at the upright support arms. Definitely a disappointment. We'll see if theirs a better solution. Thanks to my son Andrew for making it such a fun day in the rain and Fast Track Hobbies in Rocklin, CA for the killer service!!!
Heads up guys 👀. Discovered my Vitavon top brace had actually cracked both sides when washing my rig off at home 😝. Pretty disappointed to be honest. First Vitavon bit I've had completely fail. It cracked in the same area I'd cracked my stock plastic before. Wanted to warn everyone before you run off an order one. Hopefully we'll see a better solution soon. It's a complex shape that clearly undergoes significant stress, but plays a critical role in protecting the chassis and front bulkhead. 🍻

Yeah it was more fun than I expected Brother 😜. I thought the wind would be harsh, but it never picked up much. The temp was actually nice, just sloppy muddy wet during the heavier rain cycles 😂. It was challenging but super fun too. We'll definitely have to get back out there with blue skies and the mega ramp soon 🚀🚀😎💪👊👊

Can you please explain how to fit Arrma 8S Backflip tires on the XRT? What do I need to make it work? Thank you for the amazing video!
Thanks Brother 🤗. Unfortunately the Backflips will rub the steering links and upper arms if put on with just wheel nut adapters like Hot Racing makes. The best way is to run M2C Racing +15mm axels combined with their 24mm hexes. Perfect offset with plenty of clearance and great stance 👌. Maan what a sick bash. I'm super late to the party been super busy but so worth the wait. That was a brutal ramp kisser but honestly what a tank. Andrew's fireteam is looking great. I'm really starting to think about converting an older build of mone to an xl.is there a larger c10 body or is it just riding the body closer to the ends? Andrew is digging his FT and now he knows how to do a proper wash and lube to keep her running right for next time. Proline makes a long bed C-10 that fits pretty nicely on the K6s XL. yoo rich i love ur videos man. i have an xrt with the same motor combo and it was getting quite hot on 26/35 gearing. i was wondering what ur temps are like? kinda curious how ur getting away with running even higher gearing hahaha
Thanks so much Brother 😜. My temps have been good. Hottest I've gotten my motor is 140's F. That's running with the 8s Backflips. Really depends on weather, tires, driving style...etc. We'll see come summer time. 🍻

Thank you Brother 🤗. I've had my share of rough hits and utter carnage through the years 😱😂. The biggest thing is not getting discouraged. I always learn from my mistakes, even when I occasionally repeat them. Most damages are caused by driver error. Just got to own it and keep having fun 😍

Maybe traxxas should just continue with doing alloy chassis like the sledge. You got a full sandwich chassis. Layers of plastic,screws and now alloy.
Traxxas couldn't meet their profit margin that way. Until then, we'll just keep upgrading these rigs so they don't grenade into pieces from harder bashing 🚀🚀

Silly question maybe, but how do you treat your bearings (hard to get to ones too) after a wet ol bash like that? Wicked run, cheers!
That's a great question Brother 🤗. I always spray my rigs down thoroughly right afterwards. Then I spray on a 50/50 mix of water and Simple Green and let soak for several minutes before rinsing again. Then I shop blower dry and air compress the bearings, joints, electronics, and crevices. If it's cold/wet out, I often use my space heater to dry out hidden moisture from my rigs too. Lastly I spray all exposed bearings with WD-40 Silicone spray and then run my rigs briefly either on a stand or in the street. If doing disassembly or other maintenance, I use bearing oil. I should add my diff cases have ample amounts of marine grease to help keep water from infiltrating the gear boxes. 🍻

Nice run rich. Quick question. I know your a hobbywing expert well kinda right lol. I just received a replacement max 6 from them and plug it into my xrt has stock motor ans traxxas Receiver. Only the steering works. Very weird I cannot get throttle out of it. It worked for a Quick sec then shut off. Esc just blinks red. It's brand new you think it's the motor or like a faulty esc?
My guess is the stock reciever or controller is the problem. Id try a different one and recalibrate the controller to the ESC using the throttle setup. 🍻
@richduperbash2966 Thanks rich yeah I tried my dumbo X6 Receiver and controller. Still no Throttle very wired and the motor is fine plugged it in to my spectrum esc works no issues. I think they gave me a bad unit. Already got a RMA on it 👍
I need some new tires for my sledge. Copperheads or backflips?
Both should work great, but I prefer the Backflips. They turn better at speed and have better overall traction due to tread design. 🍻
@@richduperbash2966 thanks! Just ordered some Fireteam tires for it. Hopefully they are good too. A good friend of mine, Rocky (Thunder RC) well, you know him😂 used the FireTeams on the Sledge. Seems pretty good 👍.

How you not broke your rear diff ring gear? I drive that way and my rear ring gear won’t last for 10 minutes
I did actually have to replace 2 ring gears until upgrading to the Hot Racing gear cover (same one as XMaxx). The stock covers are super weak. Once cracked, the ring and pinion starts slipping on harder throttle until it's toast. Other problem can be a cracked upper bulkhead. Sometimes you can't tell it's cracked until fully disassembled.
I can not find the braces from M2C and from Basherqueen - they are not listed on their websites !? Any advise ?
Here's a link to the M2C Racing chassis brace. All XRT parts are listed under "XR Series". Traxxas has serious copyright issues and little appreciation for all the aftermarket companies that actually help them sell units 😝. It's stupid, but that's why the upgrade parts don't have clearer descriptions for each model. I'll try and link you to the braces. 🍻

The best simple upgrade is replacing the diff cover with a Hot Racing one. It's the same as the XMaxx one and won't crack or flex allowing the gears to strip 🍻

@@nathanwilkening this is a private quarry I got invited to bash at in El Dorado County. We often bash in Sacramento or Lincoln, but all our spots are flooded out at the moment. 12 Bridges behind Walgreens east of hwy65 has some cool terrain and mounds. Let me know if you find any cool spots up the hill. 🍻

Need your opinion…M2C 1292 REAR MOTOR SUPPORT… needed for HW1100kv motor or is it designed for 800kb etc…?
I'm running it now with my 1100 5687. I definitely recommend using it or some other form of endbell support, especially if you like doing bigger jumps. 🍻

What do you have supporting the rear of the motor. I bent the MountZilla pretty bad. Want to avoid that.
I was running a home made endbell support, but switched to the direct fit M2C stacking end bell support. Think I showed it in a recent XRT video, but forgot to mention it this time. Let me see if it's on the website. So far it's been awesome 😍. I'll link you when I find it. Update... not seeing it, thought it has already been released 🤔. Gonna check with Mitch and Avery tomorrow and try and message back 🍻

That top brace cracking is such a disappointment… its pretty expensive to be breaking that fast. And there isnt really any other options
Yeah I was super bummed to find it busted at the house 😝. My guess is it's a cheaper grade of alloy. Hopefully we'll see a solid solution soon. 🍻
Man I can’t find that brace on mc2 website
This is a prototype brace Logan 🤗. Once it's passes the testing phase it'll go into production and be available on the website. Testing usually takes a few weeks depending on the part. This is the only way to ensure parts don't need tweaking, modification, or refinement before going into full production. 🍻
