You can anodize it yourself. Anodizing is incredibly simple.

I had the m2c one definitely needed but i've got an xmaxx now and have been thinking about bash braces but does the xmaxx really need one?

It's been super strong. There are a few scratches and marks on it, but it's still perfectly straight. 👍🏼
