To me, PM is like Charlotte Tilbury. They both release the same shades/products over and over in different packaging.
Yup. They keep releasing the same ole reddish browns, tans, champagne shimmers, with one or two pops of blue/purple/green. It’s so ridiculous 🙄 I don’t know why people keep buying these same recycled shades

She did do a holiday palette last year (actually 2) but they were 9-pans with 2 blushes. I didnt get either of those, because I had all the blushes. Great looks, Steff!

I stopped buying PM holiday palette because they just look the same every year. I will still buy the Mothership palettes. My issue with indie brands are that their stuff are mostly made in China, and I don’t use makeup, skincare, and food products made in China.
This is the first time that she's made the big palette in Italy.
I’ve seen soo many people say that PM is getting poopy for the price so I love this honest review!

This large palette looks really nice, I like how colourful it is with the shimmers, it is much better than last years one that wasted space with the blushes, I like the green duo palette she released as there aren't many green shadows around

I believe she is not longer behind the brand! I feel at some point if they don't change something,they will go bankrupt, people are already super disappointed,at least is what i've seen towards them lately!

Thanks for reviewing this. Do you know if this palette was made in Italy? I know the holiday palettes are usually made in China but a couple of creators said this one was made in Italy this year.

I bought a Mothership pallete years ago on her good sales - which I'm not sure if she does anymore. But i didn't care for the consistency. Since then I've purchased face palettes which were incredible, and the 5 pan pallettes that were incredible. I've heard this formula is like those 5 pans too.

I will end up having this palette but only bc my husband buys them every year for me for Christmas. I don’t think it’s as pretty this year as years past but bc it’s a tradition for us, I let him buy it lol. But if not for that, I don’t think I would have bothered honestly

I agree, I have a few things from Pat but the colors are basically the same and for the price I can get indie brands and be wowed every time. Plus supporting an indie brand makes me feel like I’m helping others as well as getting phenomenal products.
It’s a nice palette, but yeah, just way too repetitive.
16:10 I picked that one up in tj maxx.
It’s nice, but I have to force myself to use it in a capsule eyeshadow rotation because it’s so shimmery.
Though the shimmers were pretty, they aren’t that different from many others.
I feel after the motherships, the expectation for her releases is very high, but a let down.

I have a mix 6 PMG eyeshadow palettes but I dont use them as much. The mattes are powdery for me, lots of fallout. Some of her reds and pinks irritate my eyelids. So I decluttered 2 of them. That said I'm always interested in watching reviews on her latest releases.
I’ve heard soooo many people say that about pm holiday palettes. They usually say “they are really good/nice, but I don’t reach for them.” And that’s exactly what has happened with mine. Idk what it is about them. Like I really like it too. But I just never want to use it lol. I think everyone should give one a try but there’s no need for a new one every year unless you actually to use it all the time.

I love it but wish they had a bone shade. She does too many pinks for me. 2 of those mattes look basically the same. Why not give us a lighter bone to tone down the darker shades.

I definitely won't be picking this up. I feel like Pat McGratch constantly releases the same things in different packaging and I think that, though her quality can be really nice on her shimmers, I feel like it's to the point we're paying for the name and not the quality--especially since Indie brands do it better than anyone else.

Thanks for reviewing this year's holiday palette. It's a pretty one, but I have these shades from the brand. I didn't get last year's either. No MTHRSHP release this year. The last one didn't have special shades but had the same $$$ price point. The brand is slipping into bland. 😢

I liked this palette but I’ll wait for a sale. I stay at my Dad’s for two weeks of every month so an all purpose palette makes sense. I’ll just leave it there.
Thank you for the review! I have 4 of her holiday quints from 2022 and 2023 so I think this one is redundant… also, there are repeat shades like the silver that’s also in one of her quints. Which is a fantastic silver I must say!! I adore the quints, it’s made in Italy so the quality does not disappoint. But yeah it’s not unique at all! Always the same matte shades as well.
The quint from last year with the burgundy matte and green shimmer is the most unique I have from Pat. So I think I’m going to pass on it, maybe if Pat gets a good sale haha.

Indie is the way to go!
This is not a knock at anyone, but i have never really gotten the hype behind PMG. The price for standard shimmers is so high. I would rather stick with my indie palettes (i know PMG is probably considered indie, i mean smaller brands) with the special shades and more mattes. I prefer fewer shimmers
The rumor I’ve heard is Pat is no longer the creative director for the band 🤷🏻♀️ I remember when she first started her brand and they were single shadows in a bag with gold confetti. I’ve never had anything PM because I always thought that it was overpriced and nowadays it’s to repetitive and expensive for what you get. Hard pass for me. Appreciate the review.

I have 3 mother ships and a couple of holiday palettes . Even your beautiful looks doesn't make me want to pick this up ..haha ... Pat's brand has become so repetitive. I wish she hadn't of sold out . I am not sure how much say she has at the brand anymore ....

Pat McGrath keeps recycling the same reddish brown shades, tan shades, and champagne shimmers 🙄 How ridiculous. I got a palette at TJMaxx about a year ago and I took it back because it was so similar to the one I already have

Ok I am NOT a PM fan I think she’s super over priced. These shades appeal to me but it looks like shadows just on a magnetized palette. Super underwhelmed with the packaging 😑
