I think it's ironic that the substances that do all this is called Adam and Eve. Rapture is a place free of religious influence, yet here is a Genesis pun straight from Christianity
Yup lol! Plus, you have a place called Eve's Garden as well.
Yeah its almost like the developers intentionally named them that for that exact purpose.
Plus a lot of places are named after greek mythology

You know, for a man who's completely against the idea of kings and gods, rapture is built with a lot of religious references.

@@blaster23456 I think he had a God-like complex. HE's the one that built Rapture, not God. HE's the one who was going to create a Utopia, not God, etc.
blaster23456 Reminds me of Empedocles, He was a philosopher from Sicily in 430 BC. He jumped into Mount Etna which was an active volcano Because he thought he was an immortal god.
TheBioshockHub He definitely had a bit of a god complex, in fact when you’re in Hephaestus he calls Jack a parasite looking up at ‘the face of god!’ pretty much implying that he sees everyone else as beneath him and himself as a god like figure.
I have a question that probably an oversight by the devs, why did they keep bees in rapture, like they were basically stuck in the apiary room in the farmers market, were they allowed to roam around Arcadia at certain times or something to collect pollen for honey?, also speaking of plasmids, the insect swarm plasmid, does it allow your body to physically create the bees, or does it only allow you to control bees that are already in the air
Probably for the honey and to pollinate Arcadia, that would be my guess.
Well, in the game the bees just appear, though I am guessing that realistically you can just control them and they procreate with the queen inside of the beehive in the user's hand. They're most likely just there for pollination.
I'm convinced (I may be wrong) that the bees are shown to emerge from blisters in the users skin.

That's a very good time honestly. The only thing I could probably think of it to skip through all the enemies that you can.

It was confirmed that the true source of Adam is a bio-mass that lives in a trench under Persephone. The slugs feed off of it, which is how they have Adam in them. You can even see the bio-mass in Bioshock 2, and its a bright glowing light.

Columbia's Vigors don't seem to have the same negative side effects as Plasmids. Then again, they're also not quite as powerful as Plasmids either.
They were supposed to, but the concept was cut unfortunately.
Yeah, Devil's Kiss can't even melt snow. And I need to chuck three pr four of it to kill mobs on Hard, when I can do the same with two snaps of Incinerate
I think they were new enough that the bad side effects hadn’t become obvious. I think the lunatics in Comstock House are the resulting splicers
rocketprime But the over drinking side effects are worse.
Don't vigors use 10x as much ADAM to create though? With that amount, the effects of genetic deterioration wouldn't show for a long time.

This makes me wonder... How did Jack Ryan avoid the negative effects enough to live until his old age? He was loaded up with enough ADAM to supply a small army of Splicers, even in the Good Ending.
I presume it has something to do with having Little Sister daughters.
To be fair Jack was genetically modified from the moment he was just an embryo. If I'm correct, technically he's only 4 years old but has the body of a fully-grown adult male. His genetic modification at a young age could be a factor into why he isn't mutated like most splicers.
That was really helpful, I mean I know how ADAM works, I just don't know how it processes. Thanks BioshockHub and I loved the video can wait for the next one.

From your videos I found out that you could get a camouflage tonic. I never used the camera really. But since I'm playing survivor mode I'm giving it a try. Thanks for the content
I always assumed Eve was refined/processed Adam that you would consume regularly in order to prevent withdrawal symptoms, once you've started splicing. The assumption is that ADAM cannot be consumed in its raw form and once you do consume a plasmid (i.e. Electrobolt) there would be no need to consume it again, so instead you just take Eve. Of course, there's no solid confirmation of this in the games, but it makes sense

I'll be doing my best moving forward. The only pictures/illustrations that were available were the Slug, ADAM Vial, and EVE Hype, which I put on the thumbnail. But I completely understand where you're coming from.

soo ive been playing bioshock 2 recently and i cant switch weapons like you do in your background gameplays

You can hold R1 if you're on Playstation to bring up the weapon wheel and you go to whichever weapon you want to use. Or, you can tap R1 to quickly switch to the next weapon. Sorry for the late response!

What if Adam stopped you from reproducing? I can see that happening to the Splicers. Like when a male splicer ejects sperm instead of it being white it’s red... weird by the way and I’m not trying to be funny. 😂 Or if a male Splicer got a female Splicer pregnant when she gives birth to the baby, the baby gets heavily mutated and dies due to Adam again I’m not trying to be funny. 😂🤣 Just an interesting thought I had in my mind.

Do the powers you use in Infinite have a similar origin to those of Rapture?
Basically yes. And it isn't a spoiler, so no worries. You basically find out that Fink and Suchong shared work and research through a tear. While Rapture used the plasmids with a needle, Columbia had drinkable ones.
TheBioshockHub On top of that, Columbia used “salts” rather than the slugs. This difference was partially what caused the difference in the behaviors of the users of the substances.
@@TheBioshockHub Yeah, I saw in the Infinite DLC that they were planning to use needles, because it was so much cheaper.

@TheBioshockHub I was thinking about where and when Bioshock 4 could take place. Here's my idea: a secret city built deep underground in Antarctica. which started construction in the late 1930s by the Third Reich as a fallback point in case of defeat. It housed some of the greatest minds of the era as well as around 100.000 German civilians. But in the following decades the city would expand and eventually through drilling and mining they discover pockets of a certain red liquid...Adam. Seeing the effect of this liquid the generals and scientists would begin mass manufacturing a new wonder weapon....Plasmids. That's all I've got for now:)

It is. They modified it when turning it into Eve, which give it the blue color.

Kind of. Columbia interacted with Rapture somewhat, the most of which was Vigors and such by refining Plasmids.
Songbird was modeled after the Big Daddies; but it was built for flying, instead of swimming.
Songbird is a Big Daddy in the loosest since.
