TARDISELLIOT TRAILERS I know it's difficult to include more of him. One thing that leaps out in interviews is how much MacQueen is really glad to play a more villainous role like the Master, compared to his usual comedic ones. I hope he does get more serious roles on TV in future (to make MVs with his Master easier to make). Anyway, cheers again for including him at all, and fantastic video.
Doctor Who Nerd Alex MacQueen plays the Master in the Big Finish audios. He's an incarnation that takes place between Eric Roberts and Sir Derek Jacobi, and has mostly been in stories with McGann's Doctor, specifically the Dark Eyes series.
My favourite incarnation has to be MacQueen. I'm sorry, but the moment I heard his Master in just one story, he became my instant favourite. I'm hoping Big Finish does a whole lot more with his version in the future.
Caxkj0 oh I know. He's just doues such a great job. I really have a hard time saying wich mater I like the most, they are all so great. But he deffentaly up there. I would love to see him make an appearance on the tv show.
The best Masters in order: Delgado(a good actor gone too soon) Ainley(amps it up a bit from his predecessors) Simm(totally nuts) Gomez(sorry haters, but Missy was deliciously evil) Pratt(extra crispy) Beevees(see Pratt) Jacobi(not enough screen time to establish himself) Roberts(too campy, yeah I said it)
David Wiseman Macqueen: No contest, sorry Delgado, but Macqueen simply portrays the Master so well it is legitimatly scary sometimes, he is scheming, intellegent, and just insane enough that it makes him without a doubt the bbest portrayal of the character Delgado: Brilliant Master, brilliant actor, and he played so well off the Third Doctor. He was very much a Moriarty to the doctor in the way they talk to one another he just makes an incredibly powerful and interesting character. He's the one that started it all, and he fucking nailed it into the ground... In the best way possible. Gomez: I don't understand what people are complaining about, she was great, her portrayal showed her narsiccistic lust for attention the Master has always had. There is nothing romantic between her and the Doctor, The Master is hell bent on getting the Doctor to notice her, which I am a big fan of. Pratt/Beevers: I'm putting these guys in the same catagory because they are supposed to be the same character. Anyway, the Pratt/Beevers portrayal is while somewhat over-the-top in the whole "Rotting crispy corpse" thing, he has a nice of mystery around him which boosts him character, he would however been quite a bit lower on the list if it had not been for Big Finish, I love you guys! Ainley: I thought his portrayal was pretty good for the most part, but he could have been a bit more subtle. The Master is best when he is subtle (The exception to this rule is Missy, but she works for different reason), and Ainley sometimes throws this straight out of the window, but on the whole, was still quite good. Simms: I understand what RTD was trying to do with the Master, but I don't agree, straight up bannana flavoured batshit insane Master doesn't work very well, It makes him look like just some other villian, which is something the Master should never be. The Master should be equal and opposite to the doctor, A little nuts, yes, but not totally marbles on the floor. Roberts: Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg!
***** Simm - Like a time & space - traveling - version of the Joker on some kind of steroid / crack cocaine combination, & without the green hair & kabuki makeup face. He would've preferred to play the Master as pure undiluted evil instead of a cackling nut - case, but TPTB dictated otherwise. Missy - My jury is still out about her. The Pratt / Beevers Master were essentially the Delgado Master, only horribly disfigured / burned / clinging on to the last embers of life. Extra crispy, indeed. Eric Roberts, E for effort, but an American Master - No. Do Not Want.
Nice update on the video. Anthony Ainley will always be my favourite actor who played the Master. Although, I do love Michelle Gomez as the Mistress. "Say something nice." Brilliant.😀
I'm surprised that nobody's commented after last Saturday's shocking cliffhanger! The best part, I've not paid any attention to Doctor Who since Series 9 ended, so John Simm's return was a massive surprise!
You know? I am starting to think that a Multi-Master Story could work. Simm, Gomez - and Jonathan Pryce as the Ainley Master/Tremas Master? After all, in The Five Doctors, The First Doctor was recast and played by Richard Hurndall. I think they could play a "Three Master's" Story.
Haradion Drogon Jonathan Pryce as the Pryce Master from The Curse of Fatal Death. "I've told you before Doctor, these aren't breasts, they're Dalek bumps."
Haradion Drogon Well, I think how similar he was to Ainley was a joke on how similar Ainley was being to Degaldo. I mean, he was cast because he could do an Degaldo impression. That's not all he did, but that's what got him the job.
Haradion Drogon Maybe not with Pryce, but definitely MacQueen with Simm and Gomez - the three major 21st century Masters. Not only would it be so much fun, but I'd LOVE MacQueen to show up in the TV series.
And FINALLY a female master that's what i wanted i relly like having female villains and now the chance of the doctor becoming female makes me more excited for now i will thing of missy as my favourite version of the master so far
It's funny, people freak out about the Master and the Doctor kissing (those of you who think the kinky ten/simm bondage fun was tamer go sit in the corner please :P ) but what REALLY freaked me out about Missy was how she was pretending to be a Robot and was about to kiss Clara lol and then there's that scene just before she kills Osgood... that was all KINDS of kinky lol
Since everyone is arguing about Gomez's role as the Master right in the comments, I might as well put my opinion here. I honestly think the Master's best personality to have is when he is an insane nutjob that you can never predict what he is going to do, while also being a cesspool of what the fuckery. I honestly think that Gomez does that people extremely well, especially in the, "What the Fuck," column.
Something could happen. Maybe not any time soon, but maybe a few years from now. Not only would I love to see them in a multi-Master story, but it'd be amazing if Macqueen showed up, too. He's brilliant in the audios, and really needs an on-screen appearance, I think.
Personally I'm not as enthusiastic about the news; Simm and Gomez beings my least favourite portrayals overall. But I'm clinging onto hope regardless. Now, if Moffat brought in MacQueen Master somehow, then I'd be as ecstatic as you are right now. XD
Hey, after seeing more of Missy in Series 9 since I posted that comment, I think she is awesome and badass. And I hope we will see her again in a future series.
Do you plan on adding clips from "The Magician's Apprentice" and "The Witch's Familiar"? I think the Master/Missy had some good moments. "NOH! AHVE NAHT TERND GEWWD!" Just a question, don't wanna put more on your plate.
When David regenerated into the 11th Doctor, the Doctor obviously recognized he may have been a female (which he wasn't a female) but it reveals that the Doctor knows it's possible to regenerate into a woman, it's just very rare.
Confused Bear nah. This is all just come on since Moffat took over and makes little sence to what was gone before......it was established time lords diddn't change sex, now they can? NAH
Awesome tribute to the Doctor's archenemy. Delgado would be proud.
Love that you included the Big Finish Master...
THE BUMDER!!!
Fantastic that you've included MacQueen, even for a couple of seconds. Love his Master, he's just so damn fun! :D
James Aggas I love Macqueen - he's superb - I just wish I could have featured him more.
TARDISELLIOT TRAILERS I know it's difficult to include more of him. TARDISELLIOT TRAILERS Sorry, but who is that???
Doctor Who Nerd Alex MacQueen plays the Master in the Big Finish audios. He's an incarnation that takes place between Eric Roberts and Sir Derek Jacobi, and has mostly been in stories with McGann's Doctor, specifically the Dark Eyes series.
James Aggas Oh OK then. Thank you, its just that i have not watched the big finish adventures.
Such an amazing Master tribute, well done im so very impressed.
+Thom Thousand thanks very much - pleased you liked :)
Brilliant video and the only tribute to the Master I have found thus far with Alex Macqueen.
Oh i see you put in MacQueen!
oopdoop44 I wish I could have put more of him in but theres literally no footage of him in any serious roles that would fit.
TARDISELLIOT TRAILERS well, audio samples are good! :D it's the thought that counts TEP!
TARDISELLIOT TRAILERS Well you could have put more audio of him to make it easier.
TARDISELLIOT TRAILERS If you'd put in the "This is my Masterplan" speech just as a voice over, that would have been perfect!
My favourite incarnation has to be MacQueen. I'm sorry, but the moment I heard his Master in just one story, he became my instant favourite. I'm hoping Big Finish does a whole lot more with his version in the future.
I agree. He's so twisted and cunning
then you must've loved his two adventures in this summer's Master Trilogy :)
CardCaptorDeadpool I did indeed! :)
Caxkj0 oh I know. He's just doues such a great job. I really have a hard time saying wich mater I like the most, they are all so great. But he deffentaly up there. I would love to see him make an appearance on the tv show.
Anyone else actually like the Eric Roberts Master? He was pretty good in the TV movie, kind of reminded me of the Terminator in a way.
The best Masters in order:

Gomez(sorry haters, but Missy was deliciously evil)

IMO it goes:
Delgado
Gomez
Jacobi
Pratt
Ainley
Beevers
Simm
Roberts
TheMauve I'd put Macqueen somewhere in there but I haven't heard his interpretation yet...
I'd go
Delgado
Gomez
Simm
Beevers
Macqueen
Jacobi
Pratt
Ainley
Roberts
David Wiseman

Outstanding! Love that you included Missy in this tribute, in fact she's probably the most dangerous incarnation I've seen to date.
A great video tribute to a great villain of the Doctor's. In my mind Delgado will always be the best Master.
Totally agree with you, he wasn't just "evil" he was cold, calculating evil that was a match to the Doctor's intelligence.
Nice update on the video. Anthony Ainley will always be my favourite actor who played the Master. Although, I do love Michelle Gomez as the Mistress. "Say something nice." Brilliant.😀
Great trailer man, good job! Yeah,he's the biggest supervillian next to Batman's the joker or Street Fighter's Bison--THE MASTER!
The bald one is from the big finish audi dramas for those who don't know
I'm surprised that nobody's commented after last Saturday's shocking cliffhanger! The best part, I've not paid any attention to Doctor Who since Series 9 ended, so John Simm's return was a massive surprise!
YodaFilms you're lucky, the rest of us all had it spoiled by The Sun
I love this one
This is spectacular. Job well done!
Brilliant job!
Best Master tribute ever!!
You know?

Dalekchris Productions I always took that to be a recast Ainley Master, and not a new regeneration.

***** MacQueen and Beevers are doing a 3 part multi-Master story for the audios! :-D
The Master is the best villain of them all.
This is amazing! Great work
1:36 1:45 1:58 2:02 Personal Favourite Bits
And FINALLY a female master that's what i wanted i relly like having female villains and now the chance of the doctor becoming female makes me more excited for now i will thing of missy as my favourite version of the master so far
***** Still waiting for the Rani, though. Seriously, where is she?
Michael Shan Probably dead... but then again it's Doctor Who, so that wont stop them.
+dang3race2 she was exiled chances are she survived the time war because of the exile
Brilliant Mate!
Cool trailer. I hope that Gomez comes back. She's great as the Master.
She is. She's in the first story.
TheMauve Of Deries 9 I mean...
TheMauve *Series... blah
And then it hit me. They're all the same person. I had always known it, but never really known it.
Since everyone is arguing about Gomez's role as the Master right in the comments, I might as well put my opinion here. I am so here for a Simm/Gomez multi-Master story. I don't think it's gonna happen, but a girl can dream...
Something could happen. Maybe not any time soon, but maybe a few years from now. Not only would I love to see them in a multi-Master story, but it'd be amazing if Macqueen showed up, too. He's brilliant in the audios, and really needs an on-screen appearance, I think.
Looks like your dream's coming true after all.
Wait, what what? Are you serious? I've been traveling the last two days and haven't checked the news! *Googles frantically*
It's true! AHHHHHHH!!!! :D
Personally I'm not as enthusiastic about the news; Simm and Gomez beings my least favourite portrayals overall. But I'm clinging onto hope regardless. Now, if Moffat brought in MacQueen Master somehow, then I'd be as ecstatic as you are right now. XD
I like this one.
Great Great Great Great! Thx Thx Thx! Amazing!
Amazing Video ^_^
I really loved this, - The Blonde Mater... "DoctorWho2012"
Wow that was amazing, never see anything for the Master/Missy, very awesome video. Got any more in the future?
I love this video
And now apparently Sacha Dwhane.
Great job! :D
Fantastic tribute :)
EPIC WHO thanks - glad you enjoyed :)
The Master was created as a Professor Moriarty kind of villain. But now the Master is Missy, I'm not quite sure what to think now.
Hey, after seeing more of Missy in Series 9 since I posted that comment, I think she is awesome and badass. And I hope we will see her again in a future series.

0.28 when tf did that happen. Don't remember him what episode?
Mug Shot
It's a clip I used from another programme to represent the big finish Master. He features with the 7th & 8th doctors
Audio*
Musics not as catchy as it was in first trailer but great job seamlessly adding Gomez in
Midnight_Studios I deliberately avoided using the same track as typically updates have been less well received on my channel. But I take your point :)
Needs more Macqueen Master. Excellent trailer though
Dan Menard I'd love to include more there's just isn't much footage out there that's suitable. My latest trailer has a couple of extra clips :)
If not visual clips, at least some voice clips.
You’ll have to make a Sasha Dhawan now
U.K Rail Vids already done :)
TARDISELLIOT TRAILERS Dhawan is my favourite the energy is a tad better than Simm and Gomez
Coment 100
u can't have a female master.......
keep him male!
What makes you say that?
TheShadowCyberman because thats the charicter. Thats what was established
