There's something chilling about hearing Peter Capaldi's Doctor saying "...but he was too busy burning them" against a shot of Roger Delgado. You feel the history.
Such a Masterpiece to celebrate the Master in all his...and her..forms. Delgado, Pratt, Ainley, Roberts, Jacobi, Simm and Gomez..and I forgot the prisoned one in the 1996 TV Movie version. Master... ly done.
I haven't finished Series 11, but if Jodie Whittaker hasn't regenerated to another form... Series 12 Episode 1 - The Collaboration - The Regenerated Missy's TARDIS lands on Gallifrey... during the fall of Arcadia - If you've paid attention, the fall of Arcadia was the last day of the Time War - Nick Eccleston has been pulled out of his timeline at the last nanosecond to finish some business by the President of Gallifrey whom of which was overthroned by Capaldi and is now taking refuge on Skaro in a desolated area - Jodie is alone and Huon energy is building in the TARDIS. - The Void is cracking by an unknown force and the Judoon are occupied by a group of Plasmavores attacking the Rings of Akkhaten - The dead Missy is pulled out of her timeline too and teleported to Skaro as well - A previous Donna, Sarah Jane Smith, Mickey Smith and Jackie Tyler are teleported into the TARDIS somehow - It seems all of the versions of the Master are in Arcadia... and they're travelling to the barn where Smith, Clara, Tennant and John Hurt are currently - The First Doctor is starting to freeze Gallifrey and has noticed Dalek Caan floating about. He wrecks its outer shell and finds a Time Fissure - Jackie Tyler and Donna start complaining asking who the (something) Jodie was whilst Sarah Jane and Mickey bond and say their hellos. Jodie introduces herself and the TARDIS is pulled into the Pocket Universe which is dying with House - All the Master regenerations (except the Kind Missy) is closing in on the Barn. The Time Fissure appears there and the First Doctor appears in front of Delgado - Tom Baker has started freezing Gallifrey, a saved Davros has noticed and is increasing the Dalek's fire power - Nine and Good Missy is confronting the President sensing who everyone was and where - The Sontarans and Cybermen are now attacking the planet of Barcelona keeping the Judoon still occupied A Plasmavore escaped and has gone to kill a Princess, then fleds to Earth into a hospital - Donna has currently not met the Doctor so she will be a handful. The Huon energy reverses pulling the TARDIS out of the Pocket universe but a piece of House remains on Jodie's TARDIS. - The First Doctor is guarding the Barn where the Doctor(s) inside are heading to freeze Gallifrey. He is held captive and made into a prisoner as bait. As the Master loves Chaos... they kill the First Docto, steal his Sonic Screwdriver and create a Paradox... - Mickey sees Bad Wolf Bay where Rose is currently and then... the Doctor and Rose reunite - Jackie asks to be left in Norway, Mickey asks to be left in the Doctor's Universe and Jack appears in the TARDIS - Dalek Caan goes to help Davros to the space where he collects the 50 planets. Dalek Caan will then go to Melody Pond, or Mels who is still a Psychopath and wants rid of the Doctor. Mels agrees to give Huon Energy to the Empress of the Racnoss, Donna Noble, Jackie Tyler, Mickey Smith, Captain Jack Harkness, Madame Vastra, Jenny, Strax and... the First Doctor - The First Doctor is building energy, regenerates with the unknown help of Dalek Caan and teleports to the TARDIS which is pretty bad because it is travelling with Two Doctors. - The Masters grow Wary and steal his TARDIS which travels to the Void Ship. They enter the Void Ship and go into the Void breaking the walls with the Doctor's Sonic which somehow works - Nine and Good Missy have cuffed the President who says the Doctor has done him wrong and was sure the Master would kill him on the spot which is extremely DUMB. They walk out the building and instantly are seized by... ANOTHER MISSY - The Sontarans and Cybermen are together? They defeat the Judoon and head to Earth. Simultaneously, so does the 13th and 1st Doctor, simultaneously, so does the ship of that killed the Nani of Human-bred Adiposeans. - At this point, everything in Gallifrey is frozen, Davros is continuing to take planets, the Silence are starting to build and... - The Weeping Angels are with Ashildr (IDK HOW TO SPEL SOTRY(_- Series 12 Episode 2 - Why her? - The Weeping Angels are negotiating through Bob's voice with Ashildr, asking for freedom of the Quantum lock and ability to use Quantum Lock if necessary. Ashildr question them and asks why her to do it - Rose and Jack and Sarah are bonding whilst the Doctors figure out what is going on - The Masters have broken the Walls of the Void and discovered and new type of travel... A Temporal Energy that allows Paradox actions but doesn't change anything... why here? Why now? Why didn't anybody think of it? Better yet... who did? - Native Americans are fighting off Silurians who have accidentally woken up. The Native Americans explain their thoughts of origins to their young and there is a hooded figure in the distance of the Nursery Building - Jack asks if the Doctor has his death, which obviously yes but decides to lie. Mels appears in the TARDIS and straight away says Rule 1, the Doctor lies DIS AINT FINIFHDK< SO DONT@ MEH
Oh I REALLY loved how you integrated Missy's final speech into the end of the video. Not only was it poetic to show how it applies to all her previous incarnations, but having that bried glance at Missy surrounded by Daleks reminds you of just how despicable she truly was before the Doctor reached her. Great video!
Thanks for the great tribute to The Master. I remember watching Roger Delgado and John Pertwee go at it on PBS reruns of DW, when I was a kid and I'd forgotten how awesome he was as the original Master. While Missy may (or may not) be dead, the John Simm Master was clearly still alive when he was last seen in that descending elevator. He'll either just regenerate into Missy (who knows? Maybe that storyline was how she began in the first place) or just become someone else. While I enjoyed Jodie Whitaker's first season as the 13th Doctor, I'd enjoy seeing Missy's reaction to the Doctor taking a female form but having her face a totally new Master would be fun too.
I felt like that guy saying "You're insane!" to the Master and then he just agrees by raising his thumbs and nodding his head was the funniest scene of the Master during modern Who
That was superbly done. I really do like like the Master as a the arch-villain in Doctor Who - on tv, but also in the novels too. Missy was brilliantly played too.
I mean, if Missy remembered to have an extra part for the Master's Tardis then it's fairly easy to imagine her planning for her past incarnation trying to kill her.
Huzzamossi nah the actress doesn't want to come back unlike John simm but they did tease that missy is a far future incarnation of the Master maybe we will get another actor or actors/actresses to fill in the gap
When and how did they tease it? Missy says in the beginning of the episode (The Doctor Falls) that she doesn't remember what caused her previous regeneration. Why doesn't she? Well clearly because her regeneration was caused by herself stabbing the Master. The timelines were out of sync, she couldn't have remembered how she regenerated as the Master. In fact from the Masters point of view he was creating Cybermen on the colony ship after seeing the Doctor's TARDIS landing and then suddenly woke up in the his/her TARDIS regenerated as Missy. Which ties in with S8 when the Missy was creating this crazy army of Cybermen, as it is the last thing she remembered doing. If you ask me, it goes from Simm straight to Gomez.
There really needs to be more tribute videos of the MacQueen Master. Big Finish should do a a live trailer with him, just as they did one time with Bernice Summerfield.
Agreed, he's the only enemy the Doctor seems to struggle with. Sure the Daleks hit hard in Series 1 and the time lords used to be untouchable but they've been cheapened by episodes like Hell Bent, Invasion of Time and pretty much every Classic Who Dalek story except for Genesis, Ressurection and Remembrance. But when the Master shows up all hell breaks loose. He wrecked Havoc throughout Pertwee's second season and always seemed to escape at the end. Then when he showed up at the end of the Fourth Doctor's era he killed a good friend of the Doctors wiped out the planet of one of the Doctor's companions and caused the Doctor's regeneration. In the New Series he's effortlessly taken over Earth three times and he only lost because of the Doctor one of those times. The Second time the time lords deposed him and the Third time she simply gave it all to the Doctor.
Roger Delgado - The Twelfth Master Peter Pratt / Geoffrey Beevers - The Thirteenth Master Anthony Ainley - The "Tremas" Master Gordon Tipple - The Fourteenth "Tzun" Master Eric Roberts - The "Bruce" Master Alex MacQueen - The Fifteenth Master Milo Parker - The Sixteenth "Child" Master Derek Jacobi - The Seventeenth "War" Master John Simm - The Eighteenth "Saxon" Master Michelle Gomez - The Nineteenth Master / Missy Sacha Dhawan - The Twentieth "O" Master My head-canon for the Master.
Oli Everett Also there's Mark Gatiss Master from the alternative universe Bug Finish audios and in January Big Finish are introducing a the very first incarnation of the Master in David Bradley's First Doctor stories.
Harry Fitzpatrick But Mark Gatiss is alt-timeline, and I don't believe the First Master in The First Doctor Chronicles is canon. MacQueen was canonised. Besides, this is my head canon.
That's why Said alternative universe Master. I've always considered big finish 65% canon as due to the nature of the show's concept of time travel, the timelines can be reformed or lightly altered from what they originally were. That's how my headcanon
In Big Finish's continuity, Roger Delgado is the Thirteenth Master. He became the Peter Pratt/Geoffrey Beevers Master after an attack from the Alex MacQueen Master.
The master or missy will be back the doctor needs to be kept on her toes. It would be great if master or missy come back to play with the new doctor. We can only hope. Great video package you have made.
I've been listening to a few of the War Master stories with Jacobi, it's a pity he never got to be the Master on tv for more than a few moments because he was a fun Master in his own way.
ManOfTheWeek596 “If someone was going to leave you line that then wouldn’t you prefer if it was one of us instead of the Doctor? Or some random chap off the street?” -The MacQueen Master apologising to the Beevers Master for burning him on Terserus
I'm excited, Big Finish are introducing the very first incarnation of the Master this January. The actor playing him has taken no inspiration from any other portrayals, so we might be in for a treat!
Wow. TE you have outdone yourself this time. I am both getting chills and being assaulted by those damn onion cutting ninjas that so often get me when I watch your trailers. Masterfully done.
The question is, willthe Master be back "after" of "before" Missy? We did not see "Saxon" regenerate so, there are possibly 10 different incarnations between the two of them and while Missy is supposedly so dead she can't regeneratethat never stopped the Master before.
Hopefully Iwan Rheon but I also hope Capaldi. No seriously have you not heard Capaldi's laugh in The Lie of the Land? ruclips.net/video/t8eHJBoWOTg/видео.html
well, it was Sacha Dhawan. And he was brilliant. Likely wasn't right after Missy tho. Because he is mad as a hatter. No sign of the possible goodness Missy displayed. If Gomez took inspiration from Mary Poppins, Dhawan is from the Mad Hatter.
As the Master has been around since 1971 (46 years) they will definitely bring him/her back but Miss would have regenerated. She could have remembered that he would do that and created a shield around her body to stop her dieing permanently but still regenerate.
Love that you've included the MacQueen Master, he's one of my favourites. The Image is elongated, though, don't know why that is, since the ones from classic Who, which are in the 4:3 aspect ratio, are displayed alright (I guess you've cut them). Any idea why the MacQueen ones are like that? Other that that, it's a great video, it's just that that's really annoying for me 😅
Cameron Joseph Videos I mean some of the Master’s plans were really easy to overcome. Especially the ones made by the Beevers Master in the fourth Doctor audios
I’m pretty sure he’s gonna come back Doctor Who with out the Master is like Jerry without Tom although I highly highly doubt it I wish so bad that John Simm would return HES SOOO GOOOOD😭😭😭
Might I suggest that in the future, you include Gordon Tipple? He was actually meant to be his own incarnation (in fact, the producer wouldn't cast Ainley to be consistent with the VNAs), and he was going to have a scene that gave him his own voice and personality before the Daleks exterminated him.
love the trailers you make what is your favorite ravenous 4 masterful moment? Mine is where the roberts master took jabs at the eight doctor for leaving him in the eye of harmony and called him a hypocrite
I didn't understand Missy's last scene, she was easily alive long enough to regenerate, or did the Master purposely disable her regeneration like he did to the 10th Doctor in series 3 "The Last of The Time Lords"
Made In Heaven it suggested that what he did was too much for her to even regenerate. Not the first time tho, Matts regeneration was disabled in let's kill hitter (although that's almost a nil point now the war doctor has been introduced making him the last doctor or the original run)
It could be that when time lords die they do start to regenerate but it fails on them mid transition killing them instantly that's my headcannon anyway
If the doctor falls is the final death of the master it's a pretty good end for the charector if you ask me, and a pretty good episode title to go out in too. But the master will return eventually i'm sure
Has anyone noticed john sim only was able of trying to take over the world twice which is a lot less than most and not once but succeed temporarily twice.
It really just comes down to availability / suitability of clips. I'm a massive fan of big finish and love to reference them where I can. Let's see what Ravenous 4 brings
I hope the Master doesn't come back, cause John Simm's one was right, being shot in the back just at they were going to help the Doctor? It really is their perfect ending.
TARDISELLIOT TRAILERS Ohh OK. So funny story: I kept looking up Doctor Who The Hide and only found a season 7 episode. Then I googled Alex Macqueen the Hide and it was til then I realized it wasn't Doctor Who based😂
Missy is the literal *opposite* of Rani. Rani was a cold person who only cared about her experiments and couldn't care less about the Doctor. Missy on the other hand is obsessed with him and tries to do everything to get his attention.
It's true, I don't denie that. Still, I stand by my point. There's at least some resemblance between Missy and the other Masters. *No* resemblance with Rani.
ponchoman49 That only applies with masters after the perfect Delgado. The original Master's plans were always to grab power and above all, to grab the Doctor's attention. The one he actually gained power, he immediately offered to share with the Doctor and the single time he had the chance to finisht eh Doctor without difficulty, he ran away. Missy is the perfect emulation of that.
"With the entire universe going up in flames. It takes a true genius to make it blaze even brighter."

Thank you for the video inclusions of Alex Macqueen (Big Finish's Master between Roberts and Jacobi) which are particularly impressive.
The new clips of the Master and Missy look epic. Iconic Doctor Who.
I felt like that guy saying "You're insane!" to the Master and then he just agrees by raising his thumbs and nodding his head was the funniest scene of the Master during modern Who

So happy you included Alex McQueen!
always - adore his master. I specifically bought a DVD of the hide to get some decent quality footage this time :)
Money well spent! He's certainly my Master.
He is my third favorite, after Roger Delgado and Geoffrey Beevers
don't believe The masters dead he/she can't be it's in the master's nature to survive
I mean, if Missy remembered to have an extra part for the Master's Tardis then it's fairly easy to imagine her planning for her past incarnation trying to kill her.
absolutely - it's part of his/her charm
Agreed it's probably one of the reasons she found it so funny.

The Master, reborn, and The Mistress, killed by her own old body, the Master lives on!
The Master/Missy is the best villain in DW
Aaro The Wanderer agreed One Hundred Percent! The Master is just such a compelling character!
Agreed, he's the only enemy the Doctor seems to struggle with. They should have kept Missy for number 13 and the season would have had hope.
Thank you for including a nod to Alex Macqueen’s master. He criminally underrated and deserves an appearance on the tv show.
Thank you for this great vid and thank you for including Alex McQueen
This was a SPEC-TAC-U-LAR blend of classic and nuwho! Really well done!

Brilliant as always, so glad you included the 'your insane! 👍🏼👍🏼'

EPIC TRIBUTE - YOUR TRAILERS ARE ALWAYS THE BEST - THANKS AGIN FOR ANOTHER AMAZING TRAILER / TRIBUTE TO WATCH :)
Thanks - glad you enjoyed :)
👍👍👍
This is definitely the best Master tribute in existence
I already miss Missy
Brilliant trailer as always. I am The Master and you you will obey me!
This is great. Definitely going in my favorites playlist.
Oooo that laugh at the end give me chills but good ones 😁😮
Just incredible, best Master's tribute I've seen on youtube so far!

Can I just say I love this so much well done.😀😉
Very nice!
Roger Delgado ftw
The Master, his friends call him The :)
Is it just Me, or does the Master SCARE everyone to death?
I wonder who the next master will be
Hopefully Iwan Rheon but I also hope Capaldi. No seriously have you not heard Capaldi's laugh in The Lie of the Land? ruclips.net/video/t8eHJBoWOTg/видео.html
I know this probably won’t happen but Tom Hiddleston or Idris Elba would be amazing in my opinion.
i wonder that myself for the Master has the same potential as the Doctor.
well, it was Sacha Dhawan. And he was brilliant. Likely wasn't right after Missy tho. Because he is mad as a hatter. No sign of the possible goodness Missy displayed. If Gomez took inspiration from Mary Poppins, Dhawan is from the Mad Hatter.

Thank you for this video i loved it but please can you let me know what you think of this missy amv I made!
When you do an update on this when the master inevitably returns you should include more Big Finish (e.g. James Dreyfuss)
It really just comes down to availability / suitability of clips. I'm a massive fan of big finish and love to reference them where I can. Let's see what Ravenous 4 brings
@@tardiselliottrailers Yeah me too, I was so happy when you included Alex Macqueen and I'm so hyped for Ravenous 4!
And now he burns like the sun once again...I look forward to an update for this video...spoilers
0:00 music?
Details are in the description :)
can you redo the tribute with the new master
Do you like geoffrey beevers master from the keeper of traken and big finish audios?
John Carter Geoffrey is superb, he’s particularly brilliant in Dust breeding, Master and the two masters
TARDISELLIOT TRAILERS is awesome 😇😎😍.
I hope the Master doesn't come back, cause John Simm's one was right, being shot in the back just at they were going to help the Doctor? It really is their perfect ending.
They could bring the Master back without ruining that by inventing a pre-Delgado incarnation. Or maybe bring Alex MacQueen on TV.
Can you redo this video with the new master ??
Matthew Reasheath I’ll wait till the end of series 12 before I do, you never know, he might show up again
Where did u get the clips of Alex Macqueen as the Master? I can't find them on RUclips
It's from a film called the hide and I just put some filters to modify it slightly
TARDISELLIOT TRAILERS Ohh OK. So funny story: I kept looking up Doctor Who The Hide and only found a season 7 episode. Then I googled Alex Macqueen the Hide and it was til then I realized it wasn't Doctor Who based😂
0 dislikes.
Note to self; in the elevator Tardis keep from turning into Missy at all costs !
You won't remember it so it won't be much use
Where did you get the alex macqueen footage from?
Jackal Reviews a film called The Hide
@@tardiselliottrailers thanks.
I'm Missy or The Master. Doctor? Are you reading this, Doctor?
ook
I hope the next master is black or Chinese or asian

The master Is a evil person
I would have preferred that Missy was the Mistress Rani and not the Master but whatever.
Missy is the literal *opposite* of Rani.
Rani was a cold person who only cared about her experiments and couldn't care less about the Doctor.
Missy on the other hand is obsessed with him and tries to do everything to get his attention.
Yeah that's because Moffat wrote the character. The Master never obsessed with the DR before unless it was to humiliate or try and kill him.
