- Procedure to setup the throttle-based harmonic notch by using a feature of the in-flight FFT
NOTE THIS FEATURE WAS DISABLED IN 4.3.4 - YOU NEED TO USE 4.4 OR LATER FOR THIS TO WORK PROPERLY
Greetings Andy. I just want to make sense of the flow of this video. Am I correct in assuming that the steps you are taking are as followes.
1. Perfom first flight and Intial autotune
2. Perform second flight with FFT tune while hovering 60 seconds. FFT then records data automatically
3. Perform third autotune based on FFT data automatically captured by FFT tune from previous flight?
Great video! Thanks. How did you fix the bug?
It.s fixed in 4.4
I have a 920 hexacopter. Will the settings in this video be a problem? Should I change anything (for FFT Tuning) to make sure I'm on the right track?
This feature was disabled in 4.3.4 - would would need to use 4.4-dev to use this feature. It should work fine in 4.4 on a 920 sized copter
@@andypiper5285 With the settings you have laid out? I have 380kv motors and 17" props.
@@Shadowquad the Hexsoon is 330kv and 15" so very similar
@@andypiper5285 Excellent. Thank you!
I'm about to start tuning a large copter. Is it safe to go lower than 50 Hz in the INS_MINHZ?
It should be ok, although I suppose we really should have an option for disabling this on a switch
@@andypiper5285 I flew a test with INS_MINHZ=30 and it went well. But I got an error on the radio that said: Unable to set throttle notch with 90.5 Hz. And the test did not change any parameters. Do you have any idea what I'm doing wrong?
It will mean that the harmonic notch mode is not set to throttle notch - maybe you set it to something else? Try setting it to 1@@botornvig
