It's good to see RCBS hasn't sold their sole and went to China for their manufacturing. I have several calibers of dies and a Rock Chucker press. I just purchased a primer seating die. Keep up the good work.
Enjoyed the tour! Been a fan of RCBS starting back in 1978 to present! Customer service and warranty have been great for the few parts I have had issue with.
I was very pleased to see everything being made in the USA, I'm an RCBS FanBoy from way back. I've been reloading for 50+ years and always wondered how the sausage was made, now I know, Legacy Manufacturing.
Great tour, I bought a reloading collection from a man who was a reloader for 50+ years, I learned on an old RCBS junior press, bought a new Rock Chucker after a few weeks and worked on my reloading for about three years. I thought I would step up and bought a Forster Coax, nice equipment but I missed the Green, sold the Forster and bought a Rebel, RCBS forever. 👍 Thanks Gavin
Gavin looks like a kid in a candy store. I started with an RCBS single stage and a set of Carbide 45acp some 35 years ago - My reloading area now looks like a RCBS showroom. Great products and awesome customer service.
Rcbs has absolutely the best customer service! I've owned the turret press since 2003. Parts and pieces have worn and broke. I've contacted them several times about each piece that has broke, and they have replaced every part absolutely free. I will never use anything else. Thank rcbs!!
Some of my earliest memories are watching my dad reload on his 70s Rock Chucker. Space was limited growing up, so he had a workbench in my closet behind sliding doors. So you could say I grew up with RCBS. It's one of those American institutions I hope never dies.....See what I did there? I reload on a Rock Chucker 4 today. This video make some appreciate why it took them 6+ months to get certain parts I needed back in stock. It's kind of a small factory, and I can't imaging more than 100-150 people working there.
Been there many of time, their customer service is second to none. They are just up the road and is why I use mainly RCBS products, been loading on their presses for 45 years now. Too bad you weren't out a couple years ago when Huntington's Sportsman's Store was still open next door, you could have walked through Fred Huntington's gun collection that was in the back of the store.
Mr. Gavin I hope they rediscover the excellent customer support they once had, especially those in Europe. Due to the very poor support, I have thrown away a ROCK CHUCKER SUPREME PRESS because the cost of repairing it at a machine shop was more expensive than buying a new one. Please forward this comment to the RCBS so I can see their credibility.
Yes rcbs predates all of the extreme antigun policy's of current California. With that said I am surprised they are still there considering most have fled the state with how hard it is to do business there.
it's ironic that such an iconic company like RCBS is in such an anti 2a state. RCBS is quickly becoming the Packard bell of reloading. They make stuff for the entry-level people but anyone serious moves on to better gear like Redding dies, the Redding T7 or a area 419. Where is R&D where is a new product?
Kinda funny they never talk about the "creation" of their press bodies and other steel parts..Wonder who takes the raw materials and cast the actual bodies of the presses? I know WREX products there in Cali does a lot of plastic injection molding but I don't think they own their own steel factory. Would have been nice to see if the presses are cast somewhere in USA or is a foreign made component.
most all "electronic" reloading equipment like a powder scale comes with a 1 yr warranty I don't know of any reloading company that goes much more than that.
No RCBS for me ever. I bought a rock chucker press and it was fitted with an extremly loose ram. I contacted rcbs and after the second email they ignored me after they find out I am not from a US. The press is in a bin and I bought a redding big boss. Never buy any rcbs product in my life again. I had rcbs dies and other tools. I replace them with other brands. All gone now. I dont want a deal with a company who does not stand behind their products. I had problems with Lee press and Lee sent me a replacement part. They only had one question is my address... The parts was sent to me free of charge with international shipping. No Rcbs for me....
Well let's see no qc department. I got a summit press after seeing your single stage press shoot out it was supposed to be the best consentrcity press but my press sucked donkey di@$ hade to shim it everywhere top bottom think I've got straight now but I do not think I'll buy a nother rcbs product rcbs range master sucks primer pocket uniformer sucks primer pocket reamer sucks do have m5000 balance beam its not the best either a little brease and it will not stay still and I mean a little so over a 1000 $ of rcbs shit no thank you it's all crap from my experience
@Ultimatereloader thank you for the update on RCBS. I hope they move out of California soon. Sad that the "history" will be gone but it happened to Weatherby. Sierra and many others. Best to get out before it gets worse.

Thanks to RCBS. Great products, great service. Impressed by the quality and sophistication. And thanks for standing ground in California.
Agree totally!
Good Ol Oroville. So glad I have them just down the hill from me.
Fire update?
@anthonyrstrawbridge black desert now for a lot of the area around Chester. 😢
I was very pleased to see everything being made in the USA, I'm an RCBS FanBoy from way back. I've been reloading for 50+ years and always wondered how the sausage was made, now I know, Legacy Manufacturing.
In my 1/2 Century of experience, RCBS Customer is Outstanding! Thank You!

Machines and tools. Every man's dream🙂
Thank you for an awesome video tour of the RCBS facility.
Im a simple man. UR posts & I watch.

They don’t warranty the charge master any more…

Wow so much going on there! You could be there for days diving into it at. I would love a deeper look at it all
I love RCBS they take care of their customers.
I wonder if RCBS has a patent on that window in the side of the comp seating die.Cause I love that thing. Especially for them 22cal.
Mr. Gavin

Same here. I am from Europe also and they just ignored me with my junk brand new rock chucker press.
It's weird to think RCBS is in California when they're one of the least gun friendly states
California is more than LA, San Francisco and the rest of the Big Five. Nor Cal is a world apart. I could go on.
Was thinking the same thing. I’d say when it started it was a way better place than it is now.
It's worse they haven't taken their business elsewhere. But they do make a terrible product, I'm not suprised
They don’t stand behind their products. Especially the electronic scales. The scales are unreliable!

I love rcbs . Great products

The previous owner, Vista, also owned Weaver, so there's the crossover on the ring & base production will now be phased out, I assume?
“Are those heated tanks?” Camera pans to the steaming tanks

Gavin had to keep his hands crammed in his pockets!!
Rcbs may not have the tightest tolenrence equipment but there customer service is top shelf if you have an issue with something
The thing I'm most concerned with is the 'any voids we fill in with putty'. How big are the voids?
Hopefully they are not filled with Bondo or another cheap product.
All I could think about was all of the older men when I grew up telling me to get my hands out of my pockets.
Yea, know that ,that generation. Dates me
interesting thank you
Didn't they recently been taken over by another corporation?
Hodgon Powder bought them
@bryco32 Oh good, wouldn't want to lose RCBS to a holding corporation that would suck all the money out of them into bankruptcy.
@@Oldhogleg I am glad Vista does not own RCBS either after they went all woke after the 2020 election.
Now do LEE Reloading 👍🏿
My charge master quit working… they don’t cover that anymore.
They don’t stand behind their products. Especially the electronic scales. Mine died and they refused to repair or replace.
most all "electronic" reloading equipment like a powder scale comes with a 1 yr warranty I don't know of any reloading company that goes much more than that.
Did he just say they have voids in their castings.....ohhhhhhh noooooo.
RCBS number one in the world the BEST SCUSI sorry non parlo I don't not speak English Inglese speak Italian and French ciao good morning

Rcbs customer service has declined lately. They never answer the phones. Strange days

1st
Rcbs needs to move to Tx, Wy, Tn or Sc.
They need to go out of business. They make terrible products.
Dude has a area 419 press hes not impressed with rcbs at all
Now they need to move out of DPRCa
What a terrible video. You did a horrible job. I wish this was done by someone who wasn't a complete dufus. Just saying🤷♂️
@Ultimatereloader thank you for the update on RCBS.
I hope they move out of California soon.
Sad that the "history" will be gone but it happened to Weatherby. Sierra and many others.
Best to get out before it gets worse.
