- Mr. Goodpliers takes a walk around 1940s to 80s collector Ford, Buick, Chevy, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Plymouth, Cadillac, and Dodge cars and trucks! Fred's used car lot was started in 1952, and hundreds of unsold, trade-in, and highway towed vehicles remained in the decades after!
This video was shot April of 2023, and many of the cars have been moved out of the trees. Around one fifth of these cars have been sold. Scott, the new owner, can be reached at 620 330 6815. He is only available weekends at this location.
Mr. Goodpliers, I LOVE your junkyard tours. Due to medical and disability BS, I really can't do such anymore. You're bringing what I miss to my laptop screen. I can't do it, but love watching YOU do it. It's satisfying and redeeming. You are like an "extension" to what I wish I could still do. Dude, you ROCK..
This is POSITIVE IMPACT for some us us folks.
I'm 52. Worked on classics all my life. I still can't honestly say, if I love the cars, or the history and stories that each one has with them.
Great video thank you for your sacrificed time and true knowledge of all the vehicles very much appreciated!
My neighbor passed away about ten years ago and he was in his nineties in the family didn't want anyting. Consequently I now have all of his pictures of his first wife and his second wife and his motorcycles and his cars ..... When you live to be in your 90s .. he had lived quite a wild and unique life.... From soldier to cop to business owner..etc
Sad none of the family wants anything
Good you saved some of his possessions.
@@ernielaw yes I knew him a long time having weird in the neighborhood for 45 years.. I had to do that for the log cabin across the street from that lady passed away and she lived there since 1950. Again the family through most of the stuff in dumpster..
@Mr. Goodpliers I truly appreciate your walkthrough videos! I can’t get out there and look at these old cars and trucks anymore like I used to but back when I was 15 up until my late thirties it’s all I lived for. I’m a lot like you! I know so much about so many old cars and trucks because I lived, breathed and studied them since I was a little kid. I’ve always been fascinated by the old classics. I built my first truck which was a 1954 Chevy 5 window when I was 15 years old. My dad drug it home on a trailer as just a body and frame back in 1986. I spent a whole year putting that truck together all by myself with no help. Back then the old ‘47-‘54 parts trucks could be spotted in almost every field and behind almost every barn, shed or garage. They could be bought cheap too. So I saved money, bought and bartered for all the parts I needed and eventually had my first truck running and driving. I drove it all through high school and long after. I wouldn’t trade all the blood, sweat and tears I shed for anything! Much appreciation for your videos! Please keep them coming! Love see what’s still out there!
Super!!
Didn't think any of these old junkyards still existed 👍, many worth a full restoration ✅
I think Easy Jack's - in Junction City, Kansas may still be operating. I haven't been there since 2017 - but it was a large, spread out yard - like this one.
Mr. B. Here ! LOL ! Most young people today asking to use their hands & mines to bring back any of these vehicles would look at anyone of us like we have 12 heads ! I viewed channel that a plain Olds Cutlass S 4 door , 1978 it was a ugly car when it was new , the car itself was in good shape, many have belong to little old lady , no radio - no dents - 260 cid engine . This vehicle was nice to save and use as a daily driver ! Sad to report engine rip out out - then crushed ! The iPhone and many of the devices today has taken away people to use their mine ! Stills of working with your hands mind is slowly being lost .
It's fantastic that you took the time to save those old photos. A lot of people forget that before the digital age, unless you took very good care of the negatives, if something happened to damage your photos, they were lost.
Thanks for bringing us along, that place has all kinds of stuff, Watch out for critters in the cars
Thanks for the tour mr pliers cheers 😊
Back when cars had style
.....and the people did too.
Americans were proud and had a work ethic. That's mostly over now, by design.
You won’t see todays cars being sought after like these old gems!
A reason why I own a 79 custom Ford Bronco ranger.
Classic cars for life! 🤘
@@brucekoster9253Mr. B. Here ! Good Manners !👀👍
Very cool genealogy stuff!
thankyou sir
Thanks for stopping by the channel Brett!
WHAT A WINDOW INTO THIS LADY LIFE
Mr. B. Here ! Thank you Mr. Goodpliers great video ! Part 1 & 2 !
Like walking through a gold mind😮,many classics worth lots of money and memories 😊.thanks for the video.
I like that ol 57 mercury turnpike cruiser
Another fun Mr. GP video. The Jeepster is a '50 or a '51 (leftover '50's were sold as '51's). My dad restored a '50, his pride and joy until he died in '06 so I'll always have a soft spot for those. That blue one looks really complete. The Jeep wagon is a '46 - '49 with the flatter grille and no horizontal bars. The one in It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World was a "50 - '64 with the pointier nose. Take care and keep the videos comin'.
That 50 Olds has the original KS 100 year centennial tag with the Buffalo on the front...I got one in perfect condition.
Oh wow! Cool place and so many great projects! It hurts to see the busted windows. At least the vandals didn't get them all.The 68 Torino at 39 minutes has been there for a while, considering the drivers door open and the big tree.
The Torino is a heartbreaker-I guess you can't save them all😥
Great video, the suitcase was a good find, glad you saved it.
About two years ago, I went to an estate sale and found a whole box full of old 8mm film reels, that I gave $5 for. I have been able to view some of the movies -
but many were too far gone to feed through a projector. One reel had an old school house ( I seem to remember the date was 1942 ) with all the children playing
in the school yard. It was very sad because at this estate sale was also many old photo albums and even a wedding dress. Sad - that there were no family
members or relatives that wanted any of it after the elderly couple had passed away.......kind of what my future holds as well.
Wow that was a lot of neat cars and trucks Thank you for taking us long and thank you for the video
I can't believe you walked by the 55 or 56 Pontiac and said cool Malibu.
He skipped right past a '55 Olds too. I figured it was marked as not for sale or something.
The green Malibu was much newer , a 1978.
Not sure how I overlooked that one - it had the rare factory front bumper guards too!
58 Buick super 4 Dr would've looked killa back in its day with all that chrome...sth Australia 🇦🇺
Awesome tim, thanks
Hi tim so many i love hope some make it back on the road . Cheers mate🇦🇺
Some good stuff in there too be sure!
I have a yard here in north west Oklahoma, lot's of good cars, pickups and parts from late 40s through 70s, between chester, and Seiling, wish you would have time to come film this stuff, almost all of it for sell,
Lots of good cars. The black Bonneville, at the 43:29 minute mark, is outstanding. Can't wait to see what you bought. Those station wagons looked good too. Thanks for making this video.
I like that Bonneville also. Other favorites are the 2 Imperials, the 50 Dodge and 60 DeSoto.
The Bonneville was an outstanding piece here. It has a bit of frame rust, but is a very fixable car
Loved the video , Thank you for bringing back some old memories . Till next time , Stuart in Canada ..
In thet special picture of Buck Owens is he holding his iconic red white and blue guitar....
i had a 1955 V8 RHD 2 door same model as this one 32m58s mark' in New Zealand in 1971 same color
My buddy had a 3spd 4 door Malibu. The Iraqi Taxi. Built for the middle east, the order was canceled, and they ended up in Canada.
I remember those Malibus that were originally destined for Iraq, and they would have been 1981 models. Did he buy his back then?
I see that '59 Imperial. All the Imperial Engines in the 50's and early 60's were balanced and blue printed at the factory before assembly. Usually the 413.
I like the '64 wagon at the 25 min. mark.!!!
like the 68 amc ambasder with a 4speed I always looked at 60-71 cars that could have been ordered with 4 speeds wagons 4 dr post or 4 door ht can be ordered this could be the only one left
Love your videos in Salina!
Thanks for stopping by the channel Blue Eyz!
Plenty of cool vehicles worty of fixing. My favs are the one with more curves and split front windshield. Older pickup trucks too.
Sweet 63 ford Galaxie
The pretty neat small green car at the beginning of the video is a 1960 Ford Popular 109 (Ford Pop), produced in Dagenham, England; did someone save it? Looked okay compared to others in the yard/fields
Wasn't the Popular also sold under the Anglia and Escort names? A long time ago my neighbor had a 1960 Escort. It had the same front end as the car shown here, but was wagon like at the rear.
Another one similar to the Popular was the Prefect.
That lovely blue pickup truck with the work bed and ghost sears markings would make a cool history piece. I don’t imagine many old repair or service trucks from Sears have survived from any era. It would be very cool to clean up and redo the logo for posterity. Not that’s it’s terribly unique as simply a service truck but being one from sears ads a bit if undoubtably unique hometown history to it. Oh and happy you showed a few of the Cadillacs in there, hope to see more of them in future videos too!
Man, that 58 Buick has to be the all time rear chrome winner! 🤯
That little Ford Anglia, I found and purchased one earlier this year from the family that got it new, I sold it on though.
Sorry forgot to mention here in 🇬🇧
58 Imperial time stamp 37:43 now that's a gorgeous piece of art to.
Just like hunting for Easter eggs or treasure chests. Sth Australia 🇦🇺
I like the Imperial
In Australia it’s a ford perfect
Filmed in April!!!! Wow you are a busy man.
I sat on this footage for a bit to give the new owner time to get the deal made and start organizing the vehicles somewhat

You can drive out nature with a pitchfork.
But it always comes roaring back again.
Tom Waits song: "Misery Is The River Of The World" album: "Blood Money" (2002)
The old stock car was a '37 Ford Coupe. It would have been interesting to see the front and if it still had a flathead in it.
Check out the last video from this series, "Out of the Woods": There is an up close walk around of that car
I just watched the last video. It's interesting you mention vintage racing in Iowa. That's where I'm located and I have the remains of a '32 Ford stock car that someday I'd like to get back on the track. That '37 would be a good one to put back together too. @@mr.goodpliers6988
They still have many cars worthy of restoration. I suppose he saved them from being demolition derby cars.
I am looking for 61 plymouth valiant
The first Pontiac is a 54 and the next could be a 53 .
It is hard to see when i cant se the emblem on the trunk .
The first one have the 54 emblem on the trunk .
That yellow 71 F100 could be saved and the green 60s GMC thanks for sharing your videos
That campers worth another look, if that suitcase was in it there is probably more.
I always see the debris from the rats but I never see the rats... We must be quite nocturnal
Last still image was that green Javelin. Looks like work being done to free up the brakes? Did it sell? Were you a starter for it?
Yes I think it sold. I didn't do any work on it
The Catalina wagon "Ambelwagon" was made by Automotive Conversion Corporation, most likely out of Troy Michigan .
Great job on the video. Will the yard stay open ,or is everything going away ?
The new owner is a car guy intending to sell as much as possible to collectors. His contact number is in the video description box
I'd take the Jeep wagon...greetings from sth Australia 🇦🇺 👍
Three window Oldsmobile hardtop very cool ! Lots of good project cars in there and Parts cars to ! Worked for an auto salvage yard back in the day We would go mobile with my bosses friend who was a car crusher we would go to places out in the woods like that yard you’re at ! My boss would tell me don’t ask about me about any of the cars your going to see because none of the cars are coming back to the yard there All going to be crushed ! So sad I call it crush happy all they care about is the metal weight by the ton !
Good cars lots could be back on.
the road again.i need arm rest or both sides for a 41 Ford 2 door
I can understand that you will miss some cars. I'm just a huge Pontiac fan.
Alas, no Corvairs. ;-)
Joe has plenty at the Rust Ranch
They must want way to much for that Torino Talladega for it to be rotting away like that!! should have a 427/428/351 anyhow it's super rare
He had a 1969 GTO Judge that he'd pried at $10k. Someone eventually came and bought it. I'd guess he gave the Ford a similar price tag
The Pinto shown in your parting shots at 48:42 would be '77 or '78 judging from the taillights. The other Pinto shown at 9:23 had the taillights which were shared with Maverick from 1971 to '76. The Maverick used the same taillights for its entire run from 1970 to '77.
Hundreds of vehicles were scrapped out of this place over the winter of 2012-13. One of those was a 1971 Pinto wreck with just 8,000 miles. It had the smaller 4 cylinder, I believe a 2.0?
It would have been good as a parts car.@@mr.goodpliers6988
Very surprised to see a Ford Anglia in the U.S
The days of hoarding 50 plus year old cars out in the element for decades is quickly coming to a close. The remaining decent cars need to go to good homes, for reasonable prices, where they can be stored indoor, preserved, and brought back into shape. Otherwise, these cars are just going to rust and waste away to the point that they will not have any value other than scrap within the next decade. I believe that there are already more existing decent cars remaining than people who are either interested in owning them or financially able to restore and maintain them. If the current cost of living problems continues or degrades, the issue will only continue to worsen, and cars that are in decent condition today will suffer in the coming decades, as prices rise and interests diminish.
Wow thats going to take a lot of work to get them out
They have been organized quite a bit since this was filmed - check back soon for updates!
Please put the new owner’s info in the description box.

It's to believe we die twice on this earth, once of the body and the second when the dead is forgotten by the living.
Saved and preserve it lol
I think that Olds 98 early in the video may actually be a ‘48.
Oldsmobile is sweet, how much is he asking for the cars, is there a price guide?
Забирай обе эти машины в начале ролика🙏🙏🙏👌👌👌👍👍👍💘💘💘🔥🔥🔥
The stylists who designed the grill for the 1959 Imperial shown at 37:58, must have had their eyes on the '53 Chevy grill. {See the similarity}
But the 59 Imperial design was absolutely over the top. When you see it in nature you are nearly scared this front might eat you! A friend owns one. They are still underrated and most were destroyed in demolition derbies. They were very interesting cars. I am A GM guy but the 57 to 60 Mopars were unbelieavable,
Mr good pliers is there any chance that this place can reorganize they could make a lot of money smash the newer stuff reorganize the old in a open field remove all threes in one area and make out like bandits in my opinion sir great stream sir
It's happening right now - look for an upcoming video showing big changes and progress that direction!
Buy the Torino Talledega. With your storage yard you can lose. Find another one. Impossible?
Before you showed the full size Pontiac grand prix. To your left I saw the quick image of a Ford pinto front end. Is this vehicle available?
Good eye, I wouldn't have noticed. That yellow Pinto shown at 5:23 would be a '74 or '75 judging from the bumper and grill. the white Pinto shown 4 minutes is likely a '74 as it doesn't have spaced lettering Ford script. The other white Pinto at the end of this video is a '77 or '78, new hatch and new lights.
32:54 ,the Ford unibody pick up, couldn't you say that's like a Ranchero ? Ranchero was a one-piece body , so is this truck. Just saying.
No Mustangs. So, that's good. But to bad. I would be interested if there was.
There had been some. One was even a fastback, but it was in bad condition - pretty mangled up from a highway wreck decades ago
@@mr.goodpliers6988 they are all worth saving. Or at least saving for parts. Rather than being recycled into a Toyota. Lol
I wish that I had that charger
Are they selling the 64 Chevy long bed? If so how much? Thank you sir!
I have put the new owner's contact number in the video description box
i want a recppn.
at 25:19 -> which car company is this? never heard of.... !!!???? thanks
Such a shame about the Talladega. It might still be worth the trouble...(?)
How about a tour of Rusty Acres?
......Rust Ranch.....
There have been some big changes happening at the Rust Ranch, with organization in mind. I'll try to catch some footage there this winter when the foliage dies off
That Willy’s is a 51
How much 4 the will ya wagon??
Will those old 60s chevy car tilt steering columns fit in the 60s gm trucks?
I'd say they're quite a bit different. Your best bet may be an aftermarket column
Are the other pintos available for sale?
During the video, he mentioned that this was filmed back in April. The yard may still be open for some purchases. Fred Bilke Auto Yates Center, Kansas
The new owner's contact number is in the video description box
Is the blue 67 firebird for sale
Why they still exists
The yard had some cars crushed for iron over the last several decades, and some sold for projects, but these survived until now
I've seen worse Talladegas being restored
The new owner plans a full restoration at his body shop
im looking for some claimshell wagons
They are really tough to find. What condition and price range do you have in mind? I have one 1972 Kingswood Estate parts car and two Oldsmobile drivers. Those two were the most I've ever paid for any vehicle out of the over 1,000 I've owned in my lifetime
What did you buy
I chose four cars and trucks - next video will show them - stay tuned!
@@mr.goodpliers6988 there were so many to choose from I can't wait to see what you got .I just love your videos keep up the great work. 😊

Why they exist and not press
Some of them did get the press - about ten years ago, several hundred vehicles were processed and hauled away to the iron yard
@@mr.goodpliers6988 most of them just garbage and wasted nature, better if all are press, noone no want yhem
That Pinto needs saved and put back on the road just for that awesome bumper sticker to make people laugh again.
