    Another work flow for blender scene elment as gray box to stablediffusion img2img creation then image as plane like this. Or you can go even further and get depth map from stablediffusion then have 3d in blender then stick your image on it. Then its 3d with out the cut and extrude jobs.

  • @CompleteGodel
    @CompleteGodel Месяц назад

    Have you considered making the rough model first, then using a depth matte + control net to create the building front in SDXL? Might give you more control over the final design. Have had some success in the past with SD 1.5 + Normal map + Depth map + Edge detection on line render. Let’s you pretty much control the final shape and just make the texture to project back on.

    • @Scarlett_vfx

      Wow that’s an awesome idea- I tried making a depth map with dalle and failed spectacularly

    • @CompleteGodel
      @CompleteGodel Месяц назад

      @@Scarlett_vfx I think blender should have a way to export the depth map of a render. If you are looking to create one from an image, search “midas depth map replicate demo”, might be fun to try that with the facade then build out from there . I just tried a couple prompts in Dalle for depth maps, and it really loves giving me perspective views, no matter what strange voodoo prompt engineering I try. Pretty, but not useful. I think in the past I’ve got on midjourney to /sorta/ work with making them, but honestly, best way is a model made for it.

    This is clickbait.
    It has nothing to do with AI whatsoever.
    This is about taking a 2d image, performing loop cuts, and then extruding the cuts for a 3d image.
    AI was 'used' to generate the image, but you can grab an image from anywhere.
    This technique is really one of the oldest.

  • @soundsoflife8885
    @soundsoflife8885 Месяц назад +33

    Bit misleading title, you aren't doing anything new with this technique, Ian Hubert did this with real images and many other 3D artists before years ago with blender. besides generating an image with Ai what detail is the AI actually doing? Other than a simple jpeg? Seems lackluster

    • @Scarlett_vfx
      @Scarlett_vfx  Месяц назад +16

      Usually I build using images I find online but it’s hard to find a front facing image of exactly what I want, AI just helps me create a base image closer to what I have in my head

    • @soundsoflife8885
      @soundsoflife8885 Месяц назад +4

      @@Scarlett_vfxtrue your title implies that "Ai is somehow adding the details" but in actuality you are overlaying a jpeg on a model. Its no longer Ai after that stage, which is why your title appears to be misleading?. Your title should read something like "how to use AI image textures for Models in blender " anyways it's a great tutorial nonetheless for those who aren't familiar with this old technique. you have a good channel and im following you!. just the title is not right in this case. And several viewers seem to agree?? Food for thought.

    3d modelers are gonna start coming out as half-baked if they start relying on AI and not putting in any real work
    can't wait to see the industry become so incompetent that they actually just let the AI take over 😂

  • @nicholaspostlethwaite9554
    @nicholaspostlethwaite9554 Месяц назад

    No you are not adding details.
    You are adding image textures. No need or point in any ai, been done for ever with real images. Further your end building is a useless same front on all four sides.
