  • Pros:
B-Air has an easier time to outrange recoverys.
Samus slides behind the stage underneath on slope walls which makes the b-air hitbox position ideal against vertical recovery attempts.
B-Air sweetspot knockback is much stronger than N-Air or F-Air.
Samus can throw out two B-Airs and still make it back.

    How do you b reverse?

Jump into the air and press the B button, and then I think like 1 or 2 frames/immediately after (Not holding any direction or you'll input a side B) you flick the control stick in the opposite direction that you're currently facing. This is really useful for reversing your momentum, and therefore Samuses benefit heavily from this. There are other characters this can be useful for that have projectiles, like Mario and Snake (You'll see Snakes do this a lot after recovering high to change their direction making juggling harder).
You'll know if you did it right if Mario switches directions suddenly while doing the Fireball Animation (This goes for all characters, Samus reverses direction while charging/shooting). You'll know you did it too early if you input a side-B (Usually when you're holding the direction while pressing B instead of immediately after), and you'll know if you did it too late if you just Neutral B in the direction you were facing when starting the jump.
I recommend practicing in Training Mode to get it down. Might be useful if you play a character that has a Neutral B that can benefit from B Reversing.
