Love your new space! If you like to get REALLY nerdy about water filtration, you might be interested in phytoremediation and how water hyacinth can be used as a medium to filter out some of the heavy metals used in creating glazes.
I love your videos- I always learn so much! I’m looking forward to all the future videos you mentioned. When you have time, I’d love to know how you wash your clay-splattered clothes! I can’t put mine straight into the washing machine- I’ve got to get the clay out first, and it’s a laborious process. Thank you!
hmmm i just put them right into the washing machine! But if you cant do that, maybe spray with with a hose, leave them out in the rain, or wash in a bathtub before going into the machine.
My first lessons are starting in 3 weeks and this really helps with thinking about how to organise my workspace. Also have a big basement with natural light. gotta move some boxxes around first. Love the way you end with, bye friends. :)
Really really love your videos...specially your sweet sincerity that comes through ! I have learnt a lot from you. Interesting when you said in your firing videos that after the temp has reached ie. 1240 you can switch off the electricity while it is naturally cooling down....wow that is helpful to know as it will save power. Have yu done a video on under glazing. Also it is still a challenge for me to know about the right thickness of a glaze. If I am using underglaze in the greenware stage or slip...is it necessary to bisque first or can I put it through glaze firing straight away. Thanks for reading my comments !
Just found your channel and subbed! Very nice studio, and an inspiration for me and my endeavors! By the way, don't let my name fool you, I make a lot of different things. It's just that I thought that I was going to be a soaper when I made my profile. Love your work, and am looking forward to watching all of your vids!!
getting my own home studio together. thank you for this tour. curious how important a waterproof floor is? is it important to have your glazing space separate from where you form your pottery?
waterproof flooring is not important as long as you dont keep puddles on your floor 😆 just treat it like any old floor. I glaze in the same room just be tidy so you dont get glazes in your clay ☺️
Wow!! Look at you!! It’s beautiful!!!
OOh what a lovely studio and workspace! Thank you for your great videos! Cheers from Finland!

So nice!! Trying to eek out a work space but I have no space as nice as this. Great job.
