What a beautiful space! And then OMG, I just saw the end and I can't believe I won! I am so honored and hearing you read my comment brought tears to my eyes. What an amazing honor truly. You really bring so much joy to us. Thank you!
You've done a great job!! The one thing I would add is - you know the drawers that are wood and dark blue? I would paint the dark blue areas in that same blue you painted the door - just to tie that part together with the rest!
Watching you make things with your own hands is absolutely delightful and inspiring. It's amazing! I'm also an enthusiast about being autonomous in some crafts and I learn so much from you. I loved every second of this video for many many many reasons. Thank you, Mia!! And congratulations on your new super homey studio ❤
For the blank space on the back wall, you should do gallery shelves for ceramics you like/inspire you! I have a shelf of mini pots I love and it inspires me to try new shapes :)
It looks amazing! I absolutely love it. That little lamp and the plants add such warmth. It feels like home. Great job! I appreciate all the details on what you used and how you did things, too. Super helpful!
Dear Mia, we love your studio. Thank you so much for the fantastic pottery session we had with you last weekend. We're really looking forward to the second lesson this Saturday. You are truly a great teacher!! Bärbel and Sophie
The wire shelf you were waffling between wood and wire, why not just attach a wood trim piece to the front. It remains a wire shelf, but gives the illusion of a wooden shelf. Bonus it will hide the uneven ends where the wire is not exactly lined up.
are you going to paint your cabinet wall? you can make them look more cohesive if you replace the pulls on everything so no one will know its an almagamation. the colors from F/B are fabulous!
❤❤❤ There could not have been a better winner for the wheel! Hopefully it will help them with everything - from bowls to getting through the hard times. ❤❤❤ And Mia, thanks for this beautiful and inspiring video. I really like your energy and creativity. ❤
Mia the 'print' is sensational!!! Will be looking out for it on your website. The studio is warm, comfortable and gorgeous....definitely an inspiration! TFS!!
You’re a beautiful person, Miya. I’m a little teary eyed right now over the end of your video! You’re so sweet and personable. Thank you for sharing so much with us. Also your studio looks gorgeous. 🖤
I love the results. The only thing that still gives it away as a typical German Kellertür to me (German here 😅) is the door handle - I would maybe change it, if you want to make it less basementy. But I really love all your solutions and design and it really is much more homey looking and nice looking now!
I love everything you did in your studio, the rail around breaks up the big expanse of wall and the colour is nice, the curtains warm up the space making it comfy and practical space. New shelving is awesome and the fill in wood, curtain and little door pull it all together. Well done you, , you keep doing all you do and I will keep watching, the lucky winner is so right about throwing, it's something I can do, I enjoy being in class sharing the experience with fellow potters, were all different but we share a love of clay
For the extra space for artwork Beryl Shereshewsky on youtube uses the space behind her in her videos to showcase a revolving artist. Very "build a community" vibe.
🎉What a wonderful makeover of your space!!! Farrow & Ball has some really beautiful paint. Thank you for sharing all this amazing content and for all the genuinely mindful and enjoyable videos you create.
Hello from Australia! I really love your videos, they are so realistic and, in a way, very soothing. Having just finished trying to create a pottery space in my garage, with no water source except the hose in the garden, I just don’t know how you manage to keep your space look so clean! I have clay smears on everything because I am collecting clay water in buckets and more buckets! Kudos to you my dear. Keep up the great work x
Oh instead of filling those gaps you should have put your wear boards in there, great little space. It does look beautiful trimmed though. The reno looks amazing, well done. I am currently building my own pottery studio and it is rather exciting to make your own personal creative space.
omg.... love 10 hundred and SLEW not sure if these are going to link to their channels... but search them if they aren't in your feed. love your channel. potter since 1995 fun to see it evolve on you tube while in the studio
Beautiful :) I found your channel through the air conditioner you made -- but have loved pottery for a long time and have dabbled over the years. Your content is really satisfying and calming, and also I can't get enough of your throwdown videos. Your content always feel authentic and like you are doing yourself justice as an artist. I don't know if you already have a video like this (but I've been binging these so I feel like I would have found it?), but I would love to hear how you came to open a pottery studio in Europe / leaving the US, etc. As someone who also just moved cities to dream-chase, I am curious about your story. Congrats on your studio & sponsorships! I am selfishly glad to have found your channel while you can still read a lot of the comments ;) you entirely deserve the success you're getting!!! Thank you for being such a cozy and creative space on my feed
Thank you so much! I talked about that in a video about a year ago where I am throwing mini christmas trees :) but i think I will do another Q&A soon 🤔
11:27 I'd love to see you do more sewing/upholstery content, maybe on a second channel or something. Your honesty, ability to explain things, and video/editing style would be such a gift to the YT sewing community.
Greetings from Finland! Brilliant job with the studio, it looks amazing! I thought a notice board would be a great add to your wall. You could use it as your mood board! No doubt, you would russel one up yourself, in now time!! Be, Minna
I've seen most of your recent videos so far but your studio looks quite nice! It's important to have pleasant surroundings. I also dig Ikea IVAR very much. I've put up a racking system with two door-cabinets in my kitchen and painted it all TARDIS blue. It was a cheap paint I've found at Gamma that turned out to be same colour used on the TARDIS props on Doctor Who the past few decades.
The shelves need a bracket in the middle to brace the weight. You don't want them warping/sagging again. They won't hold too much weight with no studs behind.
That must feel so nice! I love seeing how all the different projects came together to create a cohesive space. The blue trim and door turned out quite lovely. Thank you for sharing this process!
I'll just google it but I can't find the paint in the description. I do love how the studio turned out. I can't wait to see all the clay stains in the curtains XD. For the wall, what about having Florian's book on a tiny shelf? It's then usable art
I love your makeover studio!!!! So right about that color combo 🫶🏼🩵 Who doesn’t love ikea!! So lucky to live near one myself - dangerous tho 🤣. I keep trying to make my new studio over but we bout a metal building ( since last studio flooded out) and to save $$, I didn’t put interior walls 😮. Currently using heavy duty magnets to hang shelves 🤦🏻♀️🤣🤓
Loved the video! Regarding the art recommendation, maybe you would enjoy the works of Sophy Hollington. She does very fantastical and organic compositions, both colorful and black&white, using a slightly textured look that gives the pieces a mosaic-like presence. I feel it would suit the space and combine well with your artworks.
Hi Mia , super job !what a transformation. thanks so much for sharing these inspiring and encouraging DIY videos 😊Wrt the “bit of trouble involved “in getting the tool wall set up…what happened and how did you get it solved ? what about sharing your learnings and dos & donts for those that got inspired by your video ?
Thank you!! I totally get sharing the struggles for learning purposes but in this case it was very specific to my weird wall situation so I thought it wouldnt be helpful to most people watching 😂 basically I couldnt get the plugs to sit straight in the cement because of that 10cm foam gap! But DIY is all about persistence 🥴
Love your videos! And thanks for struggle remark. It always looks so smooth in montage and I am just not ready for all tweaking and adjusting of real life. Always need to keep remembering not to rush and not to get frustrated
If being a fan girl for a paint company is nerdy then I’m a big ole nerd 😂 love the back wall colors, they look so good together! And the curtains and added wood definitely cozy up the space, it looks like a really lovely place to make pottery
Wow it's amazing!! I have a random question for you, I think you can answer it well. I make earthenware mugs and I want to sell them but I'm wondering if I should label them as microwave safe? Are they safe because it's earthenware or it's better to go safe and not letting people microwave?
Artwork suggestions: gotta be a female artist, right? Went to see the work of Hilma af Klint recently at Tate Modern. Perhaps check her out if you haven’t come across her. She was doing abstract paintings before Mondrian but of course never got the accolade being a woman. Her work is very powerful. But why not make some clay shapes into stamps and print them - there’s a challenge for a video! Perhaps using raw glazes or slips as the printing ‘ink’... or even your F&B paints. Love the new studio look by the way.
What a beautiful space! And then OMG, I just saw the end and I can't believe I won! I am so honored and hearing you read my comment brought tears to my eyes. What an amazing honor truly. You really bring so much joy to us. Thank you!
Congrats on winning! I hope you have the loveliest time learning and creating on your new pottery wheel :)
Sending love
❤❤❤ congratulations!! So excited for you!!
Congrats on the wheel :D. Hope it continues to help your journey on reducing anxiety ^^
Your comment was so beautiful, I'm so glad you won!! That random number generator picked the right comment.
Congratulations!! I'm so glad you won!! Creating pottery is so cathartic. Many good thoughts and wishes to you!!
So lucky that you only had to count to 56! Love the studio makeover, especially the paint colors. Great job!
hhaha omg me too. The universe was on my side with that one haha
You've done a great job!!
The one thing I would add is - you know the drawers that are wood and dark blue? I would paint the dark blue areas in that same blue you painted the door - just to tie that part together with the rest!
I was thinking about that! Great suggestion:)

Thank you!! 🥰
Wow Mia! 10 stars! It's so warm & cozy, yet crisp & fresh. Enjoy! We will enjoy it too.
Thank you so much!!
For the blank space on the back wall, you should do gallery shelves for ceramics you like/inspire you! I have a shelf of mini pots I love and it inspires me to try new shapes :)
yess! I was planning to stack little pots on the shelves and maybe add another shelf closer to the ceiling too for displaying ceramics :)🤔
It looks amazing! I absolutely love it. That little lamp and the plants add such warmth. It feels like home. Great job! I appreciate all the details on what you used and how you did things, too. Super helpful!
thanks so much!!

i have been thinking about it for a while but I’m not sure! I kinda like the mismatched look :)
As an interior designer, you are not the only nerd to have a favorite paint company, and I'm totally jealous you got free Farrow & Ball.
Right?? I couldnt believe it. Glad I’m not alone 😆
❤❤❤ There could not have been a better winner for the wheel! Hopefully it will help them with everything - from bowls to getting through the hard times. ❤❤❤
And Mia, thanks for this beautiful and inspiring video. I really like your energy and creativity. ❤
Thank you so much! I agree about the winner 🥰😭

It's always nice to make your space fit your needs better. That is a very nice blue.
thank you so much!

I have a suggestion for a project.
A Mortar and Pestle hand building
Love your vids. You inspire me.
Hi Mia! The studio looks so cozy and inviting, great job!

That color for your door, just gorgeous and you definitely added warmth to your space!! ❤
thank you!! I am so glad in the end that I painted the door :)

wow thats kind of you to say! 🥰 I will think about it but I am very much a beginner with textiles 🙃
wow thats kind of you to say! 🥰 I will think about it but I am very much a beginner with textiles 🙃
@PotterytothePeople I think your "newness" would be your advantage because you'd be speaking the same language as other beginners 🥰

aww thank it kind to say. Thank you!
The tool wall looks like a Limewash😊 so pretty!!!

Congratulations to the winner. His comment was so inspiring!!! Your studio is awesome. 🩷🩷🩷
Thank you!! They were a perfect winner :)
Great make over! Simply explained. Very inspiring. Thankyou.
Lovely! I just have a corner in my basement to create at home but this makes me want to take the time to cozy it up a bit.
its totally worth the effort!
I'm just about to set up my studio and this is so helpful! It looks beautiful. Rustic, inviting and calming. Thanks for sharing.
thanks so much!
That must feel so nice! I love seeing how all the different projects came together to create a cohesive space. The blue trim and door turned out quite lovely. Thank you for sharing this process!
Thank you so much! I am so happy with it :)
Your renovation looks great well done
Very pretty colors you have chosen!
yay! so glad you've got a space that you loooove to work in! :) it looks wonderful!
thank you!!
The new studio looks amazing 🤩 especially the blue door! Blue is not my favorite color, but this one really got me 💙
Thank you!! its a really lovely shade, right??
Such a humble spirit. Blessings towards. Love it.
Thank you!

Congrats to Suki on winning the wheel and congrats to you on the studio makeover!
What a beautiful cohesive space you have created.
Thank you! I love it :)
The studio looks beautiful Mia. Well done!👏🏻🙂
I love your makeover studio!!!! So right about that color combo 🫶🏼🩵

Beautiful workspace!!!! 👏🏻
Perfect ❣️. You are such a precious inspiration
If being a fan girl for a paint company is nerdy then I’m a big ole nerd 😂 love the back wall colors, they look so good together! And the curtains and added wood definitely cozy up the space, it looks like a really lovely place to make pottery

Loish is my fave artist, not sure of your taste but her stuff is pretty great in my eyes.
Ooh thanks I will look them up :)
This ended up looking so nice!!!
thank you! :)
Love the art on the wall!
thank you!!
12:40 It's totally not nerdy to have a favorite paint company, because mine is Benjamin Moore 😊
hhahah maybe we are nerds together 🥰
Congrats #56!!!!!
Your studio looks AMAZING!!!
thank you!!
It looks amazing!!!
Whaaaat? I think your studio is beautimous!
But wow! Great changes!
Thank you!! Now its better :)
subscribed, just love watching you doing ceramics, for me is a new territory. thanks a lot. :))))
It turned out fantastic!!
thank you so much :)
It looks great!
Great job!
Are you not able to get tension curtain rods in Germany? That probably would have been a lot less work lol
haha idk! I didnt think about that solution 😅
Love it Mia!! you did perfect!!
Awww thank you!!! 🥰 i love it
Nice pottery! You look a lot like Brida from The Last Kingdom
haha she looks like a badass so I’ll tale that as a compliment:)
I'm not even upset I didn't win because the winner was so sweet :) also I have favourite paint companies. Not nerdy at all ha ha
Yes and yes!
Having to count comments manually it's fortunate you didn't roll a 900 or something...😂
omg yes exactly. The next time I do it I will plan better 😆

It's an art studio, it's supposed to be messy.
Yes, goodbye to grey! I will not get a car until they run out of grey paint! So boring!
I have seen far uglier doors.
hee moin mia, dein kanal is echt kewl, macht mir viel spass zuzuschauen 🙂 chapeau *kleeblatt-emoji*
