When I started driving we had meters that had s flag on them that showed for hire , when I had a job in the flag was dropped, half way up was stopped. They were illuminated when they were up as well. The roof sign had a cowel on it. That's progress I guess.
Simple make it convertible I would love to ride in one if it was built and you would get loads of people wanting to sight seeing and at the end you show them the fair 😂😂😂😂😂😂

And how many of the cabs running around in London are running on their petrol reserves rather than battery? The hire light is/was an absolute joke frankly, good to see it’s being fixed and well done for further publicising the fix

A cheap plastic cap that vibrate on motorway and the range will be affected as its not aerodynamic Main problem for the 70k Levc Txe cab is Erad keeps breaking down its been 5 years sort it out Levc
Why couldn't the "for hire" sign be the same type as on the previous TX's (the 1,2 & 4) or the various model(s) before those, the FX4, in as much that the word "taxi" isn't so prominent. It doesn't even need to be angled like the older models, when the light is off the word "taxi" effectively disappears....... simples it 'aint rocket science. Plus why isn't this arrangement fitted as original equipment on the TXe's as they are coming off the production line, n-o-w, by the actual manufacturer LEVC and not a retailer. There is no excuse.
Its not fixed even having the cap op on day time its same long term this cap will fly away due to weather changes levc have to get corrected this is temporary bypass to out solution n connection on the street for passengers with led technology day light can be fixed

The problem was always the taxi hire light is angled 45° towards the sky with no shroud. Every other taxi it pointed forward plus had a shroud too.

Its always been a problem with this taxi, the hire light. I also think the price of the taxi is the biggest problem and parts.

That should be secured by a couple of screws as i wouldnt trust that glue to hold it on at 70 mph on the motorway

I never get a taxi fue to extortionate fees. No petrol means fees should come down, but they haven't so I boycot them

Apparently it won’t come off at any speed, I think this will be the only ‘Fix’ available as it is quite obviously the cheapest solution

Sorry to burst your bubble but this isnt a fix. Ask the unhappy drivers who habe had it installed. A lot of unhappy customers.
I think it’s fair to say it an improvement, it’s LEVC’s fix and I’m sure it was the cheapest option open to them
