Hi nimuoy! Nice video! Watching this video really reminds me of my trip to Iceland last March (2019). As I was travelling solo, I always forgot to turn on my gopro to take some videos of driving around the ring road. I was too enjoying the view and in the end I don't have one. But seeing your video do reminds me of the road there, road conditions to the east fjords and north looks exactly the same as when I was there in early March. Thanks for posting it! Hoping to come here again to do things I am not able to do before.
A wonderful NATURAL video from Iceland (Mainly the drive in the Fossardular area). Iceland is a country I like so much , with plans to visit next April. Thank you for uploading this great video. Hanna Astephan.
I just found this video while looking for Iceland info. It seemed to hit all of the high spots, and I really liked it. I can't wait till my husband gets home so I can show it to him, as we are leaving for Iceland on March 28. From this video we can figure out what we want to see. Thank you.
hey thanks for the comment! hope it will help you for your trip planning:) we loved our iceland trip so much and wanted to share the videos we took there.
thanks for sharing! we're going to be headed to iceland the last week of march in 2018 so it's cool to see how the weather will be like around that time of year.
Hi thanks for your comment! Yes we watched many youtube videos prior to our trip last year as well as we were worried about the weather/driving conditions. We found the websites road.is and en.vedur.is very helpful as well! If you are interested, we also have more detailed blog entries about our trip itinerary at mrandmrsbai.wordpress.com
Hello and many thanks for a wonderful video from Iceland! May I ask where you stayed during the nights? Bed&Breakfast? I visited Iceland back in 1992 when being one of very few visitors back then, and drove around the whole Iceland except the Vesturhorn and it was a pleasure and joy to watch this your excellent video and to be reminded of all the places again! I always long to visit Iceland again! Wishing you a very good new year 2018 and all the Best!
That’s a fantastic story. Would love to have visited Iceland back in those days. Without other tourists it must have been amazing. This beautifulcountry came to my attention from a music video released by a band called Marillion. The song was called Dry Land and the video was filmed in Iceland. It was released in 1991. From that moment on I had a dream of visiting and my dream finally came true in 2016 and it didn’t disappoint. I’ve visited 4 times overall and will be going again in March 2022. I really have fallen in love with Iceland 🇮🇸❤️ I hope you visit again 😊
Very enjoyable and helpful video. We are traveling to Iceland in late February. I'm going to check out your itinerary you posted below as we are in the early stages of preparation. Any major do's and/or don'ts by chance?
Thanks for the comment! We found the website road.is very useful to gauge road conditions/wind speeds before setting off each day. Be sure to check the website regularly as we found the weather to be quite unpredictable. Stay safe and be prepared to change your plans for the day depending on weather conditions. Have a good trip!
Hi mate great video I was wondering if you can help me with some info. I'm looking to go to Iceland around end of March & I'd like to know how you found the driving conditions? Have you had experience in those driving conditions & did you encounter black ice also did you organize accommodation before or when you arrived at your locations? Most importantly what speed were you doing & how long did it take to get to your destination? I would love your advice thanking you in advance. Cheers Eric
Hey! I was planning a road trip to Iceland this Feb with my girl. I was wondering if you would share your itinerary. This is exactly what we've been looking for! It'd be great if you could help, thankd bud
Hello!! Really nice video, thanks! :) I would like to ask you or anyone that knows if you think the roads are to hard do drive? for someone who had recently their driving license... what do you think?? (to go on this time of the year.. march)
Hi the roads are good on the ring road but weather can be unpredictable. Ensure you have plenty of daylight and take regular breaks while driving! And always check the road conditions on road.is
Adolfo Celinski your english fairly good. But you wouldn't usually say 'never mind' something in the way you did. I would suggest we 'disregard' or ' forgive' or 'ignore' : your english mistakes. If a child drops their ice cream you can say 'never mind , i will buy you another'. It means don't have a sad emotion. It always refers to an emotion. Disregard refers to your attention. It means don't look at (regard) that.
Awesome tour. We are going in similar dates this year and doing the same route. How skilled were you for driving in those conditions. We live in California and we don't have that kind of weather. I'm a little worried. Can you tell us? Thank you.
Which period of March did you Travel? I am suprised by how much snow that still hangs around in march. It looks like it is sill fully winter. We have planned 21 March - 31 March Next year for Iceland. We have 10 nights and so far have planned to spend 2 nights in Reykjavik, 2 nights in Vik and 2 nights in Hofn (each with their own day tours and activites). With the time we have left, i want to go to Egilsstaðir for 2 nights and then use the final day and a half to drive all the way back to reykjavik. WOuld this be feasible in march?
Hi it was in Snaefellsnes peninsula during our drive from Fosshotel Hellnar to Ytri Tunga beach. I don't know the exact location - just saw the beautiful view to the left of our car and stopped for some photos!
Outside of airfare, we spent about 3.5k USD for 2 persons including car rental + fuel. The car rental/fuel for 12 days cost us around 1.5k USD alone. We saved money by cooking our own meals most of the time. Most attractions we visited were free except for Blue Lagoon, Myvatn Nature Bath, Husavik whale museum, Vatnshellir lava cave tour
Yes we would recommend renting a car and driving as it offers more flexibility. However, do check on road conditions on road.is regularly and be prepared to change your plans if road/wind conditions are bad. Enjoy your trip!
No way, I am 70 y old Finn, I know have to drive on ice road. Nobody is driving so fast in snow. Normally in YT they will mention the speed of video. Shame of You, please. Wbr Antti
Have done all this over my 4 visits to Iceland 🇮🇸 Never get bored of watching vlogs of my favourite country to visit ❤️

Do we need a gps to get around in Iceland?
Hi yes! or you could use google maps if you don't want to rent a GPS.
Do you recommend driving in March? I'm going at the end of March and debating on renting a car or just do tours.
Yes we would recommend renting a car and driving as it offers more flexibility. However, do check on road conditions on road.is regularly and be prepared to change your plans if road/wind conditions are bad. Enjoy your trip!
We are also traveling at the end of March! What car did you use in this video?
