I bought the BG2.0 to have a summer shorts pocket gun, but it shoots so well that I find myself carrying it around way more often. Great addition to the list.
as an turk im really happy canik finaly receives the love it deserves. in my opinion they are still underrated because lots don't want to give it a go just because it is turkish, they have amazing trigger with insane accuracy for such a price. that's why they want to play the gun down by saying 'BUDGET' while its not good because its budget you get so much more than a gun which costs 2k. but im sure anyone who have used one will be happy and obsessed with caniks, thanks for the great content.
I recently picked up the Canik MC9LS and love it. It feels and shoots like a pistol that costs twice as much. So far I have about 650 rounds through it and not a single malfunction.
CZ robbed itself of being on this list by not simply including shorter screws for optics or at least warning that the P09c will have problems with long screws.
They just got a lemon. It happens for all manufacturers. Bummer it happened to HO for his sake as well as because it makes people question CZ’s quality (which is superb). But good news for you is if you didn’t have those problems out of the box then you very likely won’t.
All 1911 series 70 type designs have a chance to go off when dropped muzzle down due to the inertia of the firing pin overcoming the firing pin spring (no firing pin block). The safety is irrelevant as this just prevents trigger from being pulled but doesn't prevent movement of the firing pin.
@@DVPPPfirst of all, “a chance,” doesn’t mean it fails. Second of all, he skewed the data on purpose, and he knows he did. Run the test with the safeties on, and until then, stop this garbage.
Those are all great firearms, and I can’t wait to get my M&P 2.0 performance center. Comes with 5 17 round mags, red dot, extra grips, and a sweet case for only $1100. Thank God for pawn shops😃 pew-pew!
It took 65 years for me to understand that more guns don't make you a better shooter. I'm down to 15 now and still have duplicates. All shoot as well as my skills will allow. I'm paring down to 5 essential calibers; 5.56, 300BO, 9mm, 22lr and 12ga. My .45acp, 300HAMR and 22wrm are going g to be retired.
I'm kind of the same way, don't like duplicates of even the same type. I just bought my last handgun which was a full size after having a subcompact and Canik TP9SFX (almost too big) and a .22 for cheap training. I get it's fun to collect but it gets expensive quick and you gotta leave something home no matter what, can't bring them all to the range.
@@mikeb4708 I used to be into M1A's and AR10's but upon evaluation of my changing needs I got out of the caliber. The temptation to shoot something big enough and distant enough to require .308 would likely kill my 72 year old ass to retrieve it.
Have you heard any of the recent reports that the Canik MC9s not being drop safe? A user on Reddit had a round discharge after the weapon fell from their holster and was able to consistently recreate the striker firing after being dropped. Canik's customer support response was less than stellar, definitely worth looking into/considering if you're interested in Canik.
I've got variations of two on the list. P365x with pmm comp, Wilson combat player grip module, EPS carry 6moa green dot, and DPM spring kit in the way. Daily carry. Picked up the M&P Compact Comp polymer model a couple of weeks ago. The shorter sights than stock were a bummer, but great sights if you don't plan to mount an optic. I'm about to send my p320c slide off for optic direct milling for EPS green dot and cerakote job at Jaegerwerks after over 5,500 rounds. I prefer the Sigs over the M&P all day. Next will be the Echelon Comp maybe. Or another 10mm to go with my Sig XTen 5 inch. Something for carry like an FN510 MRD/Tactical. I'm glad to be an American.
Just picked up the 365 legion. The balance and grip with that gun feel so good. I don’t have big hands. Wanted to try it coming from the M&P 2.0 and was shocked at how much smaller it was. But so much better balanced. Love it
I agree but the list is of pistols that came out in 2024 and the only pistol that HK released, that I am aware of, was the new CC9 and that was very recent.
Honest Outlaw, how important is getting frangible ammo when doin as much metal target shooting as you do? I was wondering if you've found it to be unnecessary or something I should look into?
I went and bought a good deal of guns you’ve reviewed over the last few years to try out each brand. (2)Caniks, Tisas, (2)Springfields, (2)sig, (2)taurus, girsan, (2)Walthers, (2) rugers, iwi, palmetto, Anderson, smith, glock, (4) mossbergs, beretta and (3) czs. I ended up trading everything for smith as I fell in love with it. Walther and cz are the only 2 other brands I considered running. I did decide to skip on hk just for price and mag release location but I now own • M&p .22 compact •Bodyguard 2.0 •Shield + •Shield + performance •M&p 2.0 compact •M&p 2.0 performance center with apex trigger • Springfield 1911 longslide • 20g Mossberg shockwave • smith and Wesson fpc • smith and Wesson sport 2 ar15 I’m happy until I can afford a nice semi auto .308. Thank you for all the time you put into make your reviews.
I have never commented on any of your stuff but I feel I must. You are the king of Honest reviews. I now own a P365 specter comp and also a p365 axg legion. They are both as awesome as you say they are! I recently picked up the 365 Fuse and its very nice as well. I would love to see a 1000 rd review on the fuse. I put the fuse slide on the AXG legion frame and.....DUDE! you have to try that! that is the perfect do it all gun in my opinion! anyhow keep rocking brother.
As a European, "Or maybe for a jogging gun or for going to the gym", is the most American thing I've ever heard. Going for my license btw, so thanks for the explanation!
You’ve done it again Chris! I own almost every one on your list and I completely agree. - MC9LS is fantastic. I own one and love it. Way better than the original. - Type B is so great I bought a second with the optics cut! Recoil impulse is fantastic. - I was really disappointed with the CS but don’t own the C. I loved and competed with the XL which was fantastic. - M&P comp is a great gun though I don’t love the grip ergos - never shot the SA Prodigy but I have heard it is well made and shoots flat - Walther triggers IMO rival my 1911s in crispness and reset but I would advise the Steel Frame guns. The weight makes all the difference. I shoot a Q4SF in carry optics - Just bought the P226 x5 Legion based on your review. Can’t wait to shoot it. - have not shot the TTI but Taran knows guns and I own 3 of them just not this one yet. - bodyguard 2.0 is shocking fantastic and everyone I let shoot it buys one. Great pocket gun - and NUMBER ONE-- definitely on target. The AXG Legion shoots like a full sized gun and carries lighter than it is.
I'm good with my CZ P-07. I got great ergonomics, absolute reliability (6000 rds +) a fantastic trigger and i didn't have to spend 3 grand to get it. I will die on this hill
I bought the XMacro with manual safety and put the mag well ring on it. I think it adds stability in my grip. I have the Tac-Ops slide release also but haven't installed it yet.
@@Excelnaught-f4b No doubt, if you want a pistol that is simplistic in it's design, easy to use, has the least amount of moving parts, is rugged, reliable, has brand recognition and goes bang when you pull the trigger and goes bang every time you pull the trigger then a Glock is what you want. It may not have the smoothest trigger or the smoothest lines or the bells and whistles that some other striker fired pistols offer but if my life is in danger, I will take my chances on a gun that works rather than a gun that looks great and might work. On the flip side, I see too many people modding out their Glocks by changing parts on it that already work and this compromises the integrity and reliability of a gun that already works. My advice to anyone using a Glock or any gun for your EDC is buy it new, shoot it often and do nothing to it!
My Archon type B is my favorite pistol so far out of the 13 or 14 of my EDC. But I took all that tape grip off, was nowhere near aggressive enough for me, so I stippled it myself like I usually do. It's fantastic!
Mr. @HonestOutlawReviews .. Your firing of the Canik in this video is epic! I bought a Canik T9 cuz it looked awesome and the price was right. Turned out to be the most accurate pistol for my wife and I that we've ever shot..or own.. and she wants her own now! The sounds of you hitting the targets was very close to a few Christmas songs, and hey it's that time of the year. I bet if you hit targets to the tune of "Carol of the Bells" , you'd go viral..Great for your channel..and I'd personally love to see/hear that! Excellent marksman Sir! Thank you for making all of your videos!!
I bought the M&P 2.0 polymer carry comp and I love it. I prefer the shorter frame for my carry, but man it still shoots like a dream. It's my favorite pistol that I've bought so far. Definitely going for that Sig next.
Recently got my hands on the Canik MC9L. Same as the LS but with the original MC9's slide on the bigger grip. Kind of wish I went for the LS, but at least the MC9L is holster compatible with the original MC9. I do wonder if I can buy the LS slide separately though.
7:06 yeah I’ve been wondering why don’t companies just port their barrels or at least have ported options available at msrp along with threaded options which would understandably cost a little more. I get not all weapons like maybe micro compacts may want to go comped over ported but still the manufacturing process shouldn’t be too much of a costly addition, right?
I wanna start with i trust honest outlaw completely. My favorite gun reviewer . Now the but , I believe his guns are cherry picked that companies send him (not his fault) 1st My Prodigy Comp sucked , had Hammer follow , had to rig a sear spring because the slot was not cut right. Failures to feed , kept leaving a round in mag and would lock back. 2. My body guard 2.0 was not reliable , failures to go into battery , slide would lock up , sights were crooked out of box. Those were my experiences buying "off the shelf" a lot of good guns on this list unfortunately I had different experiences, still my go to guy before I buy anything 👍
And the Canik TTI is usually put further down on every other list compared to Echelon comp and M&P metal comp due to reliability issues literally everybody else had and most shooters recommend sticking with the basic Rival. Plus the p365 series is great overall but he never mentions rust or slide/frame loosening on the AXG that @1911syndicate talks about.
Unfortunately Springfield is always a roll of the dice it seems. He had problems with his first prodigy but didn’t with the comp, so par for the course there. But yeah, the bodyguard roll out was a clear example of cherry picking and paying for hype (not blaming HO, pointing the finger at S&W). Bunch of reports of issues with them from actual customers. Hopefully Smith addresses them, because from the guntuber videos when they work they’re great. Meanwhile, CZ clearly doesn’t cherry pick as he happened to get a dud while there haven’t been reports of widespread issues lol.
I didn't mention that i shot back to back TTI and Rival S, which is cheaper, and it blew the TTI away lol but it does have a cool factor .@TheRancor53
Back in the day, our department went from the Barretta 92 to the Sig 226. Both are nice but it was noted, everyone's scores went up when we went to the Sig...
What a great list. Lots of variety and i own the AXG Legion P365 and the Canik TTI Combat. I want and will buy in 2025 the new pdp full size comp, as i already have the super reliable F series, and the p226 X5 Legion. Again what a great list.
I love Sig and like Glock but my carry weapon is a stock Glock 19. If something happens and I have to use my pistol in defense of myself or my family, I don’t want to lose a $1000 pistol with a $300 optic and a $300 light to the police, even if after months I could eventually get it back
I think that this is a valid reason to not carry a nice/pricey weapon. For this reason, I’ve been looking into Shadow Systems products, because of that warranty they have if a use was justified to their company.
That Staccato is sick. Also fan of the M&Ps. I shoot 40 better than 9 so my carrys are M&P40 4 1/2", G27 and Kahr CW40. Love the Kahr, pleasure to carry and am very accurate with it. Not a fan of the low capacity however. Do carry a G26 once in awhile and like 9. Love 9 in PCC and have several. Wife likes 9 better for obvious reasons. She's happier shooting 22s and her bow.
Surprised he didn't at least mention all the people who had problems with their TTI Caniks, since it was a pretty controversial release that left quite a few disappointed. Apparently not all, but some had trouble cycling with the comp and failed to meet the usual high expectations set by Taran. Probably an easy fix like changing springs if you got one that had issues, but a lot of people didn't do that and just sold theirs! If you got a good one that works with your ammo, then it's impressive for the price.
@@sheil07 To be fair, he had constant issues with his CZ P-09 C. Some manufacturers might check them a little closer but some don't and it's hard to tell when that occurs
Also the MC9 has a bunch of complaints for having out of battery issues. I have both the MC9 and the SFX rival. My MC9 works great so far but, my SFX Rival has been having a LOT of out of battery issues.
@15:12 i bought a canik rival-s and it came with 3 different sized mag releases in the case but the biggest one was installed from the factory. I think honest outlaw took sandpaper to that poor TTI for no reason lol
I honestly can't remember if you've had Bul Armory on the channel, but I'll put my Bul against the Staccato all day. Definitely better than the Prodigy.
He has. Great guns. I have one and quite a few different staccato’s + other 2011’s. In my personal opinion, they are worth the msrp all day everyday day. Problem is, they never are msrp and that’s if you can actually find them to begin with.
Hello no, Bul armory still uses shitty low-quality MIM parts. Also good luck getting it serviced from Israel if anything comes wrong or goes wrong with it lol
@@jacobbieler1876 wow thanks for mentioning that, yeh useful feedback to know. Looks like it needs to settle in and work out kinks. Hope you avoid malfunctions with yours going forward!
He loves to keep calling guns “micro compacts,” to the point where I wonder if he knows what that actually is. The Staccato C is not a micro compact, and neither is that 365 X Macro Legion. Both of those guns are G19 sized, and while the G19 can be considered compact, there is nothing micro about it.
Micro usually refers to the width of the gun, not the length of the slide, so he is right. Three sixty five is only one point one inches and width compared to a glock nineteen.
@ Where’d you get that special definition from? I would consider the original p365 to be a micro compact, but the X Macro is not, as I clearly stated above. So, no.
Micro compact refers to their size relative to their capacity. It’s more of an industry term than anything really because there isn’t a double stacked 9mm pistol out there that I would consider micro.
How do you feel about barrel porting/slide milling to make an integrated comp from a 3rd party manufacturer like how the firearm manufacturers make (i.e. Sig, Canik,S.W) but on a firearm that doesn’t come with the option? Thinking of porting a Canik Rival S because I want the advantage of the TTI Combats compensator but the Rival still doesn’t have a threaded barrel after 2 years so I figured I’d see about sending it out somewhere
You should really check out the Springfield XD MOD.3. It is an amazingly shootable and reliable pistol. I truly believe it is by far the best budget handgun of all time at only $300. Seriously, I would love to see your review of this pistol and get your thoughts.
Hi Chris the p365 axg legion is a gun that have been considering for cc , but I see some people have been having issues with the slide becoming lose or sloppy around the 1000 + rounds . I'm not sure what to think about this issue as I'm new to the world of hand guns. Would like to know your thoughts.

in my opinion they are still underrated because lots don't want to give it a go just because it is turkish, they have amazing trigger with insane accuracy for such a price.
that's why they want to play the gun down by saying 'BUDGET' while its not good because its budget you get so much more than a gun which costs 2k.
but im sure anyone who have used one will be happy and obsessed with caniks, thanks for the great content.
no one likes it bc its an eye sore aka its got an ugly design back to the drawing board with you
@@nated726 yeah, sure bud.
Just picked up my Bodyguard 2.0 today! Such a nice little gun
The LS is basically Canik's XMacro seems like, I may check it out
I'm positive Canik will put the COMPED version out next year
X Macro for 300 dollars less than Sig.
I recently picked up the Canik MC9LS and love it. It feels and shoots like a pistol that costs twice as much. So far I have about 650 rounds through it and not a single malfunction.
CZ robbed itself of being on this list by not simply including shorter screws for optics or at least warning that the P09c will have problems with long screws.
we removed the optic, still had malfunctions
@ damn, was really hoping that was the problem. Mine thus far runs flawlessly, will still keep an eye out for problems to arise.
They just got a lemon. It happens for all manufacturers. Bummer it happened to HO for his sake as well as because it makes people question CZ’s quality (which is superb). But good news for you is if you didn’t have those problems out of the box then you very likely won’t.
@ Definitely hoping that’s the case. If not, CGW says they know the fix for this product.
I enjoy your content, and try not to miss any of them. Thanks! 😊
Didn't the stacatto fail a drop test on garand thumbs channel?? Maybe I'm misremembering.
My thoughts exactly Glocks or smith and Wesson shield for me
They do with the safety off. All 1911 and 2011 do.
@@drsuikoden3850EXACTLY. This. Guys, seriously. The safeties were OFF.
Surprised the new HK CC9 did not make your list you seem to like it ✌️🇺🇸
I started carrying the C about a month ago instead of a macro. Love it.
65yrs? Seems like a common sense thing to me.
@lawabidingsavage He's being jocularly self-effacing. It is a thing.
No .308?
@@mikeb4708 I used to be into M1A's and AR10's but upon evaluation of my changing needs I got out of the caliber. The temptation to shoot something big enough and distant enough to require .308 would likely kill my 72 year old ass to retrieve it.
Have you heard any of the recent reports that the Canik MC9s not being drop safe? A user on Reddit had a round discharge after the weapon fell from their holster and was able to consistently recreate the striker firing after being dropped. Canik's customer support response was less than stellar, definitely worth looking into/considering if you're interested in Canik.
Great show 👌😀❤️
I've got variations of two on the list.
Take a shot whenever Outlaw mentions how big he is or how he has large "Jack Skellington" fingers.
Just picked up the 365 legion. The balance and grip with that gun feel so good. I don’t have big hands. Wanted to try it coming from the M&P 2.0 and was shocked at how much smaller it was. But so much better balanced. Love it
CZ P10C should be on every single list. It's like 350 dollars and IS AMAZING
I picked up the P10s last year. Absolutely love it as a carry pistol.
Been following you for years. My Bodyguard 2.0 is now on its 2nd trip back for repairs. Bought it 9/6/2024 both range trips and failed each one.
what happened to it?
Self ejecting magazine. No had hand clear of magazine relese.
I am jealous! Living in Massachusetts, most of these guns are not legal in my state.
I left taxachussetts 30 years ago for that exact reason.
I own a PDP Compact and 365 Tacops. I'm happy to say I made my choices after watching plenty of your videos
Nobody mentions H&K pistols anymore. I think they are one of the best manufacturers out there.
I agree but the list is of pistols that came out in 2024 and the only pistol that HK released, that I am aware of, was the new CC9 and that was very recent.
They were.
@mmpg8940 Facts 😂😂..USP is legendary tho love my Big chunky USP45 😂
100% agreed HK polymer guns are the benchmark. If the new CC9 would have been announced earlier in the year it would probably have made this list.
@keyonvinegar7920 They really missed an opportunity by not "updating " the USP ..🫣.... add a 1913 Rail & optic cut 👍would have been amazing!!
Honest Outlaw, how important is getting frangible ammo when doin as much metal target shooting as you do? I was wondering if you've found it to be unnecessary or something I should look into?
We use frangible ammo for ARs but not pistols, but you definitely have to keep safety in mind when using steel targets for sure
Keep them videos coming 💪🏽
Have been waiting for a new upload. Have been hooked on watching your videos bro!
Wild shot in the wind, but could you make a top 10 list of California guns. It’s pretty limited out here
Another great informative video. Awesome
Surprised Bul Armory didn't make the list!
I'm surprised the Canik did 😁😁 twice😁
Bul Armory's 2011s kick the crap out of anything from Springfield for around the same price

•Bodyguard 2.0
•Shield +
•Shield + performance
•M&p 2.0 compact
•M&p 2.0 performance center with apex trigger
• Springfield 1911 longslide
• 20g Mossberg shockwave

I’m happy until I can afford a nice semi auto .308. Thank you for all the time you put into make your reviews.
Glad to see the TTI on here. Just got mine and love it. No issues at all
I have never commented on any of your stuff but I feel I must.
Really like my mc9ls. Has become my new carry over my elite sc
As a European, "Or maybe for a jogging gun or for going to the gym", is the most American thing I've ever heard.
Going for my license btw, so thanks for the explanation!
Has anyone else noticed the first gun Outlaw pulls in the intro has the fiber optic front sight hanging out?
I hope you’re going to review the Fusion XP pro before to long. Keep up the great work
You’ve done it again Chris!
- M&P comp is a great gun though I don’t love the grip ergos
- never shot the SA Prodigy but I have heard it is well made and shoots flat
- Walther triggers IMO rival my 1911s in crispness and reset but I would advise the Steel Frame guns. The weight makes all the difference. I shoot a Q4SF in carry optics
- Just bought the P226 x5 Legion based on your review. Can’t wait to shoot it.
- have not shot the TTI but Taran knows guns and I own 3 of them just not this one yet.
- bodyguard 2.0 is shocking fantastic and everyone I let shoot it buys one. Great pocket gun
- and NUMBER ONE-- definitely on target. The AXG Legion shoots like a full sized gun and carries lighter than it is.
You’re the man! Impressive shooter and awesome reviewer!
I'm good with my CZ P-07. I got great ergonomics, absolute reliability (6000 rds +) a fantastic trigger and i didn't have to spend 3 grand to get it.
I will die on this hill
If only they made a optics ready model
@jasonrapp5209 yes
Staccato C 😮shoots so flat it looks like the video has been edited. Very impressive, and great content as always!!
The polymer frame carry comp, sas 2 ultralight comp, and the cr920xp are my fav guns from this year.
Bought a regular XMacro the other day and it turned me onto flat triggers which I previously hated. But the XMacro is a different creature.
I bought the XMacro with manual safety and put the mag well ring on it. I think it adds stability in my grip. I have the Tac-Ops slide release also but haven't installed it yet.
That's nice but in the end, I will stick with my Glock 19 Gen 5 stock with no modifications as an EDC any day of the week!
No light?
Yep, same here.

Man I wish CZ would make an aluminum micro P10 like the P365 Legion
Loved the breakdown at 1:45-you made it so easy to follow. Amazing work!
Picked up the p365 axg legion because of one of you videos this year. i love it 💯
- Taurus G3C
- Sig Sauer P365
- Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Plus
Taurus?! 😂😂 GROSS! 🤢🤮🤮
I bought the M&P 2.0 polymer carry comp and I love it. I prefer the shorter frame for my carry, but man it still shoots like a dream. It's my favorite pistol that I've bought so far. Definitely going for that Sig next.
Sig 365 AXG Legion FTW. Picked this up a couple months ago and love it.
Same. It replaced my 365 spectre comp as my edc
What holster are you using for the AXG ?

How much does it cost?
@@thatwasprettyvalidindeed7577 i think msrp is 1199, so somewhere near that at most places
Recently got my hands on the Canik MC9L. Same as the LS but with the original MC9's slide on the bigger grip. Kind of wish I went for the LS, but at least the MC9L is holster compatible with the original MC9. I do wonder if I can buy the LS slide separately though.
I said I wouldn’t get another gun this year but Christmas is coming up and I gotta treat myself. Looking at the 5.7 Rock in Sniper Green and Gold 🤣
Sorry to hear that bruv
@@Andrew_182I was so excited about the Body guard, I got to shoot it at GOALS event in Tennessee at S&W booth (definitely cherry picked 😅)

How you tell stories is amazing!

What a great list. Lots of variety and i own the AXG Legion P365 and the Canik TTI Combat. I want and will buy in 2025 the new pdp full size comp, as i already have the super reliable F series, and the p226 X5 Legion. Again what a great list.
WALTHER PDP PRO X
Is my new year gun!!🇺🇸💪🏻 2025
If you wait til Jan 1 its not another gun this year!!
Will porting a handgun decrease reliability and increase chances of malfunction? Thoughts for carry use.
@@Borescoped Yeah you really can't beat their promise to replace it!
@@Borescoped I have an MR 920 and its a beast. So accurate and easy to shoot that I don't even want to shoot anything else I own.
And issues mounting optics, as I am having
Do you think the gun sent to an influencer by a manufacturer is checked a little more closely than one you pick up at your LGS?
@@sheil07 Sure, just figured he is still informed enough to have heard about other peoples' issues, but maybe not.
LOL. I am pleasantly surprised to see that I have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place guns. This is proof I put a lot of stock in this channel when I shop.
Shadow systems XR920P or CR920P deserved to be on this list. Reviews are excellent on those guns. I think it’s a better gun than Canik TTI Combat
I have the CR920, and I love it as well.
@15:12 i bought a canik rival-s and it came with 3 different sized mag releases in the case but the biggest one was installed from the factory. I think honest outlaw took sandpaper to that poor TTI

He has. Great guns. I have one and quite a few different staccato’s + other 2011’s. In my personal opinion, they are worth the msrp all day everyday day. Problem is, they never are msrp and that’s if you can actually find them to begin with.

Im confused. When you did a dedicated on the 365 legion you didn't like it. What changed?
He loves to keep calling guns “micro compacts,” to the point where I wonder if he knows what that actually is. The Staccato C is not a micro compact, and neither is that 365 X Macro Legion. Both of those guns are G19 sized, and while the G19 can be considered compact, there is nothing micro about it.
Micro usually refers to the width of the gun, not the length of the slide, so he is right. Three sixty five is only one point one inches and width compared to a glock nineteen.
@
Where’d you get that special definition from?
Got my normal Rival dark side 6 hole ported. Shoots flat, follow ups fast and accurate, huge difference, and legal in my non threaded state.
18:40 so... Recommended for prison carry? 😂
So, instead of “Prison Pocket”, it’s now a prison holster! 😂
