SloJoe and his ilk are certainly trying their best to destroy many of our American freedoms, and gun ownership is near the top of their list. The BASS-TURDS!
Had a Glock 19 for my first gun, but once I held and shot a 1911, I had to have one, it definitely felt like home… And it’s the last gun I’d ever sell.
Gosh you must be one of the only reviewers on RUclips who actually praises and respects CZ. One of the best manufacturers on the market and should get much more praise from others!
The SIG226 is out of my price range... So my solution was to buy a Taurus G3C, which accepts and cycles SIG226 magazines. Close enough for us poor people who need a reliable handgun.
It's worth mentioning that the P-09 is equipped with a 19 round flush fit / 21 round extended magazine. (P-10 also uses the same magazines.) Complete beast of a gun and amazingly affordable for the quality.
My current primary carry gun is a CZ 75B in 9mm with an Omega trigger. And when I take it to the range for practice, I have an ordinary 75B in .40 S&W in my holster. The CZs feel right, and their triggers are the best in double-action that I've found, along with the single-action being good.
I picked up a P01 Omega a couple of weeks ago. I don't know how the trigger compares to it's full size counterparts, but it came in at 12 lb in double action. It's smooth, though, with no grit or stacking. It's been an awesome little pistol.
After trying all but the smallest of the P10-series and both DA/SA polymers from CZ (the P07 and P09), I settled on the 75D PCR as my EDC. I'm close to selling my P10S to a friend, as I just don't carry or shoot it as well or as often as the rest, but that isn't the fault of the gun! The P07 and P09 have the Omega trigger(s), and I like them pretty well, but the PCR has some ergonomics I like just a little bit more.
My CZ-75BD has the original silver trigger. Its double action isn’t the best, but the single action is my favorite of any pistol. It has a really unique soft, long wall but not in a spongy way. I’ve always wondered if the decocker negatively affects the double action feel. My friend’s CZ Shadow however has an out of this world double action. I imagine it has a really light main spring to accomplish that though.
You just demonstrated why I’ve voted for you, again, to win your category this year. It never ceases to amaze me how you can rattle off the intricate features of any gun you review…with no “aaa’s”! You be the man. Your shooting skills show your dedication through umpteen hours of practice…that most of us fall short of, but the cost of ammo is as major concern for we non-sponsored people. :) P.S. That one “blind” shot/hit in your bunny suit blew me away!
Yea, give him some more money to buy another $5’000 gun!! If you didn’t have a real job like him and had someone to give you guns and ammo you would know every detail as well.
Great list. Opinions of guys that shoot more guns and more rounds than 99% of us give credibility to this subject. I like the M9A4 and Sig 226 the most. I have the 226 MK25 and 92x Centurion G RDO (and other versions of these). Full size polymer is the M&P9 5" FDE or XDm Elite. Just never warmed up to Glocks after having several but no doubt a reliable tool.
I started off with a glock. Over the years have carried dozens of different very nice firearms. Carried many of the top selling micro 9s as well. But after using and carrying all those great guns I'm back to glocks now. I appreciate them much more now than I used to. I'll always buy other handguns but not sure if I'll ever carry anything other than one besides a p365 when deep concealment is a must
I adore my Sig P227 in .45 auto. Too bad it’s no longer being made. I sold my Sig MK25 (which was the SEAL version). I kept the P227 and it will fit in all my P226 holsters.
@boogingtonthunderwood8969 Sad part about the 14's (The original flawed ones.) only needed a new spring and occasionally a polish inside to run perfectly. Then SIG stopped getting them made, then the guns. 😢
This is my favorite gun channel out there. It may have already been done, but i wish he'd do a .40 caliber list. Yes, i know many people think the 40 is dead. I disagree emphatically! Ive shot them in competition for years as well as for personal carry. Theyre my favorite out there!
I know it's a little silly but I've shoulder carried a Dan Wesson long slide 10mm before, and it's just a fun thing to lug around. Shoulder carry never feels very heavy, either - maybe just because after years of rucking a radio and spare batteries, nothing under about 30lbs feels like serious weight any more! Thanks for the round-up. Always nice to see a good best-of list. Good luck in the Gundies!
Shocked by the crock 17. He just said outdated for the honorable mentions but the “crock” as a company is outdated. The CZ75 is sooooooooooooooo much better.
I have to admit that your list is very comprehensive and I waited with baited breath to find that your number one pick for the top of the list is also my first choice for a full size carry gun. Great video and very informative 👍
@@johnj.baranski6553 If it's a list of compact pistols, there would only be one entry for Glock on the list. All compact Glocks are pretty similar, so it's just a matter of picking a calibre. Sub-compacts wouldn't belong on that list.
Definitely you’d get more of any CZ model than what you pay for, I carry a p-07 because of you and I’m fascinated by DA/SA platform ever since, so thanks for honest reviews.
I love almost every cz I have ever bought a p07 p09 cz scorpion for the price trigger and reliability. I'd take it over a glock every day. With that said, I'd take my canik over a glock. Glocks had their day in the sun, but with new modern pistols, they stayed stagnant, and I own 11 glocks.
Also a CZ guy here. The polymer guns may not get as much love as the metal ones, but I shoot the P09 as well as any of the 75 series. Also p10f and P09 mags are interchangeable now
You never cease to amaze with your unbiased delivery. Whereas the Glock is not at the top of “my” list, I respect your conclusion. My hands are huge and the 1911, P226 and the P320 are my “go to guys” and I shoot them well. You are arguably the best reviewer that I follow and I look forward to what you review next! Keep it up!
@@BIGMASTERJ I've never had any issue with my PDP. The ergonomic are fantastic for my hands. I think it's far more comfortable and shoots better than my Glock 17 and S&W M&P 2.0. I've rented just about every striker fired 9mm and the Walther is my favorite. The only downside is the PDP is kinda big.
Outlaw's comment, "Wow; this could have been a Top 50 to be honest". That is quite a statement and very encouraging to say the least. Solid designs with competent execution are abundant now.
I have a couple SIG Sauer P226s (Legion & Extreme) that I carry on a regular basis; being a bigger guy, I don’t have a problem keeping them concealed. Thoroughly enjoyed the list that you put together!

I had a few poly guns from different manufacturers and when I found doublestack 1911's It felt like I was home. Just as he said. 17+1 and a bot more weight than poly but oh the sweet trigger and the USA history ! Its all worth a few more oz's to me. 😊
I shoot poly guns and all metal but when I pull out the 1911 it just feels good in the hand much like a classic SW revolver. Pick one up and it's "wow".
So stoked to know that 2 pistols I own are on this list, the CZ PO9 and Canik METE. Bought em on your recommendation, Outlaw, and they have NOT disappointed. Thanks, bro.
This was great. Definitely every pistol on the list is outstanding in its own right. I'd rank them Staccato, Wilson, M&P, 226, PDP. I'd also consider adding in the H&K VP9.
If I could only keep one gun, it would be my fnx45 tactical. I didn't figure it would rank very high but im glad it made the list lol. 15 rounds of 45 always gives me the warm fuzzy feeling. Great list outlaw!
Thank you for giving the Hi power an honorable mention. I've been carrying one for years now and yes, it's old fashion, but, it's a Hi Power and that's cool
Got the Girsan MCp35 a few months ago. Grip change and elimination of the magazine disconnect. Shoots like a dream. Always wanted a "real" high power. But this and the Springer are close. I did purchase the Night sights set for a Browning HP MKIII and they fit perfectly. Getting close to 300 rounds through it. Zero issues.
I've been carrying a full size for a couple years now. After having shot a longslide pistol, the easy recoil impulse and long sight radius sold me on the concept.
One thing I love about this channel is your love for the USP. It's an underrated classic IMO, and I'd love to get an Expert in 9mm to go with my standard in 40. Also I'm a huge fan of the p336 (my bump in the night gun). You've got great taste!
Very good list. When possible for me to carry a full-size pistol, I often carry a 226 SAO Legion with a 15 round magazine when concealment is of importance, but a 20 round magazine when its not an issue. I think it is about perfect for a full-size duty pistol. Thanks for the video.
My choice and the ones i am trying to determine which one is the CZP10F and the Walther PDP. I have the M&P 1.0 which is not great and the original Sig 226 Navy but lacks the rail and optics. I am downsizing now so the full size to carry and home defense is important. Thanks or the video
I carried a CZ P-09 as a duty gun when I was doing armed security, and it's very reliable with great hi-capacity.....which was my deciding factor. It was either the CZ or the Springfield XD, and the P-09 was just an all around better choice. To be honest, I was waiting for you to choose the G34 over the G17.
The cz 75 is a better gun than most on this list. Now as far as best value per dollar standpoint goes especially if your only intent is profolactic measure, well then thats quite different.
Just picked up the Walther PDP two weeks ago. It’s the compact with the 5 inch barrel. I’ve never been this happy with a polymer straight out of the box.
Did you mean the smaller frame version. I Only ask because on the boxes only the 4" version says compact. The 5" barrel says full size even on the smaller frame. Usless there's a model i haven't seen yet & thats entirely possible.
@@nova68cutie If I remember right from looking at PDPs a little over a year ago, you could get the 5" slide on your choice of the Compact frame or the Full Size frame.
Wow that is a lot to digest..nice list and Glad you mentioned the 1911. I have owned The Beretta Clone 92 and I have shot a few other Colt 1911 in 45 ACP, I love Smith Revolvers and have had quite a few over 50 yrs of shooting, I now Carry a 1911 In 45 ACP. and a Third Gen Smith 5906 and for those Warm Mich Days I carry a snubbie 38spl In a sticky Holster...great reviews and Channel.....
I HAD a s&w 59-2 which was a POS & junk. I could NOT get rid of it fast enough. I had a lady smith 65-5 same thing. no smiths for me. I will stick with COLT, SIG, & RUGER as in SP 101'S.
Great list. I have always carried a Full size gun as a duty gun and a concealed carried gun so I appreciate this list. My evolution was first with 1911, M9, and M11 as an Army MP. Then. Hey Chris. I believe it's time for you to test the new performance trigger from glock and compare the gun to the pdp , 2.0 and p10 . Because glock in its stock configuration is far from no 1 in any list.
@@PatriotPaulUSA main reason for glocks at this point is the aftermarket and magazines IMO. They’re the easiest thing to find holsters for and their magazines are used by other manufacturers as well, but I agree that they haven’t really been innovative in decades.

Love the SFX for concealed carry, I can will sometimes carry 2 to balance the weight on the hip, current carry is a 44mag 6 shot revolver and G40 10mm MOS with green dot. Easy to carry concealed.
I agree for full-size pistol Glock 17 and Glock 21. Although I love my 226 to death and my 220. I would feel safe with either. I also love the 1911 I just have not been lucky enough to have a reliable one.

SA XDM Elite OSP should have made this list. Totally underrated and overlooked pistol. The reliability and accuracy are stellar. The trigger is very good as well.
@Aaron DiNapoli You should go try an xdm elite osp, as clearly you must not have much experience with one. It honestly shoots as well as my PDP Pro. It feeds everything, reliaby zero issues with over 5k rounds.
@@thetacticalape8852 My friend who is an instructor at a well vetted shooting academy told me that XDs are the highest failing guns of all his students. I’ve put about 2k rounds through an XDM elite, constant FTF, FTE, and double feeds. They’re Croatian made trash.
@Aaron DiNapoli Sorry you had a bad experience with yours, but everyone I know loves theirs. I have never had any of those issues. What's wrong with something made in Croatia vs Turkey or elsewhere for most pistols? My cousin is an FFL, and he sells tons of these, especially when they run promotions. He has never had 1 come back yet.
I do agree with you on this. But in the Glock I’m an oddball. I like the 34 as a full size gun and I like the 19 as a carry gun. I don’t like the 17. I do prefer the S&W M&P, and the Canik.
Your reviews are the best because you appreciate the many fine points that exist on other brands other then just Glock. In fact, when Glock love became #1 in this video and I almost turned this video off. But, I remembered how fair you have been in the past.
@@rpwbass 1.0 get no love & i never understood why. I bought a 1st gen m&p right around the time s&w announced they were pulling the plug on it. Got the .357 sig with the .40 barrel & a new spring. Shot both calibers a few times with it. I was impressed & liked the texture & overstated bever tail contrary to popular option. Kept it & rarely shoot it. I'll bet it doesn't have 150 rounds total under its belt. Once i heard they were discontinued i decided i wanted mine to remain in excellent condition & I'm glad i did.
My personal favorite is the original Beretta APX. Out of the box, the only thing I did to it was add stipling in between the slide protrusions. The sights are good, the trigger is good, it's well balanced and I shoot it well. Aside from the obvious, you must like the gun you're shooting so you will want to practice with it.
Really enjoyed this one. I became a Glockaholic a few years ago (and I actually started off NOT wanting to like them, it's kind of been a crazy story), but also really like 1911s and M&P's. But when it's all said and done, I like them all and wish I was rich. I enjoyed this video a lot.
Happy to see the cz 75 make the list. I just gifted mine to my son and I'm going to miss it but I know where it lives and I can visit from time to time. I have owned this cz 75 longer than I can remember and have used it to dispatch hogs and coyotes as well as a home defense gun. I let my son shoot it and he wanted to buy it from me a couple years ago and has bugged me every since so I gave it to him.
This is a great video. I carry a Sig P226, and I was looking for other options as a secondary carry gun. It would be great to see what gear you like for carrying a full size pistol (e.g. belt, holster, cover garment, etc.)
Mine didn’t make the list but I have a modified Sphinx SDP with a CGW trigger, upgraded hammer spring and trigger spring, and a B&T MK 2 hammer conversion. Absolutely rips.
Picked up alot of 1911's. When i picked up a Rock island 1911 fs ultra in 45 it just felt like it was part of my hand. First pistol, (S&W 686 revolver), and i love it. My 30 year old son likes the feel of it over his glock 19
For work I’ve carried a P226, Glock 21, full size 320 and P09. The P09 was my favorite, hands down. The ergonomics, reliability, trigger, accuracy and balance made it a joy to shoot. The P226 was a close second but it was much heavier and I wasn’t as fast with it. The worst was the Glock 21. It was like carrying a large print Bible on your duty belt. The 320 I was the least accurate with. Terrible balance to that gun. It’s so top and front heavy, especially on the last couple of rounds in a mag where there is less weight in the grip.
g21, g19, p226. My faves. No way czp09 is better not even close. The 226 is heavier than the glock 21. Thep09 is a bigger gun than both but the 21 fires 45 acp and the 226 does 40 and 9mm. cz's only do puny 9mm.
I'm a big fan of the P226 as I have several and a P227 which is 45 ACP. My MK25 and the 227 went to SIG for an action enhancement tune and it improved the trigger a lot, particularly on double action. But my present carry if a S&W M&P Shield+ with the 13 round mag. I've become a big fan of the H&K VP-9 too. I have 3, a regular, an SK and a Match. Great ergonomics and trigger. I'm itching for a Staccato P. I'm not a Glock fan with their odd grip angle. It always screwed me up on point and shoot IDPA segments after shooting my 1911s.

I’ve always wondered if the decocker negatively affects the double action feel. My friend’s CZ Shadow however has an out of this world double action. I imagine it has a really light main spring to accomplish that though.
The P09 is one of my all time favorites and it started me on a long and expensive quest that is the CZ pistols
I like the FireArmGuy every review he does culminates with the “ limp wrist test” it’s comedy gold

I’ve got to tell my wife that over 4 and a half inches is considered “full size”
I'd like to get the mk25. I've had my eye on them for some time now.
@@nova68cutie Love mine, currently my favorite handgun
My P227 and G35 are my gold standard in shoulder holster weather.
Those 14-round 227 mags are expensive as eggs these days.
Collectors item now my 224 and 227 will stay in my collection.

I’d put the CZ SP-01 on the list. One of the most badass full-size pistols out there.
I carried a Glock 21 as an LEO. Was a great gun. My home defense is an HK USP .40. Have never had a failure and I have had it since 1996.
I think a follow up video of top 15 compact guns is a must, but I do enjoy your videos and appreciate your honest reviews, well done!

Same here. I rotate a P07 and a P01. Might start carrying my Shadow 2 for grins. Nah.
Love my P-07, kept the DC, the Safety conversion is easy but feels like its an afterthought to the DeCocker.
Keep it up!
I absolutely love my Walter PDP!! My dad liked it so much he bought one as well.
Amen! Me to-my EDC gun!!!! Love it!!!!
I hear a lot of people complaining about the beaver tail digging into their thumb do you have that issue
Sig 226 one of my all time favorites! I’ve had in 9mm, 40 cal., &. 45 acp.#Sig

Nice review. I just purchased th CZ 75B to replace my Glock 22C. The old CZ75B shot better and felt better in my hand. 👍
I went back to full size carry as well as 1911’s. Feels like coming home. Nice Comp-Tac holster and a couple spare mags runs just fine.
I had a few poly guns from different manufacturers and when I found doublestack 1911's It felt like I was home. Just as he said. 17+1 and a bot more weight than poly but oh the sweet trigger and the USA history ! Its all worth a few more oz's to me. 😊

@Will S the METE is an awesome firearm. Have shot it quite a bit. Haven't had a chance to with the CZ, but can't wait to.

I've been a hammer-fired guy for quite a while now buy I picked up the PDP last week and DAMN WHAT A FANTASTIC GUN.
This was great. Definitely every pistol on the list is outstanding in its own right. I'd rank them Staccato, Wilson, M&P, 226, PDP. I'd also consider adding in the H&K VP9.
i rock a CZP09, and its the best shooting hand gun i have owned. its heavy, only down fall
If I could only keep one gun, it would be my fnx45 tactical. I didn't figure it would rank very high but im glad it made the list lol. 15 rounds of 45 always gives me the warm fuzzy feeling. Great list outlaw!

I just picked up the Springfield SA 35 copy of the Hi power
For 20yrs, I carried a Kimber Raptor full size. To this day it is still my favorite gun!
A few full size favorites are my Walther PDP, CZ Shadow 2 and the Ruger SR1911. All of them are solid, accurate and smooth shooters.
I’d like to throw in my choice. The Walther PPQ M2 .45 ACP. An absolute wonderfully shooting pistol that doesn’t have as much recoil as you’d expect.
I love mine, it's a shame Walther quit making them. The closest thing you can get now is the PDP but I don't know if they make them in .45acp.
A PPQ or P99 in .40 would be even better. Fantastic guns.
Thanks!

I love my p09. Had the slide milled for an RMR and it's what I run in competition

You and I think alike my friend…my 2 favs are my Colt 1911 and my gen III Glock 17.

I think walther, in general not just the pdp, is one of the most underrated manufacturers out there. They’re pretty quiet/stay out of the press, so it feels like not a lot of people know about them. But they have a nice lineup of good pistols.
I'm a bigger guy and prefer to EDC a full size gun, so I really enjoyed your list and review. My EDC is an HK VP9 Tactical. I know you've reviewed the VP9 before, but I'd really like to see you give the full treatment to the Tactical model. I love it for all the great features...optics cut, threaded barrel, rail, grip panels, etc.....
I'm curious who the VP9 production was farmed out to, because they weren't made by HK. The polymer is totally different from that used on the USP, HK45, P30, etc. HK reps have always been very secretive when you ask that question.
15 - FN 45. 14 - CZ P-09 ("one of the best guns on the list . . . stupid reliable . . . low recoil, reliable)". 13 - S&W M&P 5.7 ("phenominal . . . lowest recoil on this list"). 12 - H&K USP Expert. 11 - Sig P226 ("one of the most tested, durable and reliable pistols of all time). 10 - Canik Mete. 9 - FN 5.7. 8 - Staccato P ("my home defense gun"). 7 - Beretta M9A4 ("head over heels in love with this gun"). 6 - H&K P30L. 5 - S&W M&P 2.0. 4 - Wilson Combat CQB 1911 ("possibly my favorite gun . . . $3,000"). 3 - CZ P-10 F. 2 - Walther PDP ("tied with the P-10 F . . . I've used it in my personal life a lot . . . the best trigger on the market, besides maybe the Canik "). 1 - Glock 17 ("a track record of reliability and durability that beats 'most every other pistol . . . the most proven handgun.").
I've been carrying the Beretta m9a3 for almost 2 years now. I use a tier 1 concealed holster and absolutely love carrying it! Glad to see the love for the m9a4
Excellent choice. My M9A3 is really accurate for me. My favorite pistol, need to add a M9A4.
@@MrSmith-zy2bp I'm on the opposite end. I've always wanted the m9a3 but i have the m9a4. I'd love to find a new m9a3 but i have my doubts. In any event, you cant go wrong with ether one.
First carry gun was my Jericho 941R so all polymer full suze guns feel light by comparison now. I like the idea of micro 9s but dont enjoy shooting them
I have two hand guns that have never had a malfunction. My G19X and my Sig P229.
Well, I'm glad to see that most of the pistols on the list are fairly accessible to average people. Putting the Alien on the list wouldn't be right. I still prefer the striker VP9 over the P30. That's just preference. Number 1.... man, I love to hate on Glock. I own a couple too. The 17 is probably Glock's best, most reliable gun. At least half the guns on your list are better shooters though.
Fun video. Definitely agree with the P10F. I have a P10F OR and love it. It's one of my favorites and so easy to shoot well. As for the cz 75 I definitely understand why it was an honorable mention but I do want to say the .40 S&W version is probably the best .40 I've ever shot. I used it as one of my carry options when I worked security. I typically am not a huge fan of 40s and to this day it's the only one I own
Great video. I carry a G17 or G31 about 70% of the year. I carry at 3 o'clock in a DeSantis Slim Tuk.
