Who gives a thumbs down? This album is growing on me. Their best songs tell stories and resonate with something inside people. Been a fan since Snuff the Punk & Brown, and have been my favorite band since!
Meditate by actively listening to the sound in between sounds (silence). Turn the light around by directing attention inside and listening to the silence of your thoughtless mind as if it were your favorite song. Each time thought/judgment arise, accept it and calmly bring attention back to the sound of silence. This takes daily practice (15 mins a day, use a stopwatch) but it's worth it. Very relaxing. Always remember, true listening is listening to the soundless. True looking is looking at the formless.
@907GhosT973 yes, their may be elements of truth in many places, but the Bible is the ultimate truth, and if there is a teaching that contradicts the Bible, then it is not truth. Yes I believe there is quite a bit of truth in Eckhart Tolle's teaching, but there are also parts of it which directly contradict the Bible. He also regularly takes Bible verses out of context. I was a Christian before I discovered Tolles's teachings (and that of other new age teachers), so perhaps I know where you are coming from. But with me, it only served to draw me away from Christ - even if at first, I found it helpful. The Bible teaches that Christ is the only way that men can be saved and the only way to be reconciled to God. What Tolle teaches is a kind of self salvation. Where through letting go of attachment to the world and the need to have control and getting in touch with "presence", you can find true peace and contentment. This state of "presence", according to Tolle, when enough people are in touch with it, is what will bring to fulfilment to the biblical promises of a new heaven and a new earth. This however handily skips over all of the judgement and destruction which is prophesied to come beforehand due to men's sin. Sin in Tolle's theology is dealt with more as doing things which cause pain (either to yourself or others) and besides the resultant pain, no judgement is spoken of. So there is no real objective right or wrong, sin or righteousness. It is more about what causes pain and what doesn't. And the only reason not to do something wrong is because of the pain it will cause (again, either to yourself or others). So Tolle's version of God seems to not really care what we do. Again very different from the Biblical God. To illustrate this, i once heard during a question and answer session with him, a woman ask how she could deal with the pain of losing her lover. It came out that her lover had been married with kids, and due to the guilt of his affair that he was having with this woman, ended up committing suicide. I can't remember Tolle's exact response, but he made no attempt to even hint to the woman that perhaps she shouldn't have been sleeping with a married man (and i understand perhaps it wasn't the right time or place anyway), but to me it pretty clearly illustrated how easy it is to get away with sin when you throw out the idea of divine judgment and objective right and wrong. Eckhart himself by the way, lives with his girlfriend, so obviously fornication isn't such a big deal for him. So finally, if there is no real sin and no real judgment for sin, then there is no real need for a sacrifice for sin. Therefore there is no need for Jesus. Jesus just becomes a good moral teacher, an "enlightened one" like Buddha perhaps, but not a literal son of God who came to take away the sins of the world. Anyway, that is all I have time to write at the moment. If you want biblical references for what I have said I can provide them. So in closing, just be very careful. As I said, I believe there is truth and certainly some very useful philosophy and psychology in Tolle's teaching - such as living in the present and not getting overly attached to anything in the world, but that good teaching is mixed in with some very dangerous lies which took me down a path I wouldn't wish on anybody. God bless.
@907GhosT973 OK good. But just be a little careful with your beliefs regarding the fallibility or otherwise of the Bible. I admit that the Bible isn't perfect in all minor details. For instance there are certainly differences between the gospels. None of these differences however undermine major parts of Christian doctrine. So I belive the Bible is perfect where it needs to be. It is only with minor details which don't affect the overall story or main points where there may be errors. When you start to say "well the Bible was written by fallible men, so such and such a command was probably a mistake so I don't need to obey that part." That's when you can easily get onto a slippery slope of just making up your religion to suit you - which is basically what the new age is. It's kind of like a "best of compilation" for religion. You take all of the most loving, non offensive, and non exclusive quotes you can find from Jesus, mix that with Liberal doses of the best parts of Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, etc. And there you have it. The prefect belief system! Only problem is, with out Jesus the son of God, the only sacrifice for sin, all you are left with is a pleasant, non offensive, easy to swallow anesthetic to life's trouble and pain which will do nothing to keep you peaceful in the Hell that you'll eventually end up in. If you are unsure of the reliability of the scriptures, I suggest checking out material by people such as William Lane Craig, Lee Strobel, Gregory koukl, Ravi Zecharias.

I never heard this song till now, I guess my notifications were off. I retired from the Navy in SD a year ago and right before my retirement a good friend committed sucide. I’ve lost friends on deployment and right before retirement. Thank you for this message that there because people like this are out there going through real issues, but we need to always be there for anyone that wants to talk. Don’t take the easy way out because it’s not easy for the rest of us! On a lighter note, I still cherish the moment I talked with Sonny in The Chula Vista Target.

Keeping the 90's rock sound alive! They still got the grooves. I miss bands like these
All these strangers
Everywhere is danger, this anger
Has got me hating everyone that I see
And all these faces
I'm so afraid of the state of my mind
Everyone's looking at me
I can hear the chaos and the fear
(I'm not alone but no one's here)
So I'm listening for the silence now
I swear I can hear it so clear
Even though it's loud inside my head
So I'm silent, silent
My fear is you don't hear what I hear
Can you make the voices disappear?
So I keep listening for the silence
(Listening for the silence)
Teasing, well you're defeating my patience
I'm breaking, scared of all the shadows I see
And could you save me
Anybody know what they're saying
Please tell me, I just want them to leave
I can hear the chaos and the fear
(I'm not alone but no one's here)
So I'm listening for the silence now
I swear I can hear it so clear
Even though it's loud inside my head
So I'm silent, silent
My fear is you don't hear what I hear
Can you make the voices disappear?
So I keep listening for the silence
When these words fail
Then nothing just might make sense
Are you talking to me?
Are you speaking to me?
'Cause when these words fail
Then nothing just might make sense
'Cause when these words fail
Then nothing just might make sense
Are you talking to me?
Are you speaking to me?
'Cause when these words fail
Then nothing just might make sense
And you can say anything
Then nothing just might make sense
I swear I can hear it so clear
Even though it's loud inside my head
So I'm silent, silent
My fear is you don't hear what I hear
Can you make the voices disappear?
So listen, listen
I swear I can hear it so clear
Even though it's loud inside my head
So I'm silent, silent
My fear is you don't hear what I hear
Can you make the voices disappear?
So I keep listening for the silence

P.O.D. You are the greatest!! Thanks for the music all these years!!! And This is incredible song and wonderful I have ever heard, I like this song a lot!!!
I love song 🎵
I never heard this song till now, I guess my notifications were off. I retired from the Navy in SD a year ago and right before my retirement a good friend committed sucide. I’ve lost friends on deployment and right before retirement. Thank you for this message that there because people like this are out there going through real issues, but we need to always be there for anyone that wants to talk. Don’t take the easy way out because it’s not easy for the rest of us! On a lighter note, I still cherish the moment I talked with Sonny in The Chula Vista Target.

My local radio station was playing this. I was stoked because it sounded like POD and I missed having them on the radio. I looked them up and found the exact song. I love it.

Everytime i hear this i think of my anxiety and tryin to find some calm and silence in my mind. Great song
I think of my schizophrenia and the voices that I hear
This is one of my favorite albums of theirs.
Have you never listened to "Satellite" Song and album? The album is damn near untouchable compared to their others.
However i will admit this is my opinion too..but others seem to agree as well.
Chida rola. Estuve en la calle, también soy veterano, abrazo a p.o.d.
@P.O.D thanks for ur music it really me through this hard time in my life. I suffer from anxiety and depression. These songs have a lot of meaning to me because I feel this way. I listen for the silence in my head and I want the voice that tell me im worthless and should both to be around. Depression is real and people die from it everyday. with out music to sing along to I think I would break SO THANK YOU SO MUCH for all that u do this goes out to u.
