I was going about 110mph getting ready to slam my car into a pillar when this song came on and had me second guessing what I was about to do. My brother called me near the end of the song and talked simple words of love and appreciation. This song literally saved my life. I just lost my first child and my fiance left me shortly after I had come home from deployment to Afghanistan. It took me years to rebuild myself but had it not been for POD coming on the radio on a September Friday night 7 years ago I wouldn't be here. I now have 2 beautiful happy children and a woman who treats me well. My post-traumatic stress has turned into post-traumatic growth. Thank you for the years and years of good music. I've been listening to you guys since the early 2000s when I was a kid in San Diego! Love your music.

Was at the POD new tour for Veritas this past Saturday night (5/4/2024) in Colorado Springs, CO and they played this song. It was so so powerful. The whole place was singing it. Thank you for writing such a beautiful song and sharing it with us live. Great moment at a great show!
I saw them on Thursday this past week and they performed this song and I'm in tears just closing my eyes thinking about how sunny Play the song was so much emotion.
i was sitting in my room with a rope in my hand ready to end it all, i had my radio playing still and this song came on, i thought it was over that night. and this song was why i stopped. it made all of the things i would miss out on run through my head. i was 12, i wouldn’t have made it to highschool. i wouldn’t be where i am today. just know that you have purpose to your life, and you are here for a reason. your life may seem like shit now but it will get better, no matter how much you tell yourself that nobody wants you here and nobody cares about you, there is always someone. live life to its fullest, make it fun while it lasts.
Celebrate that despite everything that has happened in your life, you are still here which means there are still possibilities for good things to happen and chances to connect with others, to help inspire someone to stick around a little longer despite how impossible it seems to look beyond the current circumstances or trauma. Glad you are still here with us; there will not be another You, especially for those who know and love you or could know and love you in the future! Keep on keeping on!

I used to self harm, because I never really had a reason to live anymore. I remember when this song first came out, and I remember listening to it over and over, because it gave me encouragement to keep going. 2 years of not hurting myself. It'll be 3 in January. But I started to feel really sad earlier today, and I looked up this song, and here I am, listening to it over and over again. Thank you to P.O.D. for writing such an amazing song, a song that still touches my heart to this day. A song that reminds me that my pain and sadness will end someday and that everything will be okay. Thank you for encouraging me to keep going in life

Wow, I started listening to POD back in 98, 99 something like that. I was just divorced and had custody of our at the time 10 yr old son. We went to church and listened to POD and now at the present I cant say I have any of their music on file. I have not even heard them in years. But looking at the Cascade Ticket calendar (northwest) I see they are coming to PDX. So I came here to see whats new with them, I heard this some and just started to cry for some reason. That`s not happened in a while. I love you guys, Thank you!

7 years living abroad.. despite many attempts I have no friends. Got cheated on and abandoned by people I tried to befriend with. The silence and loneliness is abismal. I love this song. First time I heard it was in a church. At a rehab. I use to struggle. I never forgot it and look it up and jam it from time to time. 5 yrs now almost clean. Did this song save my life? Not mine. But it sure didn't hurt it. Seems it's been a life saver for alot of other people though. It's a really good song.

One of my favorite things about music videos has always been watching the band and seeing how and why this song sound the way it does (what instruments are being played and how). Watching the guy play the virtual drum machine on his iPad gave me such a specific kind of joy that I don't know if anyone else feels.

This was my middle school boyfriend’s song for me when I was 13, depressed, and had a lot of self confidence issues. He downloaded it onto my phone and told me to listen to it and think of him whenever I didn’t feel beautiful.

I've gone through hell and back again because of being bullied and one precious thing i've learned is this, life is short and it's much more beautiful than the dark hurtful words of shallow people lost in brokenness, my life is a gift and after surviving suicide I know that God has a plan that is far better than what a few people who cannot see past their hatred can see. I'm beautifully made by a loving saviour of grace and mercy and my life has a purpose that is a melody played by the author of all creation and it's a symphony of grace unending.

Usually bands have one style that they’re much stronger with than the other styles they play (like some bands sound better when they’re playing heavy music and some bands sound much better with their softer songs) but everything POD comes out with manages to touch me inside. It’s all got ethos, it’s pathos, and most of all it ALL has SO MUCH logos. They don’t even have to be talking about Christian God (I’m not Christian, but I have nothing but love for true Christians and the positive messages that Christianity has) for you to feel His love through their music.
I don’t know if POD will ever read this or if they’re even actually involved in this channel directly, but if they do and they are then I really want to tell every single member of the band that I love them. They’ve gotten me through some of the hardest and darkest experiences of my life. Been a fan since 1997 when I was 7 years old. Thank you guys so much for everything you’ve done for me. And I KNOW that I’m far from the only one who feels this way.

Bobby Reeves apparently the song has been out since mid-2013. Apparently the radio didn't think people would like to hear such an amazing song and it really offends me. They would rather play crap that has no meaning and is overly repetitive. At least we have youtube so we can keep searching for amazing music from artists we grew up listening to. +Shane Harris I got bullied a good bit in highschool. I feel like in some ways it made me a better person. It showed me the type of person that I don't want to be. There is never any reason to pick on others.
