My mic didnt work either. I was told its the cord. Need a type trrs to trrs on each end. Looks like you had trs to trrs
I ended up sending it back along with the camera. Now I am looking for another camera and mic not so expensive but it seems like the expensive ones are the only way to go for quality.

Those weird chinese knock off cameras are terrible, if you want a good camera get the Sony ZV-1f used.

You say that but the cheapest second hand ones are literally like £400-£500??? And they sell fast and you get outbid by snipers. The only way to get one is buy first hand unless you want to keep trying and failing to bid. It’s literally super expensive whichever way you put it. Also there’s a video with this exact camera made by a pro and it looks amazing so really, it’s a skill issue. This camera is decent for noobs that don’t have much experience or funds to get a more intermediate rig
@@KawaiiKermit Nah I've seen some Sony ZV-1's which is the older version go for like $200 on Ebay, the old version of the camera is stil very good. This cheap Chinese camera is literally horrible, you'd be better off recording on an old phone.
