Everyone: MASSACRE GIRL NO! Massacre girl: *coming back from the buffet with a plate of food to see everyone standing around a dead body* okay I swear this wasn’t me
My guess is that Lazav is heavily involved. Either he is helping provide someone with an alibi (e.g. Kaya wasn't pulled aside by the real Teysa) or is trying to frame someone to take advantage of the growing tensions.
I like this. He could’ve impersonated Kaya to commit the murder, so an eyewitness would name her, then impersonated Teysa to keep Kaya from finding the body too early.
I don't think the suspect is anyone mentioned in the video but someone shown in the artwork picture. In my opinion, The suspect is massacre girl. After reading her lore and finding more about her she's my number one prime suspect. She is after all a contract killer for hire and has issues with most of the guilds and their leaders. Even threatening to kill the guild leaders if they try to capture or attempt to kill her.
The story hints that some of the guilds are in a weakened state following the phyrexian invasion, which explains the absense of some of the guilds. The golgari were largely destroyed after Vraska compleated them. Similarly many of the izzet became compleated after their experimentation with the glistening oil. House dimir was also said to have been wiped out in the invasion, though I don't remember Vraska targeting the guild, and perhaps they used the invasion as an opportunity to once again retreat into the shadows. As for who I think is doing this? I think house dimir is the easy suspect and probably won't be the culprit Wizards goes with (at leastI hope not, though they weren't very subtle about Emrakul being the unknown influence on Innistrad) And what I'm thinking might be the case is surviving members of the golgari using the gala as an opportunity to even the playing field between themselves and the remaining guilds by knocking out key players.
I think the people who are responsible are the agency because if they were able to get all the guilds under them they could get rid of the guilds and make one cohesive body
I predict that the victim will be someone important to the Boros guild, as the flavor text of one of the newer cards has Aurelia saying that if The Agency doesn’t find out who did this the Boros will declare war on the Rakdos. So whomever is doing this is also trying to frame the Rakdos.
I see this going one of two ways. Either, it's one of the presented suspects and they're going to flee to Thunder Junction or it's going to be one of the villains from the Thunder Junction art and that's how we'll Segway to the next set. Rakdos would check both boxes, but I feel like Vraska, Jace, or Oko would be pretty interesting suspects.
This, also the place has less strict color pair identity unlike the guilds, but I guess it was easier to write on Ravnica as it's more iconic and comes with political intrigue built in, where Fiora would require at least a recap of the conflicting parties
After reading through all of the available comments so far I'm surprised that as far as I can tell I'm the only one who thinks there are two murders. I think the murderers are Jace and Vraska which is why we see their silhouettes on the key spoiler art for Outlaws at Thunder Junction.
Regardless of whodunnit, Thunder Junction is 2000% getting new guests after all this shenanigans. I love how some of y'all suggest that we're seeing Oko much sooner than we think, but Lazav is still a likely suspect.
Unlikely but here I go: It is Azor who used the omenpath to get back to Ravnica from Ixalan and doesn't like the current state of his guild. We can see the Wojek Investigator inspecting some blue feather in the artwork.
Oh I agree. I wish we learned more about Azor when we went to Ixalan. He’s such a big character, he’s alive, like come on! Only thing o can say is Azor no longer has a memory. Jace erased it. He may not remember Ravnica
@@AetherHubtrue but we can assume there is an omen path from ixalan to ravnica considering kellen is now here. So while it becomes super contrived it’s not impossible for azor to stumble onto ravnica. We also know people like Vraska have regained memories after having jace wipe them. So showing up on ravnica could “unlock” azor’s memory
@@AetherHub I thought that Jace just used the contract magic of the living guildpact to order Azor to stay on a specific island on Ixalan. Since being a signatory of the guildpact put him under it's power, as opposed to having any of his memories erased. It could be possible that the transfer of the Living guildpact role could have caused this to ware off, thus allowing Azor to go back to Ravnica if he so wished.
Since it's based on Clue, it's kind of a failure if we get a single correct answer. It should be all the candidates could have done it and we don't get a canon answer.
My money will be on the guildless. As their power rises and the guild powers fall having them rip each other apart pointing fingers allowing the guildless to take more funder from them.
I’m mildly interested in the hook, but find it pretty cheap to keep the victim a secret. Makes the speculation about the motive too vague. We don’t even know why this specific victim matters.
Idk it may be obvious but I'd be surprised if a person named massacre girl had nothing to do with the deaths as she seems to be on a lot of promotional stuff
Rakdos are known killers but killers with flare. A simple flavorless murder is beneath them. Gruul aren't capable of a clean quiet kill. Simic are messy but unpredictable. Izzet are ingenious but also far more "creative" than Rakdos. Bordering on madness. The obvious suspects are those of Dimir and Orzhov for their tact as well as all they'd have to gain from such Unfortunately Wizards has all but removed the guilds as suspects. They're in the set but not prominent as are a number of guildless in attendance. Massacre Girl for one but she's too obvious even for Wizards. Best look to one who isn't in a guild who'd add shock value at the reveal
@@AetherHub Niv-Mizzet is too devoted to his new job. Not to mention, he is the guilds. Jace is an interesting idea, even if unlikely. Maybe we should look to a "visitor" to Ravnica
I think we see Etrata in the art as someone who is present at the party. In addition Szadeck may be still alive and in Agyrem if the word of Doug Beyer still stands from 2012. so the murder being part of some king of House Dimir civil war could be fun.
I agree on both counts. Subtlety and subterfuge aren't exactly skills in the gruul toolkit. Lazav or house dimir in general are really easy suspects, but I'm in two minds on this one. A GOOD mystery will give you the obvious suspect before revealing information as to why they couldn't be the culprit, but we've seen with Shadows over Innistrad that Wizards doesn't know how to do misdirection or mystery in their stories (unless they learned that skill in the years since) But my current suspicion as that the culprit comes from the remainders of the golgari swarm. They've never held much love for the other guilds, and in their currently weakened state, it's possible they're using the gathering as an opportunity to take out key members of other guilds to even the playingfield.
I can fully see why you would target these suspects, they are shady and murderous, but we're talking about a story, and it's honnestly, too simple, I personnally think it's The Boros Legion, here are my reasons -The Boros have fallen in the public eyes, if the Orzohv are the savers and not the military that means they were less useful during the invasion and therefore lost reputation. -They are angry that the new agency is taking their role as crime solvers, and Aurelia in a few cards that were spoiled by WoTC has been shown to put pressure on them, she want them to fail so she can show that they are useless, then she will wage war against Rakdos, put them in the murderer seat because it's Rakdos, a perfect suspect. Plus if that fails they can go to the gruuls. It's perfect for them. -I also feel like the boros always seemed scummy in many stories, but they hide in that good samaritan face, but they could be able to do something like that. -Nobody would target them at first, they are peacekeeper! They could never do so! But after two invasions, they may start to become even more rutheless as they were before. -And Finally, it's just really to boring to go for either the assasin guild, the crackheads hippies or the sadomasochists as the murderer, MTG story is, according to me getting slightly better, therefore they want a big twist, and making the often portrayed nice guys as the murderers is a pretty neat twist.
I think in true mystery fashion, the culprit isnt any of them. Itll be someone else who was either a nobody, soneone who Omenpathed their way in, or Tibalt (in true story fashion, he aint dead until someone sees him dead).
I have two possible picks either the guildless guy. or Lazov who has killed the guildless guy and took his place or killed teysa and took her place. or a possibility that guildless guy is Lazov all along in disguise. The lazov could get him a new card that chooses a creature and he becomes that creature and then destroys the original one.
Who else thinks Kellen's card in this set will be green with a red adventurer spell? Side prediction: I think in the set where Kellan does find Oko, well get a naya Kellen card.
I actually think this Kellan will be W/U since we have W/R, and W/G Kellans, unless he is meant to be Naya, but the detective theme fits better in Azorius colors
@@Zacama_27 Fair. Part of me wants to say he will be naya in the end because I'm seeing parallels between Kellan and Ben Tennyson from Ben 10 (who I theorize is naya based on how Ben acts through out the prime Ben 10 continuity) and Ben's a really good detective (when he's not being written poorly). Or maybe Kellan's going to be WUBRG in his final iteration if his color identity changes based on the plane he's on?
@@Dragonshade64 There's a Fallout themed Universes Beyond set in between Murder at Karlov Manner and Outlaws of Thunder Junction. My gut's strongly telling me that Kellan will find Oko in Outlaws of Thunder Junction and shenanigens will ensue. Massacre girl: *coming back from the buffet with a plate of food to see everyone standing around a dead body* okay I swear this wasn’t me
LMFAO 🤣 OK this is in my cannon now
She's been questioned about so many murders, some of them she didn't even commit!
My guess is that Lazav is heavily involved. Either he is helping provide someone with an alibi (e.g. Kaya wasn't pulled aside by the real Teysa) or is trying to frame someone to take advantage of the growing tensions.
I would always have eyes on the Dimir. 👁️
I like this. He could’ve impersonated Kaya to commit the murder, so an eyewitness would name her, then impersonated Teysa to keep Kaya from finding the body too early.
I think it's OJ but he's claiming the glove does not fit tactic again. 😂
He’s always making trouble when he slips into Ravnica 👀
Fun fact: blood shrinks leather.
This was all Teysa's plan to die and ascend as the new Ghost Council sole ruler
Whoa that would be a twist, but also really fitting! Following in her families legacy
I don't think the suspect is anyone mentioned in the video but someone shown in the artwork picture. In my opinion, The suspect is massacre girl. Red herring
Massacre girl is such an obvious suspect that it’d actually be anticlimactic to have her be responsible
MG is all about the spectacle and a big string of kills, this doesn't seem her style.

Ah yes, great detective work! Let's start accusing "suspects" when we don't even know who was murdered yet.

I bellieve that this history istalment would be better suited in Fiora rather than Ravinica.

It’s a really setting itself up as a fun set :)
It was definitely Fblthp. Who's better at hiding and blending into crowds?
I think it was dr plum in the kitchen with the rope quick someone check the cards
Ohh it all checks out!
🤔 Not 💯% sure on this but it could have been me… or Massacre Girl.

It was Mark Rosewater
It was some Ghost possesing different people. The sand from Prost hand on a card (Deduce) could suggest that. And Kaya can deal with it properly :)
