    With this great tool, Atlassian will finely be able to fix all the existing problems on Confluence and Jira the community is actively requesting for !

    Atlassian continues to try to edge in on Productboard's territory. This looks much better than previous attempts.

    Why not integrate it with other products? When using this for backlog priority for example, we need to re-create 20+ items in a separate project when planning a sprint. Would be nice to also use it purely for giving prio to backlog items.

    Some neat features. My main concern is that i already have a jira workspace for delivery, it would be perfect if i could "pull" the prioritized initiatives to the delivery board.

    It looks really good but my main feedback is that we are already doing 95% of this in a normal Jira project, and while this adds some neat features to save a few clicks, I don't see it justifying duplicate licenses for another Atlassian product, migrating everything, and training everyone.
    If it's a free tool that comes with Jira Software or something like this, we'd probably switch to using this, and I could see a product manager who didn't already have Jira licenses using this instead of Jira, but I can't see it making sense to use both at the same time. Just not enough differentiation for me.

      @@Atlassian I'm using it! I'm not so keen to get the business hooked on it though without knowing what pricing (including the inevitable need for add-ons) will look like.

      @@Atlassian - I mean I know Atlassian must be used to gripes about the pricing model especially with add-ons. Nothing new there.
      But again, if we need to pay for separate licenses on top of Jira (and Service, and Access, and Confluence) then it really needs to do some things the other products don't.
      It already is (being honest) extremely annoying that we have to double pay for Jira + Service considering that Service is just Jira with a few features added.
      IMO you should seriously be looking into a base license and just add on other sister apps as add-on licenses.
      There's just no way I'm gonna to greenlight paying full price for 3 versions of Jira per user at full price, especially knowing darn well there'll probably be a 4th one in 3-4 years.

      This is for people that are already using a SaaS software to fill this gap like Product Board. The PB integration with JIRA is shaky at best and this eliminates our need for PB.

    How well does JIRA Product Discovery work with JIRA Work Management? For instance, would it be easy to utilize the roadmap functionality to tack deliverables for multiple projects in JWM?

  • @scholtzy4061
    @scholtzy4061 Год назад

    Considering the amount of insight user experience/ product designers do, why not find a way to integrate with existing tools? That would make this tool NOT just a product management tool but something equally important to the product trio.

  • @SandraIndia
    @SandraIndia Год назад

    Would you do a video on JIRA Product discovery as it pertains to JIRA Work Management? We don't have JIRA Software. Only JWM, JSM, and Confluence. We are specifically interested in the roadmap functionality of JIRA Product and tracking multiple projects in JWM.

      Hi, Van! Jira Product Discovery is a separate product from Jira Software and it's free for anyone to try. You can either ask your admin to give you access or you can spin up a free site under your own email to explore - both from this page: www.atlassian.com/software/jira/product-discovery

    Can shareholder feedback sharing be done to external stakeholders that are not part of JIRA project?

    • @Atlassian
      @Atlassian  Год назад

      Hi there! You can share views externally via jpeg or exporting data to Excel or Google Sheets, but for stakeholders to leave feedback directly in ideas, they will need a Jira subscription.

    I like the approach Jira is taking here, attempting to keep the entire cycle in Jira tools and mitigating investment in other Product tools. Question though, if i use Confluence to write a PRD, how do I get this linked to Product Discovery, right now i link my Confluence through to a story or epic in Jira? and why is Product Discovery created asa space in Jira and not a separate module in Jira like Confluence is?

    • @Atlassian
      @Atlassian  2 года назад

      Hi, Matt! There is no Confluence integration at the moment so you would need to simply add the Confluence link to the PRD manually. This is on our roadmap to improve.
      Product Discovery is created as a space in Jira and not a separate module because Jira Product Discovery is built on Jira meaning they have a common engine (fields, automation, etc). It is not an entirely different product like Confluence.
